1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quitting your job to do bounty hunting as a full time job, is it the best? on: Today at 10:58:57 AM
You're right. It's terrible idea to quite your job and become full time bounty hunter. Bounties can give you some extra income, but it shouldn't be your main source of income. There are multiple reasons why. First, income from bounties is unstable. Sometimes you can earn nice money, but at the same time there are lot of scam projects and not successful ICO's where at ghe end you just get some worthless tokens. And being full time bounty hunter means that you're just polluting forum from multiple accounts by making low quality posts just to get paid. This is why Bitcointalk in such terrible state and theymos was forced to enforce restrictions for newcomers.
If you want to earn money by working in front of computer, maybe start to do something more serious than bounty - write articles, sell your skils like coding, design services and similar.

If it's just locked, and not banned, I think Global Moderator hilariousandco can unlock it.

3  Other / Meta / Re: Donations for Bitcointalk. on: Today at 10:17:06 AM
theymos multiple times said that currently forum don't need donations. They get enough revenue by selling ad slots. Also, there are more than enough BTC in forum reserves. And with new rank requirements Bitcointalk will get BTC from people who are buying Copper memberships.
As said above, you can donate less than 10 or 50 BTC if you want, you just wont get VIP or Donator then.
It's Bitcoin forum, why they would need to accept altcoins for donations? It's just extra hassle. And probably people would just dump their worthless tokens if forum will start to accept ERC20 donations Cheesy
4  Other / Meta / Re: Be Honest; What would you do If you are a high rank member and In this situatio? on: September 19, 2018, 11:51:19 PM
No wife - no problem. I don't know what I would in this situation because I don't have a wife.
Now, seriously. Maybe you can be angry at your husband, but I think that he doing right by not giving Merit to your account. Giving Merits to your family members, relatives and friends is just a Merit abuse. Why not to try get Merit in appropriate way - by making quality posts. It's not so difficult.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool £25 in btc to join on: September 19, 2018, 11:43:19 PM
Shitty performance on first week, now I'm at the bottom. But I'm not surprised because I made some risky predictions like draw between Real and Roma and Valencia vs Juve. As I see, almost all players had logical predictions on these matches and got max points. And offcourse - City. No words to describe them today.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 19, 2018, 11:39:25 PM
Ronaldo actions was dirty and unsportsmanlike, but I'm not sure that red card was really needed. Maybe it was enough to give yellow card.
And Valencia disappointed me. Despite that they had one player advantage almost whole game they still played bad.
Real - Roma match - what a dominance of Real, their players just enjoyed playing football. Just see what Asesnsio did - he made amazing dribble and no look shot - he was close to score goal of the season. Real don't feel lack of Ronaldo. And their newcomer Diaz is interesting player to watch and he already scored great goal in his first match.
The Man City game to me looked rigged, this is what I hate about football when a match is like the Man City game. People really need to wake up and see what is going on in these matches and when certain players are taken off etc... This is why I also stopped betting in CL matches because they all look fixed to me even the final was clearly fixed lol.
Oh really? If underdogs won when favorites performed bad, this is fixed game? Why City players would need to fix this game when they're literally a multi-millionaires?
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My life will change when there is a Merit on: September 19, 2018, 10:32:36 AM
Firstly, forum ≠ life. If Bitcointalk bounties is the most important thing in your life, that's bad. Bitcointalk isn't a workplace, you should find a real job and live a normal life as every normal people live.
What you should now? The answer is simple - make quality pists and earn Merit. Earning Merits isn't a rocket science, it's not so difficult...
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Donít worry too much about Merit on: September 19, 2018, 10:22:54 AM
Ok, but do we really need another thread about new rank requirements? I think there are already more than enough threads were made, why you just didn't posted this stuff in one of these threads? Or it's just an attempt to get Merit by praising this new system?
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should I do? All efforts are lost. on: September 19, 2018, 10:19:52 AM
Efforts? Really? Lol. You've made over 300 posts and still haven't earned any merit. I checked your posts and I only can see bounty reports and generic one liners in spam megathreads. This is what you're calling efforts? It seems that you're doing something wrong.
And it's just one Merit, is is so difficult to get it? You're saying that you lost motivation to strive. Really? Is it so difficult to make some quality posts? But if you came here only for money and this new requirement is to high for you, then we don't need members like you.
10  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: September 19, 2018, 09:51:21 AM
Just out of curiosity i'm trying to understand one thing. When I go to "Buy a copper membership" page the wallet address seems like it's unique only for my account, as there is no transaction history and it doesn't change with the time. Does this mean that every user has a unique wallet address "attached" to his account upon registration?

