1  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban on: October 15, 2018, 06:22:42 PM
How about this man https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2436667

He posted 2 thread in the lending section with the same content do we still consider it as plagiarism?
It seems that his account just made for spamming purposes.

2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitmex on: October 15, 2018, 04:47:12 PM
Hi! Does anybody know how do I put the charts of Bitmex into Tradingview? Charting in Bitmex is really different from any other exchange.
Thank you.
What trading view you are looking for? You can find the trading view button from the left side of "undo buttons" from the chart.

Look at this image below.

You can also use the Full-screen button on the right side of the exit (x) button from the chart.
3  Other / Meta / Re: How to report post burster? on: October 15, 2018, 02:59:02 PM
I think you can report them to DT members to tag him with negative trust like "cheater" or you can report it to signature campaign manager with proof. So that they can remove him from the campaign.

Since LeGaulois mention the "report button" there is a guide that you can follow "How to report a post effectively" from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4519248.0
4  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Newbie can't start/find/run Electrum Wallet. on: October 15, 2018, 02:41:50 PM
When I look on the C drive I can't find it in the programs folder. I did find the .exe though. And also a text document which came up when I searched for "electrum".

You should really search the entire disk, not only program files.

If you downloaded the portable version you may have run it directly from your downloads folder.
Or there are Internet Security packages that may sandbox the wallet and you may find the files in places like C:\VTRoot\HarddiskVolume1\Program Files\... and similar.

I really hope that you at least got Electrum from the official website.
Have you tried reading the whole thread?

Please read this quoted below.

Problem solved.

Just run the exe and put in the password. Couldn't be any easier.

Now to see if I can find if I have any free BCC. I see there were some recent threads with newbies talking about this so I'll have myself a read.

This issue has been solved a year ago. Take a look at the date you quoted
I hope next time read the whole thread first before you post.
5  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Dead T9+ Board (Burnt Inductor chip) on: October 12, 2018, 10:58:49 PM
You need to remove the burned choke/inductor first and check the 2 terminal if shorted or not using multi-tester.
To remove the choke/inductor you must have a hot air rework station. If in case it shorted there are another broken or damaged parts that may cause to inductor/choke become burned.

Do you have DC Digital Power Supply? Because you can use it for tracing if which part from the hashing board is causing the burned inductor/choke.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 5 Predictions of The Future Bitcoin Price on: October 12, 2018, 09:37:50 PM
I wonder if these predictions will come true for short periods later this year...

we are in October and the price is $ 6300, and these guys talk about prices of:

$100.000 = impossible for this year
$50,000 = impossible for this year
$20,000 = impossible for this year
25,000$ = impossible for this year

PS: do not believe in these guys

This prediction is honestly impossible to happen this year and the price movement this year looks the same as 2013-2014.
So, no big bullish will happen this year and I think the price movement of bitcoin these coming months is the same as in 2014. So my guess in the coming months that the price of bitcoin is likely to be stable around $6k to $7k.

This is just my own prediction and I'm just basing it on the previous bitcoin movement(2013-2014).
7  Other / Meta / Re: New House New Ip Address on: October 12, 2018, 07:12:09 PM
There are no rules to use proxies or use any IP, but if you use a well-known IP or VPN with IP banned and you are planning to make a new account here on the forum you can't use the account.

Read this quoted below.

Q: Why is my IP banned? What are those units of evil?
A: Your IP might be banned because it was used by a user that got perma banned. Don't worry - IP bans decay over time if there's not too many of them during a small period. If you register using a banned IP, are using TOR, VPNs or well known proxies, you will have to pay a small fee. This is to prevent spammers while allowing legitimate members to post without many restrictions.

To prevent your account from being ban you must read our forum rules from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

If you can follow the rules correctly your account is safe.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First time mining cryptonote, Help on Baikal N70 setup appreciated. on: October 12, 2018, 05:59:39 PM
Shorted the power button wire with a piece of a mouse trap, didn't have a paper clip laying around. Found it on the network with advanced IP scanner but can't seem to get the IP to load. It's deemed unresponsive when I try to ping it.

https://i.imgur.com/GSfmvWB.jpg
Try to replace the Ethernet cable and make sure the ethernet socket is clean and the cable is fixed then restart the unit after that scan the IP again then access the dashboard via browser, make sure that you are accessing the correct IP because if you are accessing the wrong IP it takes too long to load and it won't work.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Walkthrough Suggestions: Easiest Way To Buy Ethereum on: October 12, 2018, 05:00:19 PM
We're working on a chatbot that provides a walkthrough of how to create a MEW wallet, download Metamask, and other essentials so that anyone can use our airdrops platform.

Of course, you can't collect airdrops with an empty wallet.

Recommending MEW and Metamask seem like no-brainers.

What should we recommend to absolute beginners when it comes purchasing Eth?

Coinbase seems like the safest choice, but the need for bank numbers or a photo ID could dissuade someone who has never received a token before.

On the other hand, nearly everything out there is a scam.

What method/exchange/company would you suggest to make the ethereum buying process as easy as possible while minimizing the risk of scams?

It seems all exchange sites requires KYC verification and AML procedures before you can buy cryptocurrency like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
However, if you still want to buy ETH you can try to check on localbitcoins you are lucky if you find traders in your area where you can buy ethereum without KYC and AML procedures.

