1  Other / Meta / Re: Do you use 'All' option given next to topic links to read all comments in... on: September 30, 2023, 12:00:15 PM
I wonder if anyone uses it.
I regularly use this feature to search for certain keywords and keyphrases on threads with no more than 25 pages, as opposed to reading all of the comments in this manner [referring to your question in the subject field].

It is also not easier to search, as you will have to wait and then click C+F5 and the number of pages that are loaded is limited.
Open https://ninjastic.space/ and use the search feature using topic ID, which you will get by copying the link to the topic and you will find a unique number in it, which is topic ID. available options at https://ninjastic.space/ are good and faster
Even though the above website is indeed better, it's still not that fast with regard to threads that contain a lot of pages [e.g. 100+] "if" you don't own a computer mouse with a free/infinite scrolling mode [you have to keep scrolling until the next batch of comments is loaded].
2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Easybit.com - Cryptocurrency Exchange Service on: September 30, 2023, 11:05:25 AM
Feel free to check our Fee Structure and learn more about how it works: https://easybit.com/fees
Out of curiosity, what sort of volume [single transaction] would automatically trigger the system to require users to go through the KYC process?

The addition of VPM is a nice touch, but I can think of a situation that might have a bad outcome: e.g. For users who transact smaller amounts while mempool is full.

I believe this is a purchase domain and the site was configured only this year based on the update
Based on "this archive", it appears that they've been around for a few years already.
3  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Issue with Exodus app on mobile phone (android) on: September 29, 2023, 07:09:08 PM
Have anyone else had the same exp before?
As a former user, I never experienced such a thing.

It's strange that it's just happens after a year of using the app, and the app is also downloaded from Google Play.
It's worth noting that Google Play can't provide 100% protection against all of the apps on its platform: e.g. A million people downloaded these malicious apps before they were finally removed from Google Play

I never share anything or download any shit at any time, never.
A couple of notes:

  • At one point, you "did" download the app in question and perhaps at that time, you were connected to a public Wi-Fi [updating an app counts as well]!
  • Am I correct in assuming that you're using a device with an outdated software [android version, security patches, and the apps themselves]?

anyway I instantly moved the bitcoin I had there to another wallet and deleted the app, then I tried to install it again and everything was back to normal, but I did not reset that wallet, I created a new one.
If I were you, I'd do a factory reset prior to installing the app again!
4  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 40 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: September 29, 2023, 03:48:47 PM
- Added lots of new filters
Quite impressed with how well you managed to squeeze in those filters Wink

Two new SafePal additions to our hardware wallets comparison:
Now anyone can collaborate by adding missing data, fixing errors, or adding new wallets.
I'm not that good with GitHub stuff, so here are a few corrections:

  • The other day, I mentioned in "another thread" that X1 comes with a battery capacity of 200mAh + it's no longer in the pre-order phase [you might want to change its lable].
  • S1 Pro has a 320*320 resolution [on the "same product page", they're claiming that's also the case with the non-pro variant].
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have a project, I expect your support. You can be a partner. on: September 28, 2023, 04:37:04 PM
a Forum Site with Mobile Application - Related to ETH BTC
Would you mind providing an in-depth explanation with regard to the gap this forum is going to fill for both Bitcoin and Ethereum communities?
- How does it differ from the rest?

Our site is under construction. Mobile software is out.
I'm not a developer by any means, but AFAIK, the latter is normally based on the site/forum that's representing, so how come you've been able to release the app first?
6  Economy / Collectibles / Re: "Plagiarism" and Bitcoin Collectibles on: September 28, 2023, 02:40:47 PM
Would you ever buy a piece like this (likewise plagiarized)?!
If I knew it was a direct plagiarism of a portion of someone else's work [like in your example], my answer would be a big fat NO [even if it cited sources], but if it was just influenced by another art while adding its own touch [+ citing the sources], I might reconsider!

How artist and collectors could avoid to bring in collection  "questionable"?
This is one of those things that's quite tricky... We can come up with a bunch of steps that could help in identifying them, but these steps will only minimize their chances and on top of that, there's also the issue of unethical artists finding a workaround to these steps.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when you look at your first Bitcoin wallet? on: September 28, 2023, 12:51:45 PM
I was so depressed seeing the volume of Bitcoin that have passed through my wallet without me saving a reasonable portion of it.