Yeah, every user have unique payment address. Not sure when it's generated - on signup or when user visit Copper membership page. But theymos don't recommend to reuse address blindly and sending payment without checking that your payment address are still same.
- Before you send each transaction, you should re-copy the appropriate address from the page. Do not save the address and use it far in the future, or blindly reuse it, even if it seems not to change.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 18, 2018, 09:04:22 PM
Liverpool - PSG - What a game with amazing finnish. Liverpool was brilliant, they dominated tonight and deserved to win. Draw would be very unfair score.
Monaco - Atletico. After bad performance in La Liga Atletico finally had good performance. But I have no idea why UEFA allowed to play in such awful pitch. C'mon, it's Champions league, not amateur sunday league...
And biggest surprise of today - Crvena Zvezda 0:0 Napoli. Didn't watched this game, but seems that Napoli weren't able to score against parked bus Cheesy
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 14-Sep-2018] on: September 18, 2018, 10:50:57 AM
Thank you bL4nkcode for your response. So if I understand it correctly, I can have my signature once I become JR. member but only with a limited number of characters. And if I purchase the copper rank I will also be able to include a picture in my signature (plus some other benefits)
Every rank has limited signatures, but limits are different for every rank. Jr. Members can wear a signatures, but without clickable links. Copper members can have links in their signatures. It's not possible to include picture in signature, no matter of your rank. It's bbcode, not image what you can see in my signature.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Search Bounties for newbies on: September 18, 2018, 10:45:55 AM
Op, this board belongs to Bounties board, I don't understand why you posted in Meta.
With these new rank requirements Newbies can't join signature bounties. I don't know, maybe some managers will decide to accept Copper members, but I hope not. I think that Newbies still can join social media and other campaigns which are done outside forum. But they don't have to spam on Bitcointalk to earn money anymore. Rules have changed  Cool
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: jr.member demoted list on: September 18, 2018, 10:37:43 AM
And what is point of such masterlist? Are planning to collect all these demoted users manually? I hope you know that there tens or hundred thousands of such members, there are no chance that all of them will post here. You simply can use detailed search to find all Newbies with activity >30.
Guys as we know there is 36 sources to collect merit for newbies and all other members so come down and give some patients to collect it
There are 120 Merit sources, if I'm not mistaken theymos recently added ~30 new Merit sources.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 18, 2018, 10:21:34 AM
Well today is the day. Cl is starting anyone want to predict who will win this years CL and EL maybe. I have some candidates but this year will be hard to guess. Only one is certain RM wont win this time and Barca as well. This time none of Spanish clubs will win it. Maybe this year could be finally for PSG or Juve. Dont want to rush but think it could be present surprise at the end.
Why do you think that Spanish team will not win this year? As aleays, Barca is is one of contenders to win a tittle, I don't even talk about Real, yeah they lost Ronaldo, but I don't think that we can understimate them. Also, PSG, Man City, Bayern, Liverpool and Juve are strong. Well, I hope that Real dominance will end and Catalan team will win finally after few bad seasons Cheesy
About Europa league I will mention Chelsea, Arsenal, Sevilla and some times which come from Cl group stage 3rd place.
16  Other / Meta / Re: One merit for worthy members! on: September 18, 2018, 10:02:03 AM
These two posts which you've linked here aren't bad, but I wont give you Merit. I'll explain why - as you said, you're bounty hunter and you're begging for Merit just because you want to continue earning from signature bounties. Money is only reason which keep you here. Obviously, you didn't came here for discussions or learn something. Almost all your posts is about bounties. Maybe start making quality posts in less spammy boards and maybe someone will give you Merit.

18  Other / Meta / Re: I have an idea to an even better merit change on: September 17, 2018, 11:08:04 PM
Maybe it's not a bad idea. There is quite many high ranked users who are just spamming on Bitcointalk and not deserved their rank. But let's be straight - biggest spamming problem was caused mainly by Newbies and Juniors. Just look at any spammy thread on Bitcointalk and compare number of shitposts made by Newbies/Juniors and higher ranked users.
But I wouldn't be against if 1 Merit would be required to enable signatures for all ranks. I just think that from Hero to Zeeo would be to strict Cheesy
19  Other / Meta / Re: Checking every single bitcointalk profile which has 1-2 merit. Shouldn't we? on: September 17, 2018, 10:57:11 PM
Yeah, today I also noticed so many users who got 1 Merit soon after new restrictions were imposed. It's not surprising.
It's just 1 Merit - it's almost impossible to prove Merit abuse in such cases. They will just get their Jr. Member rank back and nobody will notice it.
I'm happy about these new rank requirements, but it's also great news for Merit sellers.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Welcome to the Bitcointalk on: September 17, 2018, 10:32:09 PM
Good job, OP. But I think that we already have something similar made by Lauda long time ago. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0
The problem that mostly newbies just don't read these stickies. Probably they don't care about it, they are laze or they just don't know about these sticked topics.
I think it would be great to display such general information when new user sign up. Yeah, mostly people still will ignore this information, but maybe at least some of them will read it. And it already would be positive impact.
