@Jating. However, there is a skeptical way of thinking about this. What if Tyson Fury only made it appear that he was weak vs. Francis Ngannou? It might also be that Tyson Fury did not want to overtrain and have a higher risk of injury because he wants to prepare for the heavyweight championship unification vs. Usyk. The Ukrainian should not make the mistake of reducing his training schedule.
562  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More Regulation Incoming! on: November 13, 2023, 03:47:44 AM
I am not quite sure where to share this news, however, if this proposal is passed and approved, this might cause uncle Gary to submit his registration and end his chairmanship of the SEC eariler. It will certainly be a bullish moment for bitcoin and all of the cryptospace.

The skeptical me is thinking that this lawmaker is one of Blackrock's politicians that they carry in their pocket like nickels and dimes heehehe.

Rep. Tim Burchett of the United States introduced an amendment to the Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) bill that proposes to cut Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Gary Gensler's compensation to $1 per year.

The amendment was submitted as part of a larger campaign to defund the regulatory agency and to dramatically slash government expenditure.

Gensler's pay as SEC Chair is now reported to be more than $300,000 per year. Burchett's proposed amendment would reduce his compensation to a symbolic $1, emphasizing the legislator's desire to limit the regulator's authority.

563  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 end game sentiment check on: November 13, 2023, 02:39:23 AM
I feel like mid 2017 is repeating again. That is when price was starting to break $3k after a very long time being stuck below that and a group of bearwhales refused to accept the trend change and kept dumping their coins on the market to crash the price ... and ... they kept failing and losing money Tongue

Agreed heehhe! However, this pump might only be a speculation on the approval of the spot ETF. The next scheduled date for approval or rejection is on November 17, there are 2 applications and another one on November 21. If they are rejected, it might be a sell the news dump, I reckon. However, if at least 1 of 3 is approved, we can be quite certain that we will witness another pump to $40k.

The most bullish might be if 3 are rejected but bitcoin does listen and pumps to $40k hehehe. This would certainly be a declaration of strength by the bulls that we are officially on a bull market.

564  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex hacked, $100M+ stolen on: November 13, 2023, 01:48:53 AM
I was checking other sources and found an interesting bit in coindesk, see: https://www.coindesk.com/business/2023/11/10/poloniex-hot-wallets-hacked-65m-seemingly-stolen-on-chain-data/

So apparently, hackers bought $20M worth of TRX which bumped the price. But if it's for pump and dump scheme, why TRX of all altcoins? shouldn't there be easier coins?

However in another source, hackers appeared to have sent away $2.5 million lol

In one instance, however, the hacker appears to have fat-fingered at least one transaction, sending $2.5 million in stolen Golem tokens (GLM) to the token contract rather than the secondary addresses in their control. It will be impossible for them to recover this sum.

I'm not sure if we're being played or they're just dum dums.

We can be quite certain that in much of these hacks, we are being tricked by the development teams, the government and the hustlers of the cryptospace. It is very much similar with these declared DeFi hacks. They were only the development teams that wanted to steal the treasury hehehe.

On Justin Sun, it would not be very shocking if he wanted the whole cryptospace to dump while TRX pumps heeehehehe.

Also, this Poloniex hack might be blamed on the Lazarus group again hehe. How do we know that the Lazarus group is from North Korea? Do they have internet in North Korea?
565  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The SEC Struggles to Recruit Crypto Experts, Report Says on: November 12, 2023, 04:50:18 AM
Karma is a bitch.  Cheesy

SEC is the reason for many FUD on crypto which every crypto holders is affected. I doubt that someone in crypto industry will help this department that main goal is to suppress anonymity of crypto.

They should just invest on training someone to become crypto expert rather than hire from crypto community that despise them badly.

This is not karma. There is a requirement that before they can be hired, they should dump all of their cryptocoins and tokens. Why would anyone who has invested in the cryptospace do this? It would be something similar as becoming a traitor to the community hehehe. Also, it might be earning lesser than holding the right coins.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 11, 2023, 06:18:52 AM
@everyone. How are the injuries on the Broncos' secondary? I think if they are 100%, Russell Wilson and the Broncos might win +7 against the spread vs. Josh Allen and the Bills. Josh Allen is also not anymore the yearly MVP candidate that we have witnessed for the last 2 seasons, I reckon.

@ChiBitCTy. Where is Justin Fields?

In any case, in the beginning I thought I would win. In the present, I know I will lose again on this week.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 11, 2023, 05:32:11 AM
@YuginKadoya. You might have forgotten the sexy fighting kitten Mackenzie Dern hehehe. @pawel7777 might scold me again to rethink my life. This is her on the beach hehehehee.

However, I speculate that her enemy Jessica Andrade might be very underestimated by the oddmakers for this fight. She is given 2.70 odds of winning which is very headshaking, I reckon.

