Not one bit. I'm even happy about that. "Normal" moneys or bitcoin, there is no difference. The result is the same. So I might as well be happy about bigger money-flow.
22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LOG: Trading-volume Ratio of top Exchanges on: July 01, 2011, 07:07:33 AM
MtGox 72%
Tradehill 18%
Bitcoin7 10%[/color]

This is encouraging.
Not really. Look at the volumes.

Someone needs to hack and clean out tradehill or they will never shut up...

25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Full Disclosure Poll on: June 21, 2011, 01:47:19 PM
It's so much fun!
Every poll I saw clearly shows that majority is in favor of roll back, but those against it shout louder...

If you haven't noticed all cards are 5770... Which you can get dirt cheap. Smart investment.
27  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: SOLUTION: Right now, stop mining on deepbit and pick a new pool. on: June 08, 2011, 04:12:36 PM
Just DDoS it...

People here add their bitcoin wallet addresses for this reason.
Feel free if you want to. This board was set up to help and share knowledge.
30  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I will donate to you, for your help. on: May 18, 2011, 05:38:32 PM
Edit your bitcoin.conf
Edit these lines
Code:
server=1
rpcport=8332
rpcuser={username here. Any username}
rpcpassword={password here}
rpcallowip= ip of the mining rig. Add this line for every minig rig in your net.
And then connect every mining client to the server with the same username and password. Just tried this on my machine with CPU and GPU miner and it worked.
so basically if your bitcoin client is on machine with ip-adress 172.1.2.0 and your mining machines have IPs 172.1.2.1 - 172.1.2.10 your bitcoin.conf should look something like this
Code:
server=1
rpcport=8332
rpcuser=slave
rpcpassword=ibowtomymaster
rpcallowip=172.1.2.1
rpcallowip=172.1.2.2
rpcallowip=172.1.2.3
rpcallowip=172.1.2.4
rpcallowip=172.1.2.5
rpcallowip=172.1.2.6
rpcallowip=172.1.2.7
rpcallowip=172.1.2.8
rpcallowip=172.1.2.9
rpcallowip=172.1.2.10

Better ask your questions here. It will be good to have noob-thread here.
32  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: You are threatening Bitcoin’s security on: May 18, 2011, 03:42:38 PM
Deepbit is not evil.
It just has too much power and users.
Imagine what will happen if(when) deepbit suddenly crashes(hardware failure, police raid, zombie attack). Whining and frustration all over the board. Sudden migration of deepbit users. Other pools can't handle it and crash too. At least some of them. Hashrate falls dramatically and the network is vulnerable. Remember what happened to Mtgox? And it was just a little shake.
What will happen if someone hacks the pool server and uses it to... use your imagination.
Every event on mtgox causes price fluctuations. Do you really want to have another vulnerability?
33  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: You are threatening Bitcoin’s security on: May 18, 2011, 02:35:13 PM
Just DDoS it when it reaches 45% of the network's hashing speed. Loic is always ready.
34  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: HD5850 @ 340Mhash/s on: May 18, 2011, 10:19:51 AM
Got myself Sapphire 5850 Extreme. Used money from mining on my old 8800GTX. I wanted 5870, but all reasonably priced ones were out of stock and I was lucky to get my hands on this one because they are mostly out of stock too. Or too pricey.
OCed, overvolted. Now around 970 MHz core, 300 mem, 1,25V(thank you Sapphire for new version of Trixx). At first I was getting only around 300 Mhashes/s with guiminer so I tried phoenix. pocblm core gave me around 350 Mhashes, phatk jumped between 377 and 406. But it is kind of unstable. Once I run my IM client(qip, Infium and 2005), Chrome or Flash video in firefox speed drops to 350 Mhashes. If I try to play a video system freezes. Sometimes system froze for no apparent reason, judging from the fact that freezes stopped after I stopped runing IM client there was some connection. I doesn't seem that OC is the problem. I left my PC alone for the night and it didn't crash.
Now running guiminer with -v which increased speed but now it hangs the system too when I try to open the video.
OS - Win7x64, Driver - 11.5 with SDK 2.4, Browser - Firefox with HW acceleration turned off. The bios on the videocard is untouched.

Short observation. Vectors make my system unstable.
