Some of the intermediary addresses could also be previously used addresses of normal people who got hacked. They could be the target of accusations if they are know and there is a connection between a used bitcoin address and their name. There are many possibilities...

6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Processing Power, where does it go? on: March 05, 2012, 03:30:08 PM
What a weird question ... the processing power goes into mining coins period.

The processing power doesn't go into mining coins. It goes intro protecting the block chain. That is the main reason for doing it. The 50 coins (or less in the future) is just a motivation to do so.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: scammed when selling bitcoins on ebay on: March 05, 2012, 03:23:52 PM
Neither ebay nor paypal are inherently evil. You can easily be fooled the same way on the street or in shops if you are unaware of what they are doing or working like.

Just look around to see how a company is acting and take that into consideration before acting. There are enough reports about ebay/paypal in this forum telling you that ebay and/or paypal are dangerous for bitcoin-selling. If you are blind for these dangers because you're just after the profits, fine. But if you are taking the risk (either because you want it or because you are uninformed) then it is also your fault if you are making a loss.

The world isn't black and white. People also need to see their own faults.

With regard do personal details of a scammer: Publication of their personal data is illegal, after all it is personal data. Some person claiming the person to be a scammer doesn't make them one. This other person could perhaps claim the same. Just hearing one side of a story is always just part of the story.

simply delete the file wallet.dat in %appdata%\bitcoin. for example by typing win-button + r, the %appdata% to open the %appdata%-directory on your computer, then navigate to bitcoin folder. there you can delete your wallet.dat.

you lose your current wallet, which is no problem for you, as you have to bitcoins yet. bitcoin will create a new passwordfree wallet.dat for you after the next start.
