141  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Safepal hardware wallet review and opinions on: January 31, 2024, 02:03:35 PM
It appears that you accidentally reposted the blog post from last week... This is the correct link: NFTGo Exclusive: Gonesis NFT Whitelist Giftbox event

Despite not being a big fan of Safepal products, I have to admit they seem to have the fastest delivery times among known brands... This user received his/her "USDC limited edition" after three days only!
142  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Keystone 3 HW coming soon! on: January 30, 2024, 10:34:26 PM
Keystone should rename and rebrand to Discount hardware wallet... they are offering reduced prices all the time Wink
Exactly, that's been their marketing strategy for as long as I can remember, and if they keep doing it, sooner or later it'd have a reverse effect on how people see their brand as a whole.

Interesting for all ledger users who want to make a transition and buy keystone wallet they have lifetime 28% discount if they have prrof of purchased ledger!

A cheeky move, but I love it Cheesy

They are preparing release of Bitcoin only Keystone device around Bitcoin halving, that should be in few months probably.
I'm wondering if that finally means it's the end of the road for the non-Pro variant [they're already way behind schedule].
143  Economy / Services / Re: I need a sms provider that works with Audible.com and most sites btc on: January 30, 2024, 06:53:36 PM
Can you recommend any for long term (even permanent) sms rental?
I can't recommend any, but there's a long-standing "SMS provider on this forum [no longer active here]" that gives you the option to rent virtual numbers for a month.
Note: I prefer not to vouch (DYOR before trying their services)!

How often do audible send out their sms?
Audible in the audio book company.
I'm not sure exactly, but it appears that you can remove your number from the "Login & Security" page of your audible account.
144  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 🟦BitChanger - The best place to exchange Crypto on: January 30, 2024, 04:59:38 PM
At BitChanger, we have combined the latest technology
~Snipped~
BitChanger is the most reliable and fastest way to exchange 50+ cryptocurrency assets.
Your so-called reliable platform that's using the latest technology appears to be broken because no matter what pair is selected, the minimum amount will always be 2599.8 [that's a ridiculous amount (especially for Bitcoin)]:

145  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Testnet faucet abuser with 4 accounts on: January 30, 2024, 02:28:47 PM
My anti abuse measures include lowering the testnet amount for users with low Activity and for requesting more than once.
But this only mitigates the problem, as opposed to solving it... From what I'm seeing, everybody who posts on your thread is automatically given a certain amount of testnet coins, so all you need to do is remove the automated part from the equation and manually check everything.

I don't know what the point of them draining the Testnet Bitcoin faucet is.
and can't also be traded.
Unfortunately, there's a platform that provides unethical services for those who'd like to get something for their testnet coins [as much as I hate to say this, I think we need another reset].
146  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Translation] Bakit kailangan gamitin ng mamamayan ang SegWit addresses on: January 29, 2024, 02:09:12 PM
@Peanutswar

147  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER: user ALIMWENZA on: January 28, 2024, 08:17:24 PM
Thank you for taking the time to record the whole conversation for us [everything checked out]... I'll be leaving a negative rating shortly on all of his/her accounts, but you can go a step further by creating a type 2/3 flag on his/her accounts:

  • You might want to create a type 2 or 3 flags [also known as the scammer flag (read "Trust flags")] on those two accounts [with enough support (+3), it'll be activated and the scammer in question would get a "red warning" on top of all of his/her threads while also getting another "warning" on his/her account]!

    • Steps: Go to their trust summary page > Scroll down to find the "add a flag" button [it's located at the end of the negative feedback description] > Choose the appropriate type, then proceed to the next step [the rest is self-explanatory].
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hey Gamblers, Here's Some Questions for you. Would Love your Responses on them on: January 27, 2024, 10:11:50 PM
1. What's the most effective method for discovering a new online casino when you're seeking a change from your usual options?
If I'm looking for a cryptocurrency-related online casino, this forum would be the best route and it also helps with seeing what our community thinks about every single one of them.
- Having said that, I wouldn't stop there and I'd advise always reading their whole TOS page (apart from cross-checking whatever they state on their platform)!

2. How would you describe your overall satisfaction with any of the mentioned options?
Neutral

3. Would you recommend a beginner to follow a similar approach based on your personal experiences?
Yes, it's a good starting point...

4. In your opinion, should online casinos adopt corporate social responsibility practices? If yes, what specific initiatives would you like to see them undertake? If no, what is your reasoning behind it?
Yes... An automatic way of identifying problematic players and something that helps them understand the boundaries.
149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Trezor users are receiving fake emails with phishing links. on: January 27, 2024, 05:57:05 PM
If that's true, that's worrisome. Seriously, how can that happen? How can an unauthorized entity enter their database more than once in a row?
Because of the way they've replied on Twitter, I was also under the impression that their database was compromised, but based on "this blog post", it appears to be only the third-party service [few users on Reddit were pointing to Sendinblue (also known as Brevo)] that they were using for their newsletters.
150  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ex7.io: Innovative Exchange Platform for Anonymous Cryptocurrency Transactions on: January 26, 2024, 03:56:36 PM
barry24.com is an older domain (658 days old). Maybe his paid reviews were borrowed to ex7.io
You're right... It appears to be mirroring or rather copying some of the reviews from the other platform that you mentioned, but even the older domain has a "comment" before its creation date.
- I'm starting to think the website in question might be a rip-off of some sort (both of their "FAQ for affiliates [#1 and #2]" pages were copied from "here")].

Great catch, by the way Wink
151  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER: user ALIMWENZA on: January 26, 2024, 02:41:23 PM
And what seeking donations means?
Organic seek donations is the name of ALIMWENZA's alt account.