I have the feeling that many forum users too have similar experience; do kindly share just maybe I can feel a little better knowing that I'm not a lone.
If it makes you feel any better, I did lose access to a wallet that contained all of my mined coins from a few months of mining in early 2011!
- I didn't expect it to have this kind of impact and success, so it was just for fun, hence having no backups (SMH).
8  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: NEW SafePal X1 hardware wallet on: September 27, 2023, 04:31:58 PM
I checked multiple sources and they are all saying battery is 128mAh, but you never know with stuff coming from China  Wink
Manuals often have outdated or different information, something like this happened in my case with one item I purchased from China recently, it happens more than you think.
Only way to confirm battery and screen color is to see review testing from someone, and I heard they gave a lot of Safepal X1 devices for free in Singapore, so they are coming soon.
While we're still waiting for the first batch of reviews to come out, I noticed they've finally updated or rather corrected the above two errors by mentioning the "200mAh battery" and "monochrome" in different parts of its product page.
9  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [Tutorial] BlueWallet - Bitcoin Wallet Discussion on: September 27, 2023, 02:55:28 PM
Another thing I do not like about Bluewallet is that it will not show the last thing you have done in the wallet. Like if you send bitcoin, it will not show it until you close the app and open it again.
As an Android [v13] user who did some tests in the past, I never experienced it, so it might have something to do with your device or its operating system [did it happen in iOS?].

The third thing is that the fee is not accurate, it is 1 sat/vbytes lower than mempool estimation.
In addition to hosseinimr93's comment, if you tap the green 1 sat/vByte button you'll get a different set of fees that are closer to what's listed on the mempool.space.
10  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin-vpn.com - a huge list of Bitcoin and other crypto friendly VPN providers on: September 27, 2023, 01:19:48 PM
and some were removed.
Not sure why you've moved ProtonVPN to the "Temporary unavailable" section, but I just checked and the Bitcoin option is still there for the free account holders who are looking to upgrade... Any sign that they might drop this option [couldn't find anything in their subreddit and Twitter feed]?
11  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Meron paba tayong miner dito? anu na pinagkakaabalahan ninyo sa crypto on: September 25, 2023, 06:32:31 PM
Kelan ka nagstart magmine  ng bitcoin?
Around late 2010 or early 2011 ako nag simula sa pag mamine ng Bitcoin pero hindi nagtagal masyado dahil namatay yung GPU ko after ilang months ng 24/7 mining at since estudyante pa ako noon, kinalimutan ko yung idea ng mining hanggang sa few years ago [2017] na nag mine ako ng mga altcoins gamit an isang multipool [ZPOOL] na may auto-convertion feature para Bitcoin parin ang makukuha ko [last time na nag mine ako was around 2021].
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Accumulating Bitcoin with ease on: September 25, 2023, 03:03:44 PM
BTC transaction charges most times may scare customers away from paying with BTC.
That's weird! You can easily transfer $1 Million worth of Bitcoins for less than a couple of dollars, but you can't achieve something similar while using the traditional methods to transfer such amounts!
13  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor problem! on: September 24, 2023, 08:40:48 PM
Is there currently a solution or advice from Trezor?
I didn't spot any posts from their support staff on the following threads [#1, #2 and #3], but this is what they said for a somewhat similar issue on the Model T:

Does Nano Ledger also experience this? wow, what do you think is the cause? and is there a solution from Ledger regarding this problem?
Yes, it's a common issue with their discontinued S version [refer to the number three on "this" thread] and the only solution was/is to replace it with another display that'd probably also die.