Also, there is a conspiracy theory that Jiri's shoulder injury and surgery is fake news. Where are the scars?

568  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: November 11, 2023, 03:31:10 AM
@Bitcoin_Arena. The government cannot takedown a much needed platform where anonymity is also very much needed by many cryptocoin users. Tornado Cash will change and take different forms appearances, however, the community of liquidity providers who want to earn from fees will always be there. If there is profit, there will be always people who will take the risk. The government should become aware that they cannot stop this anymore hehehe.

I am quite sure there will be certain people who will be annoyed by this on this forum.
569  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More Regulation Incoming! on: November 11, 2023, 02:28:23 AM
@zasad. However, the importance of this news is that there are also politicians who are not against bitcoin and who are not against the people's right to self custody and also not against creating transactions in the cryptospace without a middleman. We should begin taking these politicians more serious, I reckon.
570  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase delisting BSV :) on: November 11, 2023, 01:49:40 AM
It's still baffling how this garbage coin can have a market cap of almost $1 billion and is still listed on some major exchanges. With such minuscule hashrate it shouldn't even be considered safe to accept. It is a scam and the entire thing is controlled by Craig and his associates. It is strange that Coinbase still maintained support for it all these years.

Agreed. It appears the big exchanges' aggressiveness for collecting trading fees might have made them blind and not see what types of problems this might cause. The exchanges should have agreed and regulated themselves not to list projects that declare to be something that they are clearly not. It is headshaking why bald Brian, Jesse Powell, CZ and other exchanges CEOs allowed the listing of a coin founded by a person who has declared that he is Satoshi Nakomoto.
571  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More Regulation Incoming! on: November 10, 2023, 04:27:48 AM
News update.

This mignt be another good news hehe. It appears the argument can go on the opposite direction. The politicans who do not want self custody and argue that it is for everyone's safety can be argued that self custody is really for everyone's safety heheehe.

US Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) has introduced a new bill to protect the right of citizens to self-custody Bitcoin and other crypto. Indeed, Budd first introduced the bill to 118 Congress this week in a larger push for digital assets and financial freedom among United States citizens.

Dubbed the “Keep Your Coins Act”, the bill “protects an individual’s right to conduct transactions with cryptocurrency assets without the need to utilize a third-party intermediary.” Moreover, Budd has stated that the act seeks to prevent third-party risks to consumers amid the FTX collapse.

572  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Kraken to turn over select customer data to IRS after July court loss on: November 10, 2023, 03:52:16 AM
@larry_vw_1955. If the question is if the IRS could do anything to a company that does not have any type of presence under America's jurisdiction, I reckon not directly and it would be very complicated. It would be much easier for them to enforce the rules on American citizens.

However, is Kraken not an exchange based in San Francisco, California? The founder Jesse Powell is also an American, I reckon.

Kraken used to be based in San Francisco but they pulled out:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/kraken-shuts-down-global-headquarters-as-san-francisco-is-not-safe

“We shut down Kraken’s global headquarters on Market Street in San Francisco after numerous employees were attacked, harassed and robbed on their way to and from the office.”

However they still say they are a US based entity:

"While we [Kraken] have no plans to change our status as a US-based entity, the location of our headquarters doesn’t affect how we run our business."

If Jesse is American then even if they weren't a US based entity, I think they would be subject to the IRS just because of him. And if he flouted the law then I guess if he stepped on American soil they could arrest him at the airport type of thing.

So unless he also relinquished his american citizenship it wouldn't matter what type of entity they were and where they claimed or considered themself to be based.

Thank you for the information. This makes it appear that the IRS can do anything they want concerning their request for turning over Kraken customer data to them. I would not use this exchange if I was located or living in the Middle East hehehe. The American government might be using the IRS to crackdown on terrorist funding.
573  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: November 10, 2023, 03:33:31 AM
@JayJuanGee. Binance is the natural next target heheheh. However, this case on CZ and Binance might be something similar to Tether, Bitfinex and iFinex. There were many rumors and fud, however, there was nothing, they were not true or their team members are experts in escaping and supported by powerful backers. I was also one of the people who thought that a takedown on Tether was possible. It appears that I have made a mistake.

In any case, I speculate that CZ and Justin Sun are secretly backed by China also. This might be why they will never be taken down.

I am questioning whether I should respond further regarding your seemingly loonie ideas, because in some sense I don't mind some of the original theories, but I get irritated by some of the xenophobic comparisons that try to act like CZ, Binance and/or tether are the same or similar to FTX and SBF.. it is just ridiculous to be playing into those convenient, yet inaccurate hit-piece type narratives.  Sam went down in spite of being a darling and he was engaging in shady shit that is way worse than anyone else.. he was a slimeball from the start, and probably we don't really know some of the guilt of some of the folks helping him out, and that wasn't CZ, Binance and/or Tether, even if they had some business relationships with SBF and FTX, and Alameda, but CZ, Binance and/or Tether have been largely running legitimate operations.. even though they have had been somewhat elusive in terms of exactly figuring out where they are at and how they might be supported (Chinese maybe and/or other governments allow them to have operations in their jurisdictions).. but whatever, this thread is not about CZ, Binance and/or Tether... I probably said more than I wanted to say.. and I largely just repeated myself when I saw that video.. I was like, I already saw this video.. and made that comment about the CZ, Binance and/or Tether hit piece angle of it.