Anyways, this proof will only let us tag these two accounts
There's one more throwaway account [refer to post #3].

A video recording of those screenshots [although welcome] seems a bit excessive.
Not the screenshots [SS can easily be manipulated], but the actual conversations between the involved users... Although it might appear to be a bit excessive at first, such recordings [blckhawk's suggestion] are probably the best route for providing concrete proof.

@indexhtml
You can use OBS to record the conversation and upload the video to a website like Streamable.
152  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Keystone 3 HW coming soon! on: January 26, 2024, 01:38:31 PM
Why does Keystone 3 only have Bitcoin firmware?
AFAIK, despite their plans to bring it to the market in "September of last year", they still haven't released Keystone 3 and the Pro variant only comes with a "multi-coin firmware".
- Am I missing something here?
153  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB Bitcoin on Lightning on: January 25, 2024, 10:08:11 PM
If there is an exchange out there please let me know or can do bank transfer (UK)
You can find a few of them on the following "lightning network stores directory" but considering I've never tried any of them, I can't vouch for them [kindly DYOR before trying any of them]!
- You might see some outdated results, but it's a good starting point.
154  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 🍁 Jambler.io - Create your own BTC business / Become an Investor 💲 on: January 25, 2024, 05:52:34 PM
@Jay Johanson
Does the blockchain analysis part that's included in the scoring system, solely use the automated analysis tools that some of the exchanges also use for flagging stuff, or there's also someone who goes through each one of the addresses and transactions to look for errors?
- The reason why I'm asking this is that I've tried a few of these automated tools in the past and on a few occasions it led to a false-positive result!

Update:
I'll try to find out what I can.  Wink
Thank you Smiley

Update 2:
SFR10, Whenever possible, we try to automate all work processes.
Thank You for the information Smiley
155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Trezor users are receiving fake emails with phishing links. on: January 25, 2024, 01:23:58 PM
If Trezor allows you to change your email address, and if yours was pwned, changing that email address to a new one is helpful.
This would only come in handy if you're going to completely ditch the affected email address.

Reading some comments here, it seems that the news stating that the breach only gained access to their support ticket database is wrong. Some users who got the phishing email aren't even Trezor users. They didn't contact Trezor support either.
It appears to be two separate incidents in the space of a week... The first one was for their ticketing system and the latest one is for their "newsletter subscribers".
156  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER: user ALIMWENZA on: January 24, 2024, 05:23:35 PM
There's another one who tried covering the tracks by editing his/her post: braceletspatriot [proof]

private convo messages i had with him
Considering that your account is still quite new in this forum, most of us probably wouldn't tag their accounts without concrete proof [I believe everything took place in Telegram, so you might want to export the chat history and upload it to a website like MediaFire instead].
- BTW, sorry to hear or rather read about the incident in question.
157  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Suite now supports coin control on: January 24, 2024, 03:52:43 PM
it has introduced relevant new ( to most all HW) feature, namely "wipe code" which is PIN-alike, but instead of allowing the entering data area entirely erases it.
It's a good thing they finally decided to introduce a new method to wipe Trezor devices through Trezor Suite [the "previous method" wasn't that user-friendly and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who completely forgot Trezor already introduced such a feature in the past].
- Out of curiosity, does anybody know why it took them this long to add it to the Trezor Suite?
158  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Unofficial Gcash Thread/ Discussion on: January 24, 2024, 12:10:06 PM

  • Requirements to file a claim for Send Money Protect
You will need to file a police report within 24 hours of the discovery of the fraud
You will need to notify GCash within 24 hours of the discovery of fraud to stop further fraudulent activities or suspend your account in the event of an account takeover fraud. Click here to file a report
You must make reasonable attempts to recover the funds back
You must retain documentary evidence of the fraud
You must notify Chubb as soon as possible by calling the hotline +63277565410, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, excluding public holidays

Documents needed to file a claim for Send Money Protect
Copy of the original police report(s)
Statement detailing the discovery of the fraud or unauthorized transaction(s) from your GCash Account.
Documentary proof that the Express Send Money transaction was made:
Screenshot of the GCash transaction receipt with reference no.
    GCash transaction activity history in-app
Copy of any chat communication, SMS, call logs, email, fraudulent website, or other method of digital communication that led to the Express Send money transaction(s) or request for fund(s)
Copy of any chat communication, SMS, call logs, email, fraudulent website, or other method of digital communication showing reasonable attempts to recover the funds back from the third party.
Any additional supporting documents proving that you are a victim of fraud

imagine 30 pesos per sending
Mali ka kabayan... For a whole month ang sinisingil nilang ₱30 [good for protecting up to ₱15k].
159  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor's 3rd-Party Support Portal was Hacked on: January 24, 2024, 09:43:56 AM
I don't see any good reason to contact trezor support, unless there was a lost package, device stopped working or something similar.
Apart from lost packages, I'd go with creating a thread on their forum instead.

To my knowledge Trezor only holds onto customer ordering info for up to 30 or 90 days I can't remember which.
It's 90 days but they "only anonymize it", as opposed to deleting it [I got mixed feelings about it]!
- It's worth noting that the issue we're facing at the moment is about their customer support data (the above data that you were referring to wasn't affected).
160  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ex7.io: Innovative Exchange Platform for Anonymous Cryptocurrency Transactions on: January 23, 2024, 04:11:44 PM
I don't understand what kind of fake reviews we are talking about. Customers leave feedback, we have no other option.
Try to cross-check the registration date on the Whois result page with the date of the comments I highlighted in my last post to better understand the issue in question.

The "lock topic" button that you were looking for is in the bottom left corner of the page.
