Litecoin is a brilliant investment if you want to lose money
Can you please explain to newbies why do you think so? Do you have any argument or this is just your opinion? If you scroll back you will find a lot posts of support to LTC and not only that, why is LTC still good investment, what can we expect, what can you do with it.. One liner post can only be considered as FUD attempt, and FUD is forbidden you know that? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0Well, do I really need to explain why scamcoin number1 with a sell by date of 2014 is not a good investment? No one in bitcoin likes litecoin, and no one outside of litecoin likes litecoin. Its own developers dont even like litecoin. No one likes litecoin apart from a few chinese bagholder whales who haven't read about Ethereum yet.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH?

Who are they? Banks? Banks wont be using Bitcoin, they want to destroy it as its a problem for them. So they want to create their own private blockchain-based technology. One of things they are considering for this is Ethereum.
If and when large companies start using "ethereum" , they will simply fork the code, add their own patents, and skip the nuisance of paying a high premium of buying into a wall of overpriced ETH. If Eth is merely smart contract fuel, than whats the point in paying a premium for this fuel when a wider audience would trust MSFTfuel/IBMfuel over VITALIKfuel? Maybe there is the first runner advantage? There are many bitcoin clones and offer many unique features, but bitcoin is still the No .1 Bitcoin only has first mover advantage because it offers a unique selling point as opposed to fiat where they can use regulatory arbitrage and it has billions of dollars of infrastructure securing it. Ether isn't a currency , but fuel.... The ethereum network value is in the following - 1) Code and apps - open source and can all be forked 2) PoW mining - Vitalik is going to fork it to a PoS variant removing this advantage 3) Established userbase - Still extremely small and not worth MSFT dumping billions to jumpstart 4) Developers - Not many , but any worthwhile can be poached directly without buying a single eth 5) Branding and trademarks- Insignificant an unknown by the mainstream vs MSFT/IBM/ect.. In other words, it would insane for MSFT or a bank to be buying eth rather than just forking it and using their own patents and branding. MSFT appears to be doing just that ... there has been no evidence that any large company is buying Ether , instead they are on the first stage of -- Embrace, Extend, Extinguish Maybe people are sick and tired of arrogant bitcoiners telling people what will happen in the future and it never coming to pass.

Yeah sure, with Jeanne d'Arc too. And the question is just that ETH is not a currency. But 99% of people buying ETH in mass don't understand it. Explain how I can't use ETH as a currency, I'm waiting..... Never said that. Re read me please. I said ETH was not a currency. Not that it can't be used this way. If tomorrow everyone agrees on the fact that coca botle caps worth 5$, they can use the caps as a curency. It doesn't mean it was the initial goal. I will shortly begin to accept ETH in the business that I run. So I will be living proof.

Ethereum is already more scalable than bitcoin.
Another troll who has no technological knowledge whatsoever and thus doesn't understand what he is commenting on. This is a technical thread. Those without technical knowledge should please go troll in their numerous ETH P&D threads. How can you FUD casper when you don't know how it will work because it hasn't been developed yet?

Trolls could sell turds as Snicker bars floating the swimming pool. Difference here is that speculators have no care whatsoever if the technology will actually work or not, because speculators are only chasing price (and the insiders can manipulate the price buying from themselves because they control the float, thus converting greater fools into cash flow for the Casper team to waste another $15 million down a rat hole). Thus trolls find it valuable to pollute the technology discussion with inane posts.
you have not explained in a coherent way why casper won't work. It's impossible because casper is not released yet so you have no idea how it will work. You are just an angry FUDer at this point.

Only the mentally infirm would be putting money in to XRP at the moment.
Only the mentally infirm respond with insults without any intellect whatsoever to back up their claims. What else can you do when the person you are responding to is literally dead wrong about everything

"Smart contracts are an interesting curiosity"
Lol. You know that satoshi nakamoto (real name Nick Szabo) writes extensively about smart contracts right?
Of course, I read it all. Even the parts where he writes "I am definitely not Satoshi". You got a use case you'd like to share? Sudoko solutions is kinda cute. There was a ethpyramid that was kinda cute too. So you are saying A. Satoshi Nakamoto is someone other than Nick Szabo B. Smart contracts, and therefore the whole of ethereum is somehow useless Well, a large amount of evidence points to Nick Szabo being Satoshi Nakamoto, this is proven with computer text analysis as well as a large and mounting pile of curcumstantial evidence. And the whole of cryptocurrency uses the idea of "smart contracts". So the idea can be applied not only to money as you are about to find out.

Ripple (not really but in name) financiers have done well in collecting talented developers, keeping them well fed and locked up and preventing them from doing anything useful for humanity. "Here's a big screen. Make some silly icons or something. We need a new deck for our next round." Y'all got fiatted. You want to be remembered for cutting costs on interbank accounting of counterfeitables? Or are you going to get out there and do something interesting?
BRUTALITY!
