1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: February 17, 2024, 06:21:13 AM
Dash wasn't a bad coin as long as you were mining it in the beginning and then sold near the top.  I thought about hanging on to those masternodes back in late 2017 but I made the correct decision and liquidated everything.  I was mining this coin right after it launched and had acquired it basically for free.   I was never one to hodl as they say.  I just wasn't a believer.

Anyway, I wish those that have stuck it out the best.  You never know what might happen.  Some still believe in miracles.

I was there at launch.

Anyone mining that was not on Linux miner got fucked and lied to, so the bolded in your statement is a lie, and he twice said there was going to be a relaunch because his shit software didn't work and then reneged on that when a big linux miner bribed him with the ninja mine.

So try learning history before spreading lies yourself.

I'm not spreading anything.  I made a ton of money off of Dash so I don't care what happened at launch.  It's been ten years.  Time to move on and stop dwelling about what happened at launch.  Complaining about it isn't going to change a thing.

I call out lies that I see and there is never a time to stop that.

And I'm not complaining, I am pointing out Facts.

I'm sorry if that makes you a sad little boy.

If My posts stop a n00b from giving money to people like you I will have considered my time well spent.

I'm not sad but you sure sound like you're crying.

I mined coins.  I sold coins.  Nothing more.  If you missed the boat then you should have tried to swim faster to catch up.

Nobody gave me anything.  I had coins.  I sold those coins on an exchange.  I didn't force anyone to buy anything.  I was just a small player that stayed on the fringes.  I had no involvement with anything other than running a few mining rigs and acquiring some coins.

You are obviously still bitter because you missed out.  One has to wonder why you even frequent this thread other than to complain.  Life is short.  You need to move on.  No amount of whining is going to change the past.

It's probably best if you just forget crypto even exists.  You were never cut out for it as your inability to move on proves.  You were not harmed.  You just couldn't mine any coins because you were not prepared.  Others were and they were able to mine coins.  Why are you blaming others for your inability to do what many others were able to do?  What happened to personal responsibility.  In 2014 when Darkcoin launched Windows wallets rarely worked and always had issues at launch.  Smart people were running Linux because of that.  It looks like you were not one of them.  Were you not smart enough to run anything but a Windows GUI?  It seems that is a strong possibility.  That's your problem and yours alone.  Playing the blame game is for weak people who can't face the facts.

Looks like Dash has made it to 101.  Some saw this coming.  Others wouldn't listen.

Is Dash still alive? Lot of payment processors like Coinbase commerce.coinbase.com or Poof poof.io, Paypal, Square, etc don't accept Dash anymore for payments.

It's had a pretty big fall from grace since 2017 although it's still on a few exchanges.

It's not FUD it's the facts.  Unlike some of you I was there when the coin was launched.  I saw it first hand.  It was a common method used in the early days to get a premine and then blame it on a difficulty glitch while massive amounts of coins are mined in the beginning by a few people.  Just read the first few pages of this thread.  It doesn't matter anymore anyway and I made a fortune off this coin so I really don't give a damn.  But to deny the facts is just ignorant.

I compiled the exe for Windows... no blocks yet, just a bazillion rejects.

Any chance you could upload that windows client exe? I'd be willing to throw 5k XCO at you. Just make sure it's the latest source from github

wut.. no premine but you have 5k to throw?  Huh

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: November 10, 2022, 03:58:37 PM

Disagree.  A common mistake in this space is to compare coins like Dash and Bitcoin with LUNA, Terra, FTT, BNB, SOLana and other such scams.  Those coins have massive premines/pre-sales to VC, can be printed at will without consensus and are used to collateralise risky bets that invariably come under pressure in bear markets, when they do they go to zero.  Dash and Bitcoin are different, they have a finite supply, fixed emission schedule, are not used to collaterlise risky bets by the coin's own creators.  These will coins will hold their value and return to high valuations when the stampede out of the market ends.

This is a great opportunity for Dash as the market is doing what it must do which is purge itself of the rubbish tokens thus allowing the OG coins to flourish once again.

You obviously don't know the history of DASH.  If you did you'd know that when it started out and was called Darkcoin that there was a 500,000 coin premine disguised as a glitch but was a scammy way of premining without calling it a premine.

DASH is a rubbish coin.

On January 1st 2018 Bitcoin was $15,000 and DASH was $1100.  Today June 11'th 2022 Bitcoin is $28,500 and Dash is less than $50.  I might not have gotten out at the top but I was close and I'm sure glad I dumped those MN's when I did.

Anyone that thinks this garbage coin has a future is mistaken.  DASH = GARBAGE

Are you thinking of getting back in?  Why are pessimistic about the future?

DASH has no future.

You guys are still bickering about this crap coin?  I guess someone has to go down with the ship.

Here's something to think about.

On 12/16/2017 BTC was around $19,000 US dollars and DASH was around $1,100

Today 02/22/2022 BTC is around $38,000 US dollars and DASH is around $92

BTC has increased 200% while DASH has decreased to about 7% of the value it had back in 2017.