Of course, you can't collect airdrops with an empty wallet.
Since when was this true? Isn't the main point of 'airdrops' is that you give the tokens for free in exchange for some Facebook likes and such?

I never heard that you need a balance before being able to receive "airdrops". In my experienced, I received airdrops without balance but you can't send it without a balance because you have to pay the transaction fee to transfer your token to other wallet or exchange site.

11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: coinhouse.eu / any new info? on: October 11, 2018, 11:56:23 PM
I couldn't access the site and trying to search it from google about this term "Coinhouse.eu" but the result is "https://conhouse.eu/" on the top of the google.

Let me ask what is your issue about this site?

Edit: I found this site from here https://web.archive.org/web/20180628140351/https://coinhouse.eu/
It looks like it is not a well-known exchange site and I couldn't access the live version of the website.

I suggest you don't use untrusted exchange or not well-known sites because there is a huge possibility that you can be scammed.

It's possible if you are actively contributing to the forum and actively posting a helpful response but there are many newbies here in the forum that they want to get merit and rankup to get higher bounty rewards.

13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin get to $10,000 this year again? on: October 11, 2018, 03:02:41 PM
Are you guys still predicting that the price will recover back to $10k? Look at the market, it's obvious that it's impossible to hit the $10k value again or even $9k because there are many groups of whales who can control the price movement like what happened today.

However, there is a possibility that this will happen next year or after "blockhalving".

What I see on the market these days had little difference compared to the old price movement, but they still have similarities.

Take a look at this image below

So, I think there is a big possibility that the 2014 price movement it might happen again these coming months.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Not successful trading. Lost $2k on: October 10, 2018, 11:31:00 PM
For me, it is not a good practice to give other traders to access and manage your account via API. To the fact that any time they could run the funds without notifying you, it is most of the cases that I heard so be careful.

I think no matter what the condition looks like it's still not safe to give other people to access your account because it may risk your funds.

There's no tool that you can check whether he is telling the truth about his profit history or not. However, if he can give you access to his trading account you will know if he is telling the truth.

Just a little advice it is safe if you trade with your own knowledge than using other services that you don't know what will happen to your investment and think that we are dealing online so there is a high possibility that you can be scammed.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy low, sell high on: October 10, 2018, 10:27:03 PM
Well, I think this strategy still works, buying low and sell at the higher price. However, there are some people did mistakes on selling bitcoin because they're sold the bitcoin at the wrong time. Like what happened to the other traders who bought BTC when the price is higher than 10k that I think they are still suffering from it.

They should learn from mistakes because bitcoin is not stable as usdt or USD and they should know the price history of bitcoin before they invest or buying bitcoin.

So if they could learn from the mistakes they make and they know the bitcoin price history they can easily think first before buying or selling it at the low price. Some traders and holders are following the old price movement because 2014 and 2018 has similar movement, if you can follow this, you will know what will be the next price of bitcoin this coming weeks or months.
16  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Dead T9+ Board (Burnt Inductor chip) on: October 10, 2018, 09:00:35 PM
I have the same problem with several T9+ the chip is a 1R5 1750 and i cannot seem to find a replacement.

does any one happen to know where to get one or several of these?

Thanks

I don't find any website from google who offering for hashboard replacement.

The only thing comes to my mind is to send it back to the manufacturer for warranty or you can try to check this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0 and look for hashboard sellers or buy 2nd hand/broken t9 that you can use for parts replacement.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why BTC will always remain king on: October 09, 2018, 11:53:22 PM
There is no other reason why Bitcoin still remain as a king of crypto because the reason is obvious. BTC is the first cryptocurrency and BTC and core developers are real developers who adopting BTC.

Unlike other cryptos that most of them have fake devs or the devs have no plan to adopt their project. They start building a project and promoting it here on the forum.

As soon as the ICO project sold they will publish and pretending that they are always developing the project, but the truth is not. So, this is just my own theory why Bitcoin still remain in its position.

However, there are still real developers who adopting their project look at the top 10 altcoins in CMC these coins have a solid developer with investors supports who remain as top 10 alternatives in CMC. They can't get the BTC position because BTC is mostly used for many companies as payment mode and you can't buy altcoin if you don't have a bitcoin. Did you notice if BTC drops the other altcoin also drop?
18  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 Hard Reboot on: October 09, 2018, 06:41:24 PM
You can try this method from here On-board auto reboot with Antminer S9 (daily reboots) At least you can do the hard reboot automatically and schedule what time you want to reboot it.

For now, I don't find any methods that you can fully reboot remotely your miner, the above link maybe solved your issue.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I think i bought bitcoin in the early days need help! on: October 08, 2018, 07:56:56 PM
The only website that I know you purchased a "dragon balls z" before is g2a.com so maybe this is the site you are looking for. Also, don't forget about "steam" they are also selling this game, but the problem right now they're no longer support Bitcoin as a payment method so I don't think you can ask for a refund from them since they no longer support Bitcoin.

Anyway, you can try contacting them and ask for a refund, but make sure that you can provide a proof that you purchased "dragon balls z" like transaction ID.
20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Credit Card supporting Bitcoin on: October 08, 2018, 07:09:34 PM
There is another list of Debit/Credit card that supports Bitcoin. Since OmegaStarScream posted the old list but not updated I would like to share the other list which is updated so that you can find which provider is trusted and working these days.
