1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: March 18, 2024, 06:16:44 AM
I agreed on all the points because in all the professions or work if there is profit then in those professions people try their best to involve themselves in the work. Gambling is an uncertain possibility where one indulges in gambling for entertainment or one indulges in gambling due to excessive addiction. But if a gambler can keep himself busy with other activities, it becomes easier for him to abstain from gambling. In my case it's different because I usually use my allotted 20 minutes for gambling even if I am included in hundreds of tasks. Because I am so addicted to gambling sportsbetting that I never miss the 20 minutes given to me even if I am very busy. But I don't involve myself in gambling every day but at least three days a week I spend such time in gambling.

It would really take sheer will and determination to change your path outside of gambling.
For me, it is fine to bet once in a while, especially if you are betting on your favorite sports, and you
practically know everyone on the team or the league itself.
But if you think, your gambling activities are already hindering your important tasks such as your main job,
better re-assess your situation and prioritize the tasks that you believe have good impact in your life in general.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: January 26, 2024, 09:19:05 PM
Market is going always against me, I have recently selected a coin named Manta in the Binance and when I think for that coin to buy then the coin move forward nd also when I saw it after sometimes the coin jumps from its own position. Then I take a step backwards for waiting for its dip then against it moves forwards more. In this way, it is Nott the first time I have seen it 8 time approximately but it is still not working for me in the Binance for many days.
That's because that coin is still fresh and new to Binance. With that situation of the coin it's really gonna give you a quick movement and you either make it or break it from it. That is what usually gonna happen with coins newly listed on Binance and any other exchanges. They'll give you the excitement but you see to it that they're moving as quickly as they can while most of the traders are on them, trying to make quick gains. But if you stay for so long on it, you'll get stuck.

New coins is actually hard to determine their next movement, and so you are just speculating on this matter.
If you already invested on such project, what you can do is keep up with their updates, follow their social media channels as you can get some insights on where they are heading to.
Most of the time, they won't disclose their plans on their official website, but you can get some valuable inputs from their social media platforms.
The way they respond to their followers and how they give answers to some critical plans towards their project.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 21, 2024, 10:52:27 AM
For me the cash-out option in a casino particularly in sports betting is good but I don't find it appealing. Maybe because of my experience that I have regretted my decision to cash out early and just miss a big payout if I was patient to wait until the game is over. I think it's not about being patient but it's about "fear", a fear of losing that's why when we see the advantage we tend to cash out, but actually that does not give us favor, it always favor the sportsbook so although that kind of feature do exist, I tend not to mind it.

Also, if you believe you have high chance of winning such bet, hence, not going to the route of cashing out.
Some people are also cashing out for the reason that they don't want to go home with zero funds in their pocket.
This decision entirely depends on the bettor himself, depending on his financial considerations and the likelihood to win such bet.
This for me is actually one good feature of the bookie, at least, give a chance to the bettor to change his mind before the game is over.
Even if the amount is just only a certain percentage of his total amount of bet, at least, return something if the bettor changed his mind.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 21, 2024, 09:52:27 AM
Sometimes, we don't need to listen to what other people say because their comments to you will become your basis in yourself,it's hard to listen and trust what other people say because we don't know what their intentions are when criticizing you, their judgement may be good or bad but at It's better if you will listen to your family and closest one who knows you better and wants to improve yourself in life, for real.
Gambling can either been seen as negative or positive activity, it depends on a person's point of view. Gambling is an open activity in which anyone can participate without any pressure from others. Besides, this is a free world, and I've worked hard enough to pay my bills, so I won't tolerate any type of abuse from anyone; after all, I'm not looking for an entitlement post in either religion or where I work. We are citizens who work sufficiently forceful to ensure that we create our primary income for ourselves and our families, and we do so while simultaneously creating change for pockets.

As long as you know yourself why you are into this gambling activity, there's no reason to be guilty of.
Because people will always have something to say, no matter what. So if you are confident about yourself, then there's nothing to worry of.
Worry if you are loaning the money and spending your basic needs, and you have no financial back-up where you will end up destitute.
So in this particular subject, so long you are not bothering anyone because of your gambling activities, there's nothing to be concerned about.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will USTC hit 1$ again and be a stable coin ? on: January 21, 2024, 09:09:08 AM
In my opinion, the USTC is unlikely to ever become a stable currency again. However, crypto is unpredictable. Yet without a backup a token never survives in the market. Currently the USTC has no real USD backup. So even if it survives for a little while, dumping will happen again at any time, because it will not be able to sustain the price.

