281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption and it's future. on: April 22, 2016, 07:56:51 AM
Hey pals,
I would to like to know about bitcoin adoption in your cities and please let here know, If bitcoin adoption happens for worldwide transaction and business goods purchasing means what will happen?
Then what governments will do?

Bitcoin use is still very low here and not many bitcoiners. However, if bitcoin becomes a popular worldwide currency, local government is not going to let it go without getting tax from the use of it.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Ready! Bitcoin is about to get Millions of buyers coming in . . . on: April 22, 2016, 07:54:09 AM
This is great news, especially for Australians who can avoid GST in future using bitcoins.
283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reaches 20-month high as classic-coup dies on: April 21, 2016, 11:49:33 PM
Really 20-month high? It was around 21-Jun-14 about 20 months ago. The price was $600+.

We did briefly touched $500 in Nov-15. I think it should be 5-6 month high.

I guess 19 month high then, I just estimated from looking at chart. 5-6 months ago that was only very short, few hours or days at most so I dont count that.

I agree... but how can we be sure that the current price is going to stay longer than a few days?
284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent Price Bump on: April 21, 2016, 11:37:35 PM
I'm sure in the next 80 days the price will start to change a lot more than we have seen in the past 325 days.

I think this halving might have some impact on the price

See today's markets there was a good rise then the tail off..

http://prntscr.com/av8lju

I am hoping the rise is only starting and will continue for another few days to weeks...

286  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $435. Is it sustainable? on: April 21, 2016, 01:21:42 PM
Of course 435 is sustainable, I think 450 & 500 is coming and will be sustainable until July.

OP makes this thread is long enough. but it is very appropriate that today we touched $435 again. I also believe we could touch $500 when close to halving.

Yeah, what a coincidence, at $435+ today, I think it will be sustainable, we even reach $440+ and it still keeps on going... So probably this will lead to $500 sooner next month if it continue to move up day by day..

Ha... we are already at $444 and testing 2-month high of $448... Are we missing any good news? It doesn't seems to have any special events support the current up trend.

288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my bitcoins on: April 21, 2016, 01:04:17 PM
What you need to do is to avoid deleting anything... It seems like a sync issue to me. Get the public key and try an online block explorer to check the balance.
289  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin dropped to $1, what you do? on: April 21, 2016, 12:51:46 PM
I don't think Bitcoin will ever drop to $1.... Basically if a big flaw is found and bitcoin is rendered useless, it will drop to $0 without even get to $1... The coins will just worth as much as the coins in the testnet.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I use Bitcoin ??? on: April 21, 2016, 08:44:22 AM
To me, most cryptocurrencies are about the same. The part that attract me most is bitcoin's decentralized network. At the moment, the only cryptocurrency with the largest network is bitcoin. The so-called network effect is the strength of bitcoin.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not so fast... on: April 21, 2016, 08:40:56 AM
In theory, 21's ideas are brilliant and are something to look forward to...

However, by overcharging customer with a cheap computer, people will just feel cheated and marking it a company that focuses on fast profits, rather than a company that grows with bitcoin...
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ever missed the chance of getting bitcoin at cheaper price? on: April 21, 2016, 08:36:25 AM
Sigh... "if only I know" is really not going to help... Just forget about it and move on.

By the way, Ethereum's ether is $8.66 at the moment so maybe you can consider buying a few hundreds? Who knows?
293  Economy / Economics / Re: How much bitcoin did you earn per day and what kind of method did you use? on: April 21, 2016, 06:13:24 AM
Maybe you can try to join some of the signature campaign and contribute actively in this forum. However, at the moment the best way to obtain BTC is to get a normal job and convert cash into BTC. No other easier way.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trezor Vs Paper Wallet on: April 21, 2016, 04:41:02 AM
I still think paper wallets are quite good choice. A printer can be used for other purposes as well. To me, a computer without a printer is not complete.
295  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: April 21, 2016, 03:23:25 AM
It should remain in $400-$450 range for these few week, as I don't see any other reason for it to advance further (except for Jul halving). If the price drop suddenly, it should still above $400...
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving on: April 21, 2016, 02:42:33 AM
There are too many post on this topic.

Bitcoin reward halving is going to affect the "Supply", but other factors, such as increasing blocksize/hard/soft fork, will affect user confidence and affect the "Demand". It is going to be a complex equation. So just sit back relax and enjoy the ride.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc address to locate someone on: April 21, 2016, 02:39:14 AM
It is possible provided there are some output transactions involving the address- ie. people used the private key to transfer the coins out of the address. Otherwise, there is no way to know where the owner of the address is.

For example, there is no way you can track the owner of 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE. Clearly someone created it but no one has the private key to it and you will not know the location of the creator.
298  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever lost Bitcoin? on: April 18, 2016, 01:04:12 AM
I didn't lose a lot... Only 300 bits to a multisig address (3R1oj9xhSexb8nW6Q7T3hpP7h8Rzuxoq4Q) that I tried generate but forgot to record down all the keys and redemption script required to access the coins... Essentially a burned address- a lesson learnt.
299  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money transmitter and bitcoins on: April 17, 2016, 05:25:18 PM
Hi,I am a person who wants to start a business by selling bitcoins for paypal(I am aware of the risk and will only deal with people who are willing to identify their identities) and was wondering about the legal requirements for me to do so.I am starting out with 0.5 BTC so do I need to reach a certain capital to need a money transmitter license? What legal steps do I need to take for acquiring a money transmitter license in california? Where can I learn the laws of money transmitting and running a business? What about taxes? What legal steps do I need to take in order to run this business.Sorry if Im being disordered,I am in sort of a delusional mood for staying up too long. Thanks in advance!

By the way, may I knwo how do you handle paypal chargeback after your have sent the bitcoins? Is this a big issue for your business?
300  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: April 17, 2016, 05:22:24 PM
If I have 10 BTC, first I will keep about half in cold wallets.

I will set up a faucet to share some bits with people and donate 1-2 to Charity. The remaining will just stay in my hot wallet for spending whenever possible- but of course I will buy back to make sure the amount is not running low....

I guess 10 BTC is still not sufficient to allow my retirement yet...