Agreed on the wrong comparisons on CZ and Sam. This is why I was speculating if the fud on Binance is similar to the fud on Tether, Bitfinex and iFinex. There were much speculations on insolvency and printing stablecoins without backing to pump the market, however, there was nothing. All of the speculations of their bankruptcy were also not true.

Also, it is headshaking that there are people in the forum who want to witness the imprisonment of CZ and the takedown of Binance hehehe.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The PATRIOT Act comes to cryptocurrency on: November 10, 2023, 02:36:44 AM
I had a similar argument against someone before about self custody and how the government wants to take this away from us. It appears this thread might teach him.

There are also news updates that treasury officials want congress to help fight against the illegal use of the cryptospace. If congress agrees then there might have more laws against self custody, there will be stricter KYC and there will certainly be a certain classification of people who will be banned from using the cryptospace.

However, everything from the treasury department is allegedly without the promise of showing proof.

A senior Treasury Department official said the Biden administration wants new powers from Congress to aid in a crackdown on the illicit use of cryptocurrencies, citing digital asset flows allegedly connected to Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Treasury has been in communication with Democrats and Republicans about actions that they could take, Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo said Tuesday in Washington at the annual meeting of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, a trade group.

575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hong Kong regulators might allow spot ETF on: November 10, 2023, 01:49:14 AM
@bittraffic. The argument is it is overhyped because the pump has occured before there was an approval and this might be something similar to a sell the news occurrence if it is approved.

However, agreed. Bitcoin will skyrocket later after approval when ETF issuers begin twapping hehehe.

Also, it appears Ethereum might also get a spot ETF.

BlackRock, one of the world’s biggest asset managers, officially filed its Spot Ethereum ETF with Nasdaq today. The company’s plan was revealed in a filing by the U.S. exchange where BlackRock will seek to list the product.

578  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase delisting BSV :) on: November 08, 2023, 02:37:21 AM
They are not technically delisting BSV since they already delisted this shitcoin back in 2021 and people weren't able to trade it ever since; they are just removing it from their platform entirely meaning it will no longer show up in users' wallets either. Which is surprising that they have kept this shitcoin in their database for this long. Maybe they still hoped it would recover or something so they could re-list it again?

https://financefeeds.com/coinbase-suspends-bitcoin-sv-trading-double-spending-attack/

This is headshaking behavior listing a cryptocoin that is known to be created and developed by a scammer. I am very aware that many altcoins can be argued as scams similar to what many maximalists are doing, however, this BSV is a different type. This is worse than FTX and Luna. The founder is telling everyone he is the inventor of bitcoin and many people trust him hehehehe.

If everyone wants uncle Gary to approve the ETF, I reckon exchanges should show that they can be responsible and show that they are helping stop the word of Craig the clown from spreading.
579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hong Kong regulators might allow spot ETF on: November 08, 2023, 01:20:04 AM
Every country is going to have to offer their people a Bitcoin spot ETF in the future. Not doing so would be hurting themselves financially and their future prospects. Even though Vanguard claims they never will, I’m sure they too will not be able to resist the fees and cries of their customers to bring a Bitcoin spot ETF product to market.

Agreed, however, the question I am presenting is whether the only modest take up of the futures ETF in America and in Hong Kong could be taken as a precedent for the spot ETF's performance. I reckon if thr answer is yes or maybe then similar to @Tytanowy Janusz's speculation, the effect of the spot ETFs on bitcoin might be overhyped.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: November 07, 2023, 04:48:05 AM
Regarding the ones that will probably be nominated, so far I watched Past Lives and Anatomy of A Fall and while both are good movies, I liked former more and so far it has been the most I saw this year. I am waiting for Oppenheimer and Killers of The Flower Moon to come on streaming sites while The Killer (the one I am very interested in because its Fincher's movie) is coming to Netflix in a few days (November 8th).

You should add Napoleon in your list of movies to watch. It will be released in cinemas on November 22. If this movie was created to be inspirational and if it can get your sympathy for the leading character then this movie might have the capability to win some awards as an underdog very much similar to Coda.

Also, as I have mentioned already, a Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix partnership has similar chances to win awards as Martin Scorsese and Leonardo di Caprio partnership hehehehe. The last movie of Ridley Scott with Joaquin is the Gladiator which won awards including best movie and best actor.