I won't trust again to invest on this failed project. Better go for other stable coins if you want to get a hold of stable coin.
I don't know how people will trust again on this, but if you happen to try again your hands into this, better be always on the lookout, before you realize you are holding worthless coins.
So for me, don't expect that it will reach the 1$ value again, because right now, such feat is like punch in the air so to speak.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Step you have to take before venturing into the market on: January 21, 2024, 08:04:33 AM
(2) you must learn how to be patient: without patience it's nearly impossible to be successful in the crypto market, that is one of the virtue required in the craft.

Acquiring the knowledge and applying it in your trading with a proper risk management strategy in addition to having patient with your trade can be a strong weapon against the market psychology which can be deceptive to new traders that  may have acquired the knowledge quite well but lacking patient with their trades, that at the event of unpleasant move of the market  against their trade they get too quick to take profit instead of being patient with their trade for the greater success of it that lies ahead with time. Some even out of fear exit the trade with a loss.

Patience is indeed needed in this market because it is not an overnight task to learn things.
Those tips and strategies can be learned throughout the years of your experience.
And do remember, each project is unique, thus, it is quite difficult to apply your learnings. You still need to assess every situation.
The strategy you used for one coin doesn't mean it will be applicable to your next coin. They have their own strengths and weaknesses, and that's for you to find out.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your expectations for the few weeks after the halving period? on: January 20, 2024, 11:57:26 PM
From the history of Bitcoin prices and past halving, the bull market usually starts the year after halving. Last year, there was so much speculation about the price being able to reach $60k+ before the end of 2023 or even before the halving year. Time flies, and we are already in 2024. Three months from now, the fourth Bitcoin halving will happen, but there has not been a huge pump according to the predictions of last year.

That's to say that despite people's predictions and price expectations, they cannot be very accurate with speculation. I expect that Bitcoin might be around $50k to $55k before or after the Bitcoin halving, and possibly the closing price for this year could be around $60k.

Of course, what we can do today is just pure speculation. And because of the positive vibes surrounding this market, we are predicting it to increase.
We can all speculate what's gonna happen but the real action will be on us, how are we going to act on this upcoming event.
It is understandable if people have high expectations, but I think, one should still be conservative with estimates particularly if you have financial constraints.
We can be bullish with what we are thinking but carefully consider your financial capabilities before jumping on this bandwagon.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin an opportunity like land on: January 20, 2024, 11:30:52 PM
Both are good investment, if you have both then you're lucky.

It is true that land as a property is such a good investment, however, the tax you're going to pay per month or per year is also a pain in the ass if you don't put anything in your land, like raising livestock on it or plants fruits and vegetables to generate more profits. Here in my country, land that are near the roads pitch much higher prices than those who are in a very high places like in farms near the forest.

While Bitcoin, if you bought some and hold for long term, it is all about waiting game until you hit the price where you're contented about selling it, no hassle at all. Though each of them has their own advantages, so either of them is a good investment in short.

Both opportunities are full of advantages but the benefits of lands depends on location. As you mentioned that land near to roads have more prices than near to forest but more expensive you buy more profitable you will be because the price of land near to road are getting expensive very fast.

Bitcoin is also good source for investment because one can buy bitcoin by using little by little money if he is unable to buy a whole bitcoin but in a case of land one cannot use little sum to buy it but whole portion of land should must be buy at once.

Profit can be easily achieved from both sources but it up to a person that from which source he can easily get profit and also it depends on market situations but bitcoin is more unstable whereas land is stable in price and also is increasing continuously without showing any decrease.

Let us put it this way, there are pros and cons in both investments. So as an investor, you need to weigh your situation here.
In both instances, the final decision depends on the person himself because he knows his financials better than people around him.
At the end of the day, you will be the one who can truly understand your needs and your financial capability.
You can gain valuable insights from others but it is all on you how you will choose your investment options.
9  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: January 20, 2024, 10:17:48 PM
rules that are unfair and burdensome for their own users, it's the same as we are giving them free money, it would be better with the rules of giving kyc first before playing so users can determine their choices, such rules look quite cunning like going into a crocodile's mouth, because most people really hate giving identity to casino sites

They can also try to be soft on us by allowing us to have an itch free experience with using them on the start before later demanding for what they want, this is just all about understanding, if a casino is a KYC gambling platform, then know this and have peace, so that you can be able to present their requirements on request at any time without fear or any challenges, this is also like a strategy for them to get people attracted to their gambling platform, when you find it easier to begin with, that may be the only reason to make you choose to continue with them.

As most licensed casinos are requiring KYC, the player himself should be ready at all times to submit the docs if deem necessary.
Because you agree with the terms of the site, it means, whenever they ask a specific requirement from you, you need to obliged.
So better know what you are getting into, before you complain that the site is asking a doc from you, because it is already stated in their terms in the first place.
This is why most gamblers are being caught in a situation because they failed to browse the terms of the site.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 19, 2024, 11:28:20 PM
To me that actions shows that the addict is still very responsible and knows what he is doing, but just that, he can't control his gambling urge, so at that, we don't need to generalized things, since we already know that every individual have they own difference's and ways of doing things.

