61  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: March 21, 2016, 08:55:20 PM
kano is a for-profit pool operator.  I don't think it aligns with our principles to mine that way.

Ok, i'm not going to comment against your statement about kano...

"We could move our hashrate to a larger private BTC mining pool to reduce variance"

Then i don't know or understand which larger private BTC mining pool you would propose?

62  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: March 21, 2016, 08:20:28 PM
As some of you may be aware, our payouts have become quite erratic due to the diminishing hashrate of p2pool.  This has been effecting operations and I'd like to hear some opinions from fans about the situation.

We do have some options...  We could explore solo mining a less difficult coin such as PPC and converting the earnings to BTC for distributions.  We could move our hashrate to a larger private BTC mining pool to reduce variance.  We could stick with p2pool and hope that things improve.  We could also do a combination of the above.  Our decision to support p2pool was highly based on doing what is best for Bitcoin, but I feel as though it is starting to negatively effect our operation as centralized mining becomes more and more prevalent.  With the problem seemingly getting worse before it improves, I think the time is now to start discussing alternatives.  Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Hi Og,

here my thoughts on the Situation:

1. If everybody leaves p2pool it's finally dead ... and i personally don't like that idea! But also, i only mine with 1TH there, because like most of us i have opperating costs...

2. Please don't switch to altcoin-mining in any way. Possible profit or not!

I would propose: Split the Hashrate half p2pool and half kano.is (i just can underline wttbs's comment about kano.is!)
This way there would be nearly guaranteed weekly distributions, and from time to time, one is a bit larger when p2pool hits, or even better have a good luck streak somewhen ... again, maybe, hopefully  Smiley

Best Wishes!

P.S.

Personally i would just risk pointing the Avalon6 (is it still there?) to solo.ck  forget that investion and hope for the best! But sure, that gambling with funds, would need a poll ... but i like to leave it here anyway!

Hi Phil  .  _   is both fine as far as i know ... and you can see it's up an hashing away, or not!?

So this is getting of Topic ... but i think Kano and the miners here will excuse, because they had that fat Block 399022 to split  Wink

See You

Ohh.. Thought he said his address was : 15awcsvGd2xyVwab5eq1RSGfzG8ESY9Vf5

that is where he sent it.

I sent to that address when I fund my bittrex account so I was aware that he is most likely not lying and simply fucked up.

Maybe it is a good fuckup for him.

When I read stories like his I usually do something like this.

One time it worked and a block was hit on the very day coins went to 500 usd last year.

The amazing thing is I did a 30 hour rental someone saw what I did and point his s-7 at the same address ie mine and said if it hits split the block ⅓ each.  2 hours after my rental he hit the block with his s-7 so the guy that was screwed coins got 8 I got 8 the guy with the s-7 got 8

to make things better while we waited for block to confirm coin price went from 390 to 499.  I cashed my 8 coins at 492 each.  maybe some of that lightening hits here

Hi Phil,

yes was a nice Block Hit last year  Smiley  ... unfortunately our second try for "wmtomsolino" (i think that was his avatar) wasn't same as lucky ... i think he didn't needed the Coins Tongue

So, what do you think? should i step in again, your decision if, and how to split the Coins after we hit, we will for sure Cheesy

Awaiting your reply! In case you say yes, how many hours left from now to catch that Block? (i mean when will your rental finish)

Best Wishes!

Fingolfin

P.S It was 3 x SP20 + 1 x S7 ... and an SP 20 hit the Block  Smiley ... Also i only wanted 4,5 Coins for my step in, but i was fine with your decision to split by three.

P.P.S. Side Note : Yes, you have to eat chicken guys  Cheesy ... look at that 502% Block

I did 30 hours this time. it is up to you bro.

Hi Phil... ah i checked the time of your post after i wrote  Smiley

so, here we go http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje_Fin

Good Luck to All at this Pool, and not at least to 1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje  Cheesy

See you to split the Block...

I have been trying hard for this one.  When i saw that my stats had reset at ckpool, I thought, "no way, this is too good to be true", so I looked at blockchain, and sure enough, I did it!!

I went yelling through the house, waking everyone, "I just won $10,000"

and as i was trying to explain how I did this to my mom, I saw it had orphaned.

it was rental, I've spent about 5 btc over the past few days

Okay  This worked before so lets try it again.

In your honor of first orphan  I will mine in your name for 1 day.  If it hits we will split the block.

Hope for history to repeat

Hi Philip,

ah Cool  Wink

i was a little bit lazy with decisions the last days... But this here looks fine! If it's OK i step in again?!

3 x SP 20 + 1 x S7 (the Hashrate varys a bit, so i would say approx 7 TH for 48 hours)  Starting know 20:00h Berlin Time - Ending 13.11 20:00h Berlin Time.

If you are optimistic, so i would say let's hit another Block!