I'm still waiting for DASH to overtake BTC.  Is there a date for that to occur?  Just exactly what functions are these Masternodes performing these days?

What about all the Real World Adoption that was coming?  Didn't you guys get the memo?  You can't have real world adoption when all of the coins are in the hands of a couple dozen individuals.

As if this wasn't always going to be the outcome of this crap coin.  Sure glad I dumped my masternodes back in early 2018.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: August 06, 2019, 03:37:30 PM
This is the last chance to buy #STRATIS at such low prices  Cool

Oh really?  The price has gone down since you made that post even though the price of bitcoin and most other alts have gone up.

Stratis is a turd.

Why would this coin have any value to anyone?  Why would a company use this chain for any reason?  Stratis is a scam.  All the nonsense like they are partnered with Microsoft.  Well anyone can be a Microsoft partner.  All you need is two people that have passed a test or two.  Shit, I was a Microsoft partner until a few years ago.  Big fucking deal.

How to become a certified gold partner:
Complete the Registered partner steps.
Assign key contact roles through the Partner Membership Centre. ...
Employ or contract with at least two exclusive MCPs or develop at least one tested solution. ...
Attain at least one Microsoft Competency.

This is a shit coin and anyone that didn't dump it when it peaked is a fool.  There is no future for this garbage.  Any company that wants to use the technology will just download the source from github and have their IT people implement it.  The business model is shit.  Nobody is going to hire any Stratis people to do shit.  And even if they did how would that add to the value of this shitcoin?  It was a pump and dump from the beginning by  few scamming pieces of bovine excrement.  Stratis is not the future at all.  It never was and never will be.  All that's left are the bagholders trying to pump it up and failing miserably.  You should have sold a long time ago.

Stratis (STRAT)
$0.487077 USD (-7.20%)
0.00004159 BTC (-6.82%)
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 14, 2018, 07:16:14 PM
Stratis falls deeper and for those who loves to take some chances this is a good time to buy and stake your coins, we don't know how long it will take and how bearish continue to pull down the market, but if you are still aiming for long term maybe this value can give you a good staking numbers, stratis can
still deliver and after the market goes back into  green this coin will also be lift up as progress are ongoing.

Telling people to buy Stratis is the worst advice ever.  This chain is worthless.  If any company adopts this technology they'll just start their own chain.  It's open source on github.  Do you actually think anyone would buy a bunch of Stratis to use for a business application?  They'll just use the open source software and start fresh.  There is no actual use for the current Stratis chain.  It was a pump and dump.  You should have sold when it was at $20 like the rest of us did.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 19, 2018, 12:35:40 AM
Other projects were pumped but their prices are never dumped, although they are shit projects, like LISK, DOGE, QTUM, and so forth. But why Stratis can't keep the price good?

Because a lot of big holders.

Yeah, I think so, but most investors dump Stratis before, which was bad, I think Stratis can hardly go up significantly like last year again.

This chain already had it's pump.  It's 10% of it's high.  If you didn't sell then or bought on the down side then you're screwed.  There is nothing to bring this chain up ever.  The premise of this technology means people develop their own chains.  Holding Stratis is a fools errand.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 19, 2018, 12:32:37 AM
I don't understand why this coin will ever be worth anything.  In fact it's over valued.  The entire premise behind stratis was a C# implementation of bitcoin.  If that's been achieved then it's open source and there is no need for this chain.  Why would this chain be worth anything  when the technology is open source and available on  github?  Nobody is going to use this chain  This is a dead chain with no prospects.

With  lmdb-based daemon on GUI wallet, I can run Boolberry very lightly on my PC. But BBR needs to be improved and has a wallet on a mobile device
Thanks Dev!

RAM usage went from almost 4 gigs to around 450 mb.  It's a great improvement and necessary as the blockchain grows in size.

Whats the latest with BBR? any milestones achieved recently or coming up?

They got the blockchain out of RAM and into an lmdb database.

Boolberry now has an lmdb-based daemon and GUI wallet.

Hi oldcoinguru, thanks you for your questions!

I'm currently using version v0.3.0.41(abcdeab).  That's what it says in the log.

What's the best way to start using the new version without having any file conflicts or overwriting any files?
Should I just move everything to another directory and then run the latest version?  I've downloaded the latest blockchain for LMDB.
There is no known conflicts with the files, but the advice may sound like this:
* Download http://boolberry.com/downloads/blockchain.zip
* Go to add data folder (on macos: /Users/user/Library/Application Support/boolb, on windows: C:\Users\roky\AppData\Roaming\boolb, linux: .boolb in home folder) and remove everything from there, and then copy folder blockchain extracted from archive.
* Run GUI or daemon

What about opening wallets?  Should I use the .keys file or the .bbr file?
Will the integrated mining be similar to MBK's release?  And do MBK's releases still work.
Thanks
Wallets are all the same as it was before the update. As well as mining, MBK's releases still work.

Zoidberg

Thanks!
