161  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Chinese Bitcoin Mining Company Delivers First Machines to Kazakhstan on: June 28, 2021, 07:06:30 AM
Not good! We wouldn't want Chinese miners to enter the bitcoin market again. No matter the location, the miners will be under Chinese control which is not really desirable.
From what I've read in the past few days, most of them have partnered with other companies; In other words, their influence/control over those mining operations is somehow limited.
- I don't think it's fair to generalize them... I'm sure there's a big difference between them and their government.

who knows what's going be happen in Kazakhstan during the next years? how stable is the government? maybe after one year Kazakhstan ban bitcoin mining too.
Those are the type of risks that they have to "always" deal with it [regardless of the location].

Besides Kazakhstan, BIT Mining also makes Texas a mining destination.  In that state of the United States, BIT Mining invested 25 million United States (US) dollars or around Rp. 361 billion to open a new mining center.
IMO, Texas isn't a suitable location; AFAIK, they have their own issues when it comes to power outages.
162  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Newbie from spain. Can you help me? on: June 28, 2021, 05:41:36 AM
I have my new air conditioning with 4.5Kw of power (i suppose this is enough to cold the ASICS),
Based on the following things, you may need a few fans to keep their temps down or within a normal range:

  • Size of your mining room matters.
  • Location of your mining rigs in relation to the air conditioner in question.
  • The manner in which your mining rigs are placed next to each other.

There's a whole thread about it here
Wow Shocked
163  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cruise Ship holidays for less (Bitcoin, crypto or USD) on: June 28, 2021, 04:31:50 AM
100usd (or crypto equivelant) every month
I read about the part that said in return, we'll be receiving $200 and we could use that for booking cruises on your platform, but I don't think that's feasible in the long run [unless I'm missing something].

Get paid to Cruise!
Can you explain more in regards to that?
164  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this a punishable offence? on: June 27, 2021, 05:33:46 PM
I was never aware of the scam issues of 1×bit from the start which occurred many years ago. Some persons used the avenue to red trust me just because I participated in it which is unfair.
I assume you already know some of those issues but for some reason, you're still wearing their signature; Care to explain why?

Thanks, I usually give them about a week before I leave any negative feedback so that there's no excuse. Nobody who's advertising the scam casino is going to be left out.

TL;DR: Forum rules and community standards are two separate things and are sometimes in conflict with one another.  That's just the way it is on bitcointalk.
Exactly! @Desmong refer to #4 from the following list [a bit outdated]: Things not against forum rules but frowned upon by community!
165  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAmWATCH]; Fake Trading signals on: June 27, 2021, 04:31:58 PM
It looks like you forgot to archive it so "here it is" and while I was browsing it, it felt like I've already read some of its parts before; So I did some more digging, and here are some of the other fake platforms that use similar words:

All of the following websites should be considered as fake/scam:
- In other words, Cryptobold is nothing but a rip-off.

166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Always use ip address from El Salvador to shop online on: June 27, 2021, 03:09:40 PM
This only makes sense if a lot of online stores have BTCitcoin as one of their payment methods, but that's not the case [unfortunately] and even then, we can achieve similar results ["pumping BTCitcoin"] without using a Salvadoran‎ IP.
- I read all of your posts in this thread and I do agree with what @avikz said; It's going to be more beneficial to El Salvador than it'll be for BTCitcoin.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey vs Elon Musk(meme Master) on: June 27, 2021, 01:16:51 PM
and now Musk had accepted the invitation
Not sure if I'm missing something [I've double-checked everything], but I went through all of the tweets and in none of them I saw any sign that Musk has accepted the invitation...
- Personally, I can't see him [EM] and someone that knows more than him [in regards to BTCitcoin], sitting next to each other in "any" event and having conversations about BTCitcoin [it's a risky move for that freaking clown].

You probably missed it. Tongue

I don't see it happening as anything next to impossible though. Though I doubt it, take note that it probably doesn't necessarily mean that the "talk" will be livestreamed in the first place. It's a conference though, so it probably will be.
You're right Cheesy Thank you for posting it [I really hate how Twitter works] Cheesy
168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Summer dip?!, December price outcome? ---> JOIN and guess the price GO! on: June 27, 2021, 08:16:34 AM
I'm mentioning all users with at least 250 earned Merit (data from last week) so if they use a bot for it, they'll receive a notification about this topic:
Thank you for doing that Smiley

$84,400 [box 259]
- Initially, I came up with $84,482.34 but box 260 was already taken by @LFC_Bitcoin, so I went with the closest one.

