No one would buy if there is no sample pictures. I saw someone doing this on fiverr. They even show their face.

Es posible? Es una buena idea?

Gracias amigos!

Well, the unit is still up on craigslist, but I don't see any response to my email...

Is it still available?  I can pickup today if you still want to sell it

Sorry for not updating this thread. The unit was sold last week at the weekly Sunnyvale Bitcoin meetup.

Current high bid is $2300.

Hi all,

I apologize for the delay, I hosted a party last night and went snowboarding for the first time today.  Grin

I can snap a few pictures on Monday. For local pickup, you can of course see the miner in action live and verify that everything is in order.

I posted to Craigslist as well, where I received a shockingly large number of replies. The current best offer is 2 BTC from a Craigslister, which is roughly $2200. I'll update this thread with any additional Craigslist action. I'll close this out tomorrow (Sunday) night.

1.9 shipped in US

When I purchased the miner, the shipping cost was $300 within the US. So your offer of 1.9 BTC is not higher than the 1.6 BTC offer with local pickup.
$300 shipping San Francisco to US???

The forum seller who sold me the unit charged $300 for shipping, so I assume my shipping cost will be similar. Even if shipping is only $200, I'll choose a local sale and no shipping hassle over an extra $100. :-)

I'll keep this thread open through the weekend (Thanksgiving holiday and all that), at which time I'll contact the highest bidder (currently jtoomim @ 1.6).

What is the going rate for these nowadays?

I have absolutely no idea. That's why I started the thread, the going rate is the offers received, by definition. Grin
11  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Avalon 85+ GH/s on: November 28, 2013, 08:12:48 AM
I planned to sell this unit in September, but the offers fell through for various reasons. The miner works great and I'm bullish on BTC, but I'd rather hold coin than manage a miner.

Will sell for either BTC or fiat (USD).

Local pickup in San Francisco preferred, or shipping (international is fine) paid by buyer.

Can escrow for non-local sale.

A couple-a things:

1) MSC seems like a great idea!
2) The order book is crossed. There's a BUY 100@.25 and a SELL 100@.2.
3) I want to buy in. Is there a step-by-step guide to how to complete the transaction?

Asking price? Might save you some inconvenience if you post it to the thread...
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 16, 2013, 01:42:07 AM
I'm at a BTC meetup in Sunnyvale, where the Hashfast VP of Engineering is giving a talk right now.

This is admittedly rather time-sensitive, but if anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to ask 'em!
15  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 500x Avalon ASIC In Hand (Bay Area, California) on: October 02, 2013, 02:25:02 AM
This doesn't strike me as a very good deal.

.06 BTC * 500 chips = 30 BTC

500 chips * 280 MH/s = 140 GH/s

30 BTC * $127 (current USD/BTC on Bitstamp) = $3810

$3810 / 140 GH = ~$27/GH.

And that's just for chips. This is already a money loser before assembly + materials costs.
16  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Avalon batch 2, 85+ GH/s on: September 28, 2013, 02:21:21 AM
Selling an Avalon batch 2 unit. It works great, but it's a bit too loud for the room I'm keeping it in.

Willing to sell for either BTC or USD.

Local pickup in San Francisco preferred, or shipping (international is fine) paid by buyer.

Escrow through JohnK if needed.

Picture coming soon.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Overclocking Thread - Share Your Results and Tips for others on: August 20, 2013, 08:02:01 AM
I recently received a B2 3-module unit.

- What's the best I can do with the stock PSU, 325?
- What settings should I use? I'm currently on: --avalon-options 115200:24:10:d:355 --avalon-auto --avalon-freq 256-375 --avalon-temp 55
- If I'm upgrading my PSU, which model is most recommended?

18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: August 20, 2013, 06:22:08 AM
I recently purchased a batch 2 3-module. I've been running it for a couple of days and have some questions. I've done a bit of searching in this thread, and haven't been able to find definitive answers. I'm sure the answers are somewhere inside these 132 pages, so I apologize for adding to the clutter.

I'm currently using the following settings string: --avalon-options 115200:24:10:d:355 --avalon-auto --avalon-freq 256-375 --avalon-temp 55.

- Do I need to add a cutoff setting as well or make any other changes?
- Is the avalon-auto flag expected to "just work" and produce the best possible result (errors, temperature, etc)?
- How do I calculate my "true" hashrate, so I can compare against my reported hashrate in my mining pool?
- Are there any monitoring tools I can setup for my miner? I'd like to set it and forget it, and receive an email if it goes offline, stops mining, or has a significant drop in hashrate.
- Is there a way to upgrade the miner by adding a fourth module?
- Should I upgrade the stock PSU?

19  Other / Archival / Re: Butterfly Labs 500 GH mini-rig -- In Hand Now on: August 15, 2013, 07:03:34 PM
max 300btc if you want any kind of ROI on this

If looking JUST at BTC returns perhaps...

What other returns are you looking at? Serious question.

If you mean merge mining with Namecoin, I didn't think that was especially profitable. Are there any other uses for an ASIC miner like this or an Avalon when they're no longer BTC-profitable?

Coins sent earlier today on schedule.