If you don't know how to disassemble the unit there is a guide on YouTube on how to tear down Trezor
~Snipped~
Thank you for your useful tips. I will examine this further. And looking for someone who specializes in electronics in my area to help with the screen recovery process on my trezor. Luckily Trezor Suite still detected my hardware wallet device
If I were you, I'd try to do it by myself [you can still open it without a tool like... Another user did it with just an "Exacto knife" on the Model T (the same applies to Model One, but you need to be patient while you're trying to pry it open)]!
14  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PhilHealth under siege: US$300,000 ransom set by Medusa ransomware group on: September 24, 2023, 07:18:57 PM

Kahit sabihin pa natin na contain na nila ito, all they did was to stop it from spreading more [sa ibang salita, it doesn't change the fact na may mga affected na data (unfortunately)]!
- Here's the link to their "official statement".
15  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor problem! on: September 23, 2023, 03:41:14 PM
I have changed the USB, ports and cables that can transfer data many times. The result is still the same, my Trezor screen is dead.
Is it being detected on the Trezor Suite? If Yes, then it could be suffering from the same issue that most of the Nano S devices do [I did some digging on Trezor's subreddit, and a few users have reported screen dimming issues on their devices]!

  • Can you check if you can see something in a very dark room [or with the help of your mobile camera] when you plug it into a power source?
    - Considering that it's no longer under warranty, if you see something, you probably have to order a display replacement from the internet... It uses "2864HSWEG01".

Do you often use your Trezor?
Once every three/four months.

I have edited it, it was a mistake.
Smiley

Trezor wallet has been one of the hardware wallets I do recommend, but only its coinjoin that I do not recommend, which is from Wasabi.
Exactly, it's a shame they chose that route.
16  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PAL nagintroduce ng kanilang NFT on: September 23, 2023, 02:48:08 PM
Medyo nashock lang din ako sa price neto mahal.
~Snipped~
Kung kayo ang tatanungin bibili kaba ng ganetong NFT?
Sang ayon din ako na mahal yung presyo nito at personally, I hate NFTs pero having said that, if I were someone who liked attending such events while also having maraming spare cash, baka bibili din ako dahil sa mga perks nito:

  • Sinabi doon sa article na yung mga PAL NFT holder magkakaroon ng VVIP tickets for three years [nag charge sila ng 46k para sa ticket na ito ("61k pag hindi kasama yung discount")] + tickets for Metaverse Fashion Gala [not sure kung magkano ito]
    - It's worth noting na hindi ko pa sinama yung 85k na mabuhay miles + mukhang mga 100k is enough for something na they're claiming may value na around 275k.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor problem! on: September 23, 2023, 12:53:35 PM
It suddenly turned off and wouldn't turn on when I connected it to my laptop/computer.

I've tried changing the USB but it's still the same. Is my Trezor broken?
By changing the USB, are you referring to the port that's plugged in or the cable that came with it? If it's not the latter, then you might want to try it with another cable that's capable of transmitting data.
- I also own a Model One and I've never experienced such a thing.

Trezor wallet supposed to be one of the best altcoins wallet, but it is a close source wallet and not recommendable.
Trezor is open-source!
18  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Are you looking for ASIC Miner hosting? Terahash Solutions has you covered. on: September 22, 2023, 05:35:40 PM
My business partner has been operating the facilities for over 3 years.
Would you mind providing more information about your business partner?

- It's worth noting that your terms and conditions page isn't configured correctly [it goes to the "Contact Us" page].
- How can you ensure those who'd choose your hosting services for their newly purchased miners that the miners that'd be assigned to them are actually brand new and not something that's been in use for some time?
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: September 22, 2023, 03:30:23 PM
Speaking about Spiral explorer, it seems that its name was modified meanwhile, although it did not pass the Beta phase yet. According to their website, the new name is Blyss. Should we also update this name in our tables (current and old formats / OP and translated topic)?
Great catch and while we're at it, perhaps we should also update the link with the one that's present on the "main" website: btc.blyss.dev [still doesn't respond to any of my search queries]
- usespiral.com is redirecting to blyss.dev ("trace result").

Withe the latest firmware, the total hashpower of this device is 55Kh/s maximum (peak value, not sustained).
Have you tried pairing it with one of those tiny fans to see if the airflow improvement would be good enough to deal with the thermal throttling so it could sustain that hashrate?

The following is the full list of boards capable of running 1.61.
And "1.6.2" as well Smiley

There are 99 mining pools in this list, SoloCK is there but HAN is not.
Refer to "this" part.