Best Wishes  Smiley

@ Philip

All went through! Thanks again. Enjoy the warm weather and the meal with your wife! Will take some days until i see my girlfriend again. But we also will have a nice meal in the sunny snowy weather at the mountains i live  Smiley

@ fredi

No Problem, your welcome! I was as much surprised as you and phil. And like you, this also help me cover my bills without need to cash out all coins : )   ...  By the way, if you need to cash out, and have the time to watch the acctual bumping. Cash out slowly and watch patiently what will happen until the end of the year. No guarantees no promises! Just don't push the sell button to early  Wink

Regarding Tip's and and stuff:

I rounded up some donations to 1PKN... i had made earlier this year to a total of 0.5 BTC  fdce37e55cff5bd12e30820a6a366ffea90add6682a6eebc53b33d663b580f79  (0.275 sent in this transaction)  that is meant as a thank you to -ck just for the existence of solo.ck!

I made the once common 0,5 BTC donation also to 1 PKN... for the Block solve ... would be nice if this will get common again!   b25c410f4589ed8f37a3cd24a09eaa322c93e61424924fa38202ae756101f1b4

Half related:

i rounded up my previous donations to 1Kanoi... to a total of 0,5 BTC. As a thank you to Kano for the existence of Kano.is. Also for always being helpfull, "holding my hand" when i got paranoid  Cheesy ... and stuff like that    b25c410f4589ed8f37a3cd24a09eaa322c93e61424924fa38202ae756101f1b4  (0.175 BTC sent in this transaction)

Finally i've sent 0.2911BTC to 1Jjk2LmktEQKnv8r2cZ9MvLiZwZ9gxabKm  to round up my previous donation for the Ant Firmware's and binarys to a total of 0.5 BTC    b25c410f4589ed8f37a3cd24a09eaa322c93e61424924fa38202ae756101f1b4

So, know a short complete OFF Topic: Kano told me in a PM some day that he's going to write an S5 Firmware. If more people step in i'm going to send 0,5 BTC more to 1Jjk2LmktEQKnv8r2cZ9MvLiZwZ9gxabKm to motivate him doing that work  Wink

And back on topic: In my mind there is an specific cgminer Donation pending.... but that will take a bit. But will happen!

Best Wishes to all!

Fingolfin

Edit: I just saw that none of the transactions i mentioned above has any confirmations yet. In case they come back to me, i will resend them all, of course.

I post my Tip transactions later or tommorow (maybe i can encourage some more people to donate / pay for the "stuff" they use), have to do some calculations first.

Thanks to all the people that made comments about that Block solve!

No. I'm afraid not.

93537252325 nice share on my SP20 .... looks like Philip has access to the coins @ 1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

okay when it clears  I will send

fredi you and me  the coins

see you took my act of kindness and multiplied it.

Nice.

I figure 8.4 coins each = 25.2 and tip ck  .32

I sent out pm's to fredi and Fingolfin

I will need btc addies from both of you

Hi Philip,

yes i saw goodwill and decided in a second that i step in. Even without confirmation from you. But i made the decision so i proceeded  Smiley

One consideration was, all the post in that forum about ROI / How much Money can i make / bla bla bla greedyness ... Please send to :   1JvUaCNrR6jbnGwR68BbnFJddFh3MH4dWz

Thanks, and good Luck to all solo miners!

Make Note you did very well.

To ensure you get coins safely I will first send you 0.1 btc to the address above.  let me know you got the 0.1 via a post here then I will send the 8.3 coins to you.
I will post the transactions on this thread.

I can do the test 0.1 now , but the 8.3 will need to clear in about 9 more hours.

there is the 0.1

I will send the rest in 8-10 hours  maybe more like 14 hours as in 10 hours it is 3:36 am

Hey Thanks for your precaution!  Anyway looks like to much Transactions in the MemPool .... and the Chinese Pools seems to not like that transaction Cheesy

I edit that post later when i have recieved the 0.1. Also, if the Block get orphaned (not sure, is that still possible after 40 confirmation???) i refund you the 0.1003BTC

See you later

Hi Philip,

maybe you ignore newbs by default!? However, to show that i mean what i say i just added the promissed hashrate to : http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje    until 03. November 21:00h 2015 Berlin Time

I liked your solidarity, and decided i like to step in. If we hit a block, proceed like you whish! But if you will fund 4,5 BTC to the adress i will specify in the "lucky case", all (Kano, -ck, and my electricity bill will have fun ; ) ... also fredi will feel much better! Which was the main reason  Wink  ... maybe we also can start talking about legit s5 & S7 firmware....

By the way, i used your Nice Hash Sig-link to open an account there and also spend alot of coins  Wink

So far...  nevermind! But maybe not all people should mistrust newbs by default ( for example: your mistrust against RichBC ... he didn't wanted to sell you anything! Also, i didn't asked for your trust, i made the total different! think about!)

And for second time! Thanks for ALL your usefull posts!

Best Wishes!

Fingolfin

I'm of the opinion that 12.5 BTC + 3 BTCwould have been sufficient for a refund. That would make NH come out like the big guy doing well by its customers for having untested faulty code (either on the website, checking for non-compliant addresses, or the backend mining code) and give Fredi a bug-finding reward. He wouldn't have thrown a fit and made the problem so public had he been made happy within reason either, further tarninshing NiceHash's reputation.