  • I based everything on 2013/2017 BTCitcoin's value [specifically the first day in June and December], then calculated the downtrend growth in those periods.

    • Jun,1,2013 = $89.53
      Dec,1,2013 = $732
      732/89.53 = 8.17 growth

      Jun,1,2017 = $2,465.49
      Dec,1,2017 = $13,880
      13,880/2,465.49 = 5.62 growth

      Jun,1,2021 = $33,130.33
      Dec,7,2021 = ?
      Growth = ?
      • 8.17 [2013] - 5.62 [2017] = 2.55 [possible growth in 2021 (Jun - Dec)]
        33,130.33 x 2.55 = $84,482.34 [Dec,7,2021]
I doubt mangyayari yun [at least for now]... Tulad nung sinabi ni @sir_danny [kind of], mas malaki ang chance na gumawa sila ng sarili nilang CBDC kaysa gawin legal tender ang BTCitcoin and since may mga banks na hindi na tumatangap ng crypto TXs [like BPI], then maliit ang chance nito [indirectly related].

or kailangan bang most problem occurs for Bitcoin get solved first  before adopting it?
To some extent, yes.

and that’s why maraming businesses ang hesitant pa sa pag tanggap nito kase baka malugi lang sila especially nasa bear trend tayo.
If online businesses ang pinag-uusapan, then may ilan gateways/processors na may auto-conversions.
170  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-06-25] El Salvador Will Airdrop 30$ Worth Bitcoin to Its Citizens on: June 26, 2021, 08:14:29 AM

The poverty rate is very high there. Half of the population is poor. So you can be sure they will use the $30 given. They can eat probably during 1 or 2 week with that. Who, being poor, would refuse free money?
You have a point but if that's indeed the case and they're that poor, then perhaps "some of them" have problems when it comes to owning a cellphone as well.
- A big portion of their adult population might never be able to utilize this airdrop [unfortunately].

anyway can other country signup for this airdrop  Grin Grin Grin.
They can't; Check the following video:

- Here's the "video".
171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BlenderWallet phishing attempt? on: June 26, 2021, 07:00:57 AM
Some Newbies on Bitcointalk claimed the same. The accounts were only created to post this, which is what many scammers do to promote their scam.
Judging by its timing ["after what I said"], it does look like what you mentioned.

How do they even know 100 BTC was stolen?
They probably made that up and it's a perfect case wherein none of the affected users [if there are any] are going to disclose such information and they'd probably do the same as well [nature of their service].

None of their recent announcements makes much sense and I see the following things as possibilities:

  • A marketing strategy to create some buzz and increase their reputation.
  • It was never a "non-custodial service".
  • Somehow it really got hacked.

Personally, I'm leaning towards the first two being the case, but I could be wrong.
172  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: - The Best Free Bitcoin Tools 🚀❤️🚀 on: June 26, 2021, 04:43:57 AM
Did somebody already used his re-broadcast feature and did really worked?
Just did and it keeps giving the following message ["Transaction has already been confirmed"], even though it hasn't received any confirmations yet [it doesn't work properly]...
- I tested two newly published transactions and they both led to the exact message.

aside from the known viabtc as the accelerator, I also rebroadcast the tx if the fee's very low through's pushtx and viabtc's is currently full.
There's no point in doing the part I've highlighted:

I'll try to explain this without using technical terms:

Rebroadcasting services are more like a reminder but accelerating services, on the other hand, are more like the bouncer/bodyguard friend that you have at a certain club that helps you skip the line but that doesn't mean someone is going to buy you a drink as soon as you step in the club [you still have to wait for someone to do that for you, assuming you're a lady in this example].
173  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Whitelist / Additional text label. on: June 26, 2021, 04:09:57 AM
When hitting 69 posts, text should be replaced with "nice" so we get a dozen more threads in meta about "what happened to my post count!?"
Not sure if you're being serious or not.

Also, yall should whitelist long signatures that are advertising the forum discord [so newbies and other members] can freely advertise a freely available server.
You don't need long signatures for advertising anything; You can achieve that with shorter ones as well [apart from Newbies that don't have signature fields on their profiles].
174  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-06-23 Forbes - Say Goodbye To Bitcoin And Say Hello To The Digital Dollar on: June 25, 2021, 05:22:00 PM
I really hate how they ended that article Angry
- Seriously? I wonder what they see when they look in the mirror?

