as a westerner (aussie) who mainly trades on chinese exchanges (due to liquidity), i really don't see anything in the way of suspiciously fake trading volume.
funnily enough i do see some suspect stuff on a few smaller exchanges that i won't mention.
some however argue that the large chinese exchanges are fake volume because with ones without trading fees its the same coins going back and forth, which is kinda odd to label fake volume, as this is the same practice that makes up most the volume on stock exchanges world wide.

i've been screaming this for years.
well deep down, we all know most the 'innovation' in this community is 'innovation' for innovation's sake simply to market (pump) a crypto.
tbh some may have the best intentions with their innovation, however, its for in reality 0.00001% of real world users at the expense of making it too complicated for the rest.
so summary of potential pages i could write on this; show me simplification and that's the real innovation i'll sit up and listen too.

well of course everyone can take part thats how the few will make their fortune off the 98% of the future bagholders  Why don't people ride the trend instead of staying in the side lines? I see a lot of people whining instead of taking advantage of an opportunity to earn some profit trading the trend. not all of us are here for profits, i stay away from premine types whether or not profits can be made from them. And yet some most are bagholding the wrong coin/s and call the ones they don't hold scams. i think you miss the whole point of crypto, its not about making profit, whats the point of being an alternative to the greedy bankers if we ourselves become the greedy banker types (and thats happening alot in crypto). i hold coins i support, if they don't fit a criteria i support, i don't hold them. i don't classify whether its right/wrong coin via its price in fiat, i've been in crypto many years now, i simply don't exchange crypto for fiat. |

I invested in NEM back at the creation, but have never claimed my share, and still have my secret token. How can I redeem my NEM?
You basically lost it as it expired close to one year ago. Surely there must be some way to redeem it and my amount is still sitting in the pool somewhere. When I invested originally I never saw it advertised as time-restricted or anything. You can check my name on the original list. There is no way to redeem it because none of those systems ar in place anymore. There was a portal setup for that. If we let 1 redeem we open the floodgates. Also I don't think anyone still has "the original list". I deleted all my copies of everything related to redemption with a huge smile on my face knowing that it was finally over. Sorry to say that, but that sounds like a awkward statement. In a 'normal' work environment, no one would delete works related files... You may archive files, but nobody would delete them. It simply doesn't exist. If I delete files of a superseded project, i'm pretty sure my boss would fire me straight away, with all the rights of the case. You always keep a copy somewhere, You will never know what's going to happen, not to mention the legal aspect of that Imagine if someone will suit you.. and you don't have files to prove that you may be right. You are simply screwed. But mostly, it sounds really unprofessional too. So, better to say that you don't want to do it. But please, never say that you cannot do that because you delete files. Please...   It's really an awful excuse.  The reason for the deletion is clear to me: Closure with no going back. I'm sure it was apparent to everyone that as soon as NEM got any semblence of value people like yourself would be coming to this thread. likely it was to hide the multi claims by individuals in the dev team. |

litecoin will do just fine, will always been one of the top cryptos (if not become the top crypto), because its one of a very rare club; honest coin not made purely for the devs to profit. also usability, which is pretty much why its my main reserve crypto. you lose track of the about of shitcoin pushers that announce litecoin is dead, done, or adds nothing simply to pump their own shitcoin. |

I agree people are often unfairly negative in these forums. Many teenage boys in crypto it seems. However I don't see evidence on the page 11 you mention of the existing coin being connected to this announcement. I see that the company and tech is involved, but not that the coin is. I'd love to find out that I'm misunderstanding the announcement. Am I? I don't think you are, these guys have been using the same BS connection to pump Xem for awhile, and I'm an Xem holder, but you get labelled a troll spreading FUD if you point out the obvious. sooner or later it'll leave alot of sorry bagholders imo |

NXT or NEM all the way.
while certainly fits into the title of 'dead coin' especially with it current issues, NEM's had its pump, be enough bagholders from it, and it almost the only coin on btc38 that in reversal, tis of no interest to the Chinese, surprised its even listed on btc38. There is lots of stuff going down in Japan with NEM, the Devs have been careful not to even pump up prices with hype, rather announcing news instead of promises! ETH seems more of a scam to me since the devs gathered millions of $ of BTC with what to show? Looks like they got pretty rich from it. lol 75% of the NEM thread is pumping type hype. |

according to that picture, it's the chinese that are pumping all these alts
it is the chinese who are pumping all these coins  not just chinese on chinese exchanges, these exchanges because of the vol (and often no trading fees) attract big traders from all nationalities. |

Find a new excuse for your selling your shit to other greater fools in a zero-sum game with no long-term potential actual innovation and adoption network effects. How butthurt are you? actually you're the one that comes across butthurt, look at your post history, why do you percieve that attacking litecoin will somehow help ETH in fact doing it all over the forum turns people off ethereum, starting to make it like another monero etc, no one wants to be in a coin full of toxic members attacking other coins. I've always hated litecoin. And if you go on the litecoin subreddit you will see immense FUD against ethereum. Litecoin has done nothing but hurt crypto since the day it was dreamt up. I remember that sinking feeling reading about it. It showed everyone you could create a cryptocurrency in one afternoon without any thought or innovation and idiots would buy it and the early birds would get rich. I can only imagine btc would be at $10,000 today if that bag of shit hadn't been invented. The only coins I've ever even wanted to own were Bitcoin (the first) and ethereum (by far the only coin thats really trying to push the boundaries of crypto) The rest are quite blatantly scams with no academic or social merit whatsoever. litecoin was dreamt up via analysing the mistakes cryptos made before it (ie main not being created so the dev could profit, which happen in everything before it) and avoiding them, and with that it did a great job and its why its been the most successful alt todate. and for that you should be happy helps lead the way for other alts to btc to be successful. your obsession seems to be more about price (ie in USD) then value. |