I'll add that I'll mine for you too, Fredi. For the next WEEK my little Sparky experiment will be mining for you. If I win, I'll send you 15.5 BTC and feel good about every bit of it.

Good luck!

I did a long signature with nicehash  maybe 6 months he was pretty good to me.  ck has been pretty good to me.  So I am not throwing them under the bus.

I think the mining community needs both a solid solo pool like ck runs and I think we need a service like nicehash.

But I feel for fredi so if a few of us donate a bit maybe it will work out for him.  He did take a bullet for all of us on the multi sig issue.
75  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin mining 114 blocks solved! on: November 01, 2015, 06:23:17 PM
I think he's confused me with fredi.

In response to the other post I turn on the cpu miner when I'm out in low temperatures only haha quite a way to warm you up Smiley I don't run it much though I'd rather not stress it if one wants to cpu mine a block erupted is better

Yes! Sorry, i changed the Name to "fredi" in my post  Smiley  ... Good Luck with CPU-mining  Shocked   .... i tried 70 days with around 11TH .... nope, nothing , nada  Smiley  Best share around 8.800.000.000 ... later with around 1 TH 11.000.000.000   .... speed is only part of the game  Wink  ... Luck is more important! Don't overheat your Laptop Smiley

@nicehash

Sorry, i didn't wanted to offend you, my intention for this post was a complete other!   Smiley

quote:

To explain what happened (simplified explanation): ckpool code was unable to handle generating found block to a multi-sig address (3xxx). When fredi was mining it was using multi-sig address and he was the first ever to find block when using mulit-sig address. When the block was found the ckpool code generated this block to a "random" Bitcoin address (ckpool converted the bitcoin address to hash160, and "inserted" that hash to coinbase tx).

quote end

I don't said you or -ck has access to the coins! I'm just wondering why (obviously a bug! or?), a bitcoin adress is randomly generated and there is nowhere access to the corresponding private key. That where my thoughts! Nothing else! Sorry, i just was wondering!

When i read my post again, i better had skipped the "not legit" part! Sorry again!

Best Regards!

Fingolfin

Wow!  Cheesy

Thats a very nice guesture of solidarity!!!

@ philipma1957:

If you like to expand the solidary-mining-time, i step in with around 7,7 TH! (3 x SP20 @ around 950 GH/s + 1 x S7 @ around 4850 GH/s). For 48h after your OK!

If we hit a block i would like to get 4,5 Coins out of it (0,5 from that would be reserved to -ck for the nice Pool ... also some other donations are still pending   Wink  . If this is OK just reply, i'm online around 7h from know!

Nice fresh wind in the community by the look of things : ) ...

About Nicehash, where excatly is the Problem sending the Block / 25 BTC from "fredi" to an adress that is accesible Huh Sorry! But that's just not legit!!! (or i get something wrong again???)

Best Wishes & Good Luck to all solo miners!    Wink

Fingolfin

Dear @-ck
I find out the script in solo.nicehash is yours like solo.ckpool .
Few month ago i rent some hashrate and pointed to solo.nicehash but i use a wallet address started with 3.
I found a block but unfortunately pool do not accept addresses with 3 that time and create an address and sent fund to this address:
https://blockchain.info/address/1PN9XH9pPXtYHeupDAiFeFrkgXiwKZVUVe

Is there any way that i can access to my coins ?
Nicehash admin's refund to me ~3 btc because of that situation. but i spent more than that and lately i got realy bad luck in my life and this 25 btc would be really good help in this time.  so i came here and ask.
thanks.

@ fredi

so 25-3 = 22 btc correct?

I am not a rich guy so I can't say here is 22 btc , but I feel for you.

So I pointed this at ck's pool for 1 day  if it hits  I will split the block with you

http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

@ nicehash  not telling you what to do but a 3btc refund is a bit lite.  You could have given him more for your error not his.

EDIT: Yes, i confused "jacobmayes94" with "fredi" ! Icorrected my Post! Sorry!

Hallo OgNasty,

yes you interpreted my PM's right  Smiley

I like to order the 450$ Pre Order Package. What i tried to write in the PM was following:   (I can not write more PM's in the next 60 min)

1. Payment will be able lately Tuesday Evening! (like the last time) And i asked if you like to fix the price today or wait until tuesday (mid european time)?

2. I wanted to know when you expect the coins to be shipped? If it's after the 15. Dezember, you would have to wait with shipping until April 2016. Would that be OK?

Also please confirm that you still have my Shipping Adress (i ordered a 1 oz coin a while ago). Just because it seems to be impossible to communicate via PM in the Forum when you are a newby! I really don't know what i have written, that caused that the whole PM was censored 4 times.

I also wrote some other stuff ... but i don't want to repeat everything here!

Thanks!

P.S.

Maybe you quote this post and reply here. I really don't like to post just something througout the Forum to get my Newby status away! May it helps a bit if you quote my post!?!