Add to that, even after gaining traction, the private crypto market continues to be used primarily as a tool of corruption and speculation.

I'm curious how many will "invest" into digital dollar LOL
And I'm curious to know if there's any reason for using that so-called digital dollar?
- FYI, I'm not even comparing it with other cryptocurrencies; Personally, I don't see any differences to other traditional methods [some with a workaround]: e.g. Funds on my bank account [I can still transfer them to someone or pay for stuff].
175  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Atlas.Market - Cryptocurrency Marketplace using Wishlists on: June 25, 2021, 03:35:42 PM
Since they (“purchaser”) receive their payment in the form of Amazon Gift Card balance they are able to convert it into cryptocurrencies by buying goods at Amazon for other ("customers").
I think there's been a mistake with regards to the part I've highlighted; From what "I've read", the purchaser in question, is going to directly receive cryptocurrency and not "Amazon Gift Card balance".

How deposited funds are being kept on your platform [I'm referring to its safety]?
176  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-06-25] El Salvador Will Airdrop 30$ Worth Bitcoin to Its Citizens on: June 25, 2021, 10:08:36 AM
At present, the adult population of Salvadorians is around 6 million. Therefore, if the government were to airdrop $30 to each of them, they must have invested around $190m to execute this.
Due to the following reasons, I don't think they'll be investing that much:

  • The estimated adult population that's been circulating lately is inaccurate [from what I've seen, it's closer to 4.5 - 4.7 million instead].

Assuming all 4.5m adults in El Salvador take up this offer, it’s roughly a 2.5% overnight boost to #bitcoin’s global user count.
  • Not all of them will use BTCitcoin while the rest of BTCitcoin users might opt for other known wallets instead of "Chivo e-wallet", especially those that hate going through some sort of KYC process [e.g. Facial recognition].
    - Here's the "video".
177  Economy / Goods / Re: Some Sell Products to BTC/USDT on: June 25, 2021, 08:15:39 AM
You might want to post an "original" image for that design [and the other two], together with your forum name and the date on a piece of paper: Follow this
- It appears that you've "taken that image from the internet" and it's a popular one.
178  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I am concenred about Binance reliability on: June 25, 2021, 05:47:22 AM
What If I lose all money?
In addition to mk4's comment, you can literally lose everything [I'm not just referring to the storage problems] that you have in "any other" reliable platform out there [depending on how you use those funds].

Why would I put my money on ex Mcdonalds worker.
Try to look at him as a half-full glass that keeps on receiving drops of water...
- You should see his past as a positive sign [he kept improving his life and this would not have happened if he had an unreliable platform].
179  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] - Bitcoin Knowledgebase on: June 24, 2021, 04:41:23 PM
We added a new dark mode a while back, check it out and leave your feedback about it here. It even auto-activates itself during night hours. Smiley
I believe this is the first time that I've experienced an "automated" night mode [nice touch], but I did find two minor issues [sorry for nitpicking Grin]: Video link

  • When your website is fully loaded, the cookie disclaimer banner completely overlaps the dark/light mode button.
    - It'd be better if that button was moved to the header area instead.
  • While using the dark mode, switching between pages leads to a temporary light mode [more like a quick flash].
180  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger fake device Warning! on: June 24, 2021, 01:42:04 PM
Probably USB implants can also be smaller. And if needed other parts may get removed to basically keep only the USB functionality. I feel like the "design flaw" is not that big.
Even if their design was better, it's hard to prevent this attacks from happening, I could 3d print ledger case and make my own fake version with some cheap flash drive and send it to many victims of their database leak(s).
Thank you guys for the inputs, it appears that somehow I forgot to consider those things.

I've never noticed my Nano S running hot, so I don't know if temperature was such a concern.
Perhaps I should've been clearer [sorry] but I wasn't reporting any issues with the temps [I thought it might have something to do with the additional/unused small space on the device in question].

or add some self destruction mechanism that would destroy the device if someone opens it,
That'll be a cool feature and there are already a few hardware wallets out there that either came with that feature or later got it [to an extent] as part of an update.

You can get chips which are small enough to hide inside a USB cable, and turn the cable itself in to malicious device.
For real? Shocked
- Just did some digging and the only one that I could find with some explanations was "this" one but even then, there are still conflicting parts.