Others are just putting too much negative to the term "addicted". Not all addicted are considered on the verge now of becoming crazy. I truly believe that there are lots of addicted gamblers that are responsible on other aspects of their life. They just do gambling maybe because of personal reasons and seems these addicted gamblers can afford to cover their gambling expenses without affecting their finance on their family.

If only all addicted gamblers are like that then we might see a healthy gambling environment but that's not possible to happened at everyone.

Of course, there are so many stages of addiction. But if you already recognize that you are on the verge of it, better alter your lifestyle.
If you are still clearly thinking about what's going on with your life, it may not be too difficult for you to change the path you are traversing with.
Don't get too deep before you wake up your mind because that would really be a challenge not only for you, but for your immediate family.
Do remember, you only live once on this planet, why not make it valuable to others? And for yourself?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 19, 2024, 10:16:08 PM
Op the person that pay the house rent Bitcoin is more knowledgeable on Bitcoin than you. What is the core meaning and the creation of Bitcoin. It is a peer to peer digital currency which is meant to buy and pay things online so what the person is on the confined of the creation of Bitcoin and not out of point. Yes Bitcoin is better than the fiat currency but if the receiver of the transaction agree to receive with cryptocurrency then and if the sender has it then he can send it to the receiver because there are sometimes the transaction process is cumbersome, the process is long and delayed so to make it faster the sender will just send it directly to the person address without using third party.

Argentina is cryptocurrency friendly Nation so a large number of people are using Bitcoin so it is easy to pay with bitcoin than Bitcoin.

In this kind of decision, it relies on the user and receiver of the btc transaction.
If they feel they are doing this for convenience purposes, then, for me, there's nothing with it.
So long you know what you are doing and you feel you are taking advantage of the features of btc transaction, are all that matters.
A lot of people feel it is being wasted because of the potential to gain profit in the market, however, it is on you if you will utilize
btc to other valuable purposes like paying for something that you need or want, and you are happy about it.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Surge in Meme Coins on: January 19, 2024, 09:22:27 PM
This is a seasonal token where you can make a lot of profit, the risk there but it can be rewarding as well.
Once you are able to catch a good meme token at first and that token pumps 100% then that can be a good profit to you. Some succeed on this while many trap on this, so its a matter of timing when you are going to deal with the meme token and make sure that you can handle it or else you can lose everything.

The move to invest in meme tokens for me is a very risky one as you have no idea if the dev team behind it will play a trap to its buyers.
Most of the time, they are creating such project just to siphon the funds from naive investors.
And once they got a hold of some of these funds, they will be missing in action and disappear without a trace.
This is the dilemma in most short-lived projects, they are only for short-term gains and don't care if they screw somebody else's hard-earned money or savings.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: January 18, 2024, 11:58:23 PM
We can't discuss gambling related to religion here as everyone has a different opinion about this and the cycle will just never end. Let's just put it simply that there's no 100% perfect religion where everyone will follow their respective things to be followed. In most parts of the world, people are exposed to gambling regardless of their religion that's why there's always a chance that these people will do gambling even if it's not allowed in their religion.

Same as how people treat liquors, drugs and other considered sin activities.

Just respect is all we need when it comes to this type of subject.
We don't need to brand anyone based on his religion, because all religion are all just created by man.
So each one has their own beliefs, and so their way of living. This is why we need to respect each individual on this matter.
If we are against their beliefs, then just avoid mingling with them. Mind your own business. As long as they are not forcing you to live with their beliefs.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong perspective towards Bitcoin investment on: January 18, 2024, 11:25:15 PM
The investor's first investment experience with Bitcoin happens to be on the wrong hand and needs more of conviction to change his mindset towards Bitcoin. Little or no research and being too desperate to make money in crypto are one of the main reasons why most people or newbie investors get scammed in the industry such
as this person. At times, those that brought in these people did not provide them proper information on how to navigate their way safely without falling into the traps of scammers.

That's the dilemma of most newcomers, they thought that it is too easy to gain profits but there"s more than meets the eyes in this market.
People should educate themselves and not rely on someone else's opinions. Because that is detrimental to your funds.
They don't care about what you do with your money, so it is your own responsibility to take care of your assets.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 18, 2024, 09:38:19 PM
Random pick our guess does not make us win neither does carefully selected games gives us winning, to me analysing games and matches draws us more closer to winning and the chances are very high than randomly picking. Although someone can be actually correct by picking randomly but the chance are very slime in my opinion, so the best is to give time and carefully make their analysis even as we often say that gambling is a game of probability but there are more chance of winning a well predicted matches than randomly picked.
Although I don't know the correlation between gamble with or without analyzing the match to forecast the result, but random picking is terrible idea. I can't imagine what's the fun with that, when you don't have any idea why you choose that.

