1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Restoring wallet-help on: July 02, 2015, 02:25:50 AM
I found my seed and this time I believe everything was restored correctly. Before it was not showing the my full transaction history or the little bit of BTC remaining. Now its showing everything. I guess the seed was correct!

I need to know if I restored my wallet correctly.I formatted and All I had was my old receiving address and that's what i put in. Can you restore your wallet with just your receiving address? It shows my last transaction before the format.
3  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re-formatted and Re-installed Electrum- Encountering problems, made an error? on: July 02, 2015, 01:08:02 AM
Hi Guys,

I dont have a lot of experience with Electrum, as I had just started using it a short time before my re-format. So I just re-formatted my hdd re-installed windows and re-installed Electrum. In the beginning I was given two choices-create a new wallet or continue an old one. I wanted my old one. It was asking for a "seed" and other things but the only info I was able to get was my old Electrum bitcoin receiving address. So I entered that and hit next and it showed my last deposit of 10 dollars, unverified and then after a few minutes it showed them as verified. Currently the wallet is empty and it shows my receiving address as the same address I had before I formatted. So my question is, did I do everything correct to restore my old wallet? Is the "seed" the "address"? When It asked for info and all I had was my old receiving address, and I entered it, was that enough to restore my wallet?