Example there's a match Liverpool vs Manchester City, I randomly pick under 2.5 goals. I will be happy if I won, but before and during watching the match, there's no fun at all.

If you are just betting randomly on a match, it means you are likely just wasting your time and money into this.
You will also find out that the thrill of watching the match is just not very exciting as you are putting less effort in thinking about your bet.
Much better if you will at least have a lil bit of analysis of what you are betting so you have the interest to keep up with the game.
Because if it is just random pick, more than likely, you are only interested on the outcome not while the game is playing.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best sources for discovering high-quality airdrops? on: January 18, 2024, 08:52:28 PM
The thread is about where people source high quality airdrops and then OP goes to share an under the radar supposed blast-like airdrop mechanism. I don't know about you all but my security senses have screaming red flags. If anyone decides to follow through with the link, don't forget to be extremely careful before connecting your wallet to a sketchy site like that. Also, copycat of popular sites turn out to be outright scams more often than not.

This is the responsibility of the user himself, to verify if the site is indeed legit.
And even if the site is legit, you can't be very sure also with their content.
Most airdrops or give-aways will just waste your time, so it is up to the user if he will join them or not.
There are so many sites dedicating for this kind of service, however, we all know very few projects will turn out to be worthwhile of your time.
Hence, it is your duty to educate yourself about the validity of the project particularly if you will send some vital info to their site just to claim some freebies you don't know if they will make it or not in the trading market.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: The savings problem on: January 18, 2024, 07:57:17 PM
So, do you agree that radical changes are needed?
A radical change needs to be made no doubt and it has to be in the area of inflation control. Government should reduce lending and printing of money because it all creates room for more money in circulation. Some one has argued that it is easier to make money now and be rich unlike in the past where you have to work hard and harder yet no much financial benefit acrue to it but you were able to get the value of the money you had then unlike now where you have money being devalued by inflation.

So a swift solution should be in trying to reduce inflation like I said earlier, making loan available, bonds and treasurer bills, printing of money should all be reduced to the economy will gain some value. If you have less inflation then you have money whose purchasing power is very high and you can purchase alot with little money and you can save and reinvest.

We can think of the solutions that the government should do, however, it is the government itself which can truly address this situation.
Though inputs here are quite nice as you can see that ordinary citizens have their some sort of solution to the ongoing challenge faced by people.
If only some of those suggestions can reach to the government and be seriously considered. It would be nice to have some input coming from its people.
A radical change is needed, but how can we actually implement it? Most of the time, it is only all in our minds but not put into action especially if we have no power to influence the decision in the government.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My btc full year plan 2024 on: January 17, 2024, 11:59:42 PM
My 2024 btc plan with which I will start my 2024 year the following months possible btc low and high we will see later. as we know according to btc the market moves on the following prices I buy or sell according to the correct %...

Do you really have a crystal ball that you have so accurately described the Bitcoin price movement in 2024? If you don't have one, then this prediction looks like it appeared out of thin air. But in both cases, I think that after a year, little coincides with reality.

Everyone can make their predictions on this market, we can't say it is right or wrong.
But as anyone can give their own speculations, the difference is how we act on such speculations.
Are you going to collect your satoshis or just speculate only? This is where each user deviate from each other.
Anyone can lay out their plans, but the implementation is how they will be different.
Some can execute their plans, whereas, most are just pure talk only and won't spend any penny.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 17, 2024, 11:12:43 PM
Only myself affects my own bet and not others. If I see others betting with large amounts, I don't mind about that nor be jealous with it.

It's not my money and I will only be curious with my own money and not with the others. There are gamblers that can bet as much as they can but not me and that's the case for me.

I'll only bet with amounts that won't make me feel bad of losing it.

I have the same sentiments on this matter. Because you can't do anything much with how much you can afford to bet.
Yes, sometimes it is good to see those large bets but should not take them seriously and apply it on your own bets.
This is not the way to look at this scenario. Maybe, you can get an inspiration but not to the point of borrowing money just to follow such high rollers.
Because if you lose your bet, how can you recover such loss if you have no more money to continue your game?
So in a regular basis, I don't check someone else's amount of bets. But just mind my own bets. You will find out, it is good for your peace of mind
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 17, 2024, 09:57:48 PM
The OP should think of other activities that he think can motivate him to alter his lifestyle.
It is not too late to change, now that he recognized he has a gambling disorder.
When you are about to place another bet after a loss, think of something you believe will be in jeopardy like -
 - bills to pay, food for the table, kids/spouse relying on you and other important facets in your life.
This is not the way to resolve your situation. There are better ways to look at your life and be worthwhile to your loved ones.
