@Lion BItcoin Shop:

Getting to 71 W is not impossible but achievable by Trixx and WattTool- that's what I used - just adjust the GPU voltage slider while watching GPU-Z  GPU Load, Memory controller load and GPU Power Draw. If PC froze on you, or memory controller load just droppeed ,  you hit the limit, so tweak accordingly
In fact you can go under 70W if you underclock more, but I set my target to 28 Mh/s with reasonable power draw.

Last, remember evey card is different from the other, even they are same brand/model/lot, so some may require less/more voltage .

@Lion BItcoin Shop and
@s3000s

You can find  sony87' original rom  here: https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/10299/470-nitro-4-gb-elpida-memory

Two things:
First 470's seem to have a hardlock on 2100 Mhz RAM -my Nitro cards behave like they could blast through that limit with ease.
Does anyone know how to remove the 2100 Mhz limit?

Second> Cards can push both to 31800 Mh/s with curent bios and higher tweaks, bit unstable tho, but I dont like the power draw on them  -unless  you have free electricity.

If  I could remove the 2100 Mhz hard limit on RAM than I could get even higher rate.
Till then, I'm undervolting/underclocking  for better rate with lowest power draw

Get low:

Next step: more tweaks less draw

Edit> last two cards are 470s

Any news on 2.9 release? Poloniex APi keys still not working in 2.8, and the looong wait is looooong  waiting for a fix in order to trade back there
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why I believe a beautiful and very bullish Bitcoin storm is forming on: February 02, 2015, 10:46:37 PM
Pretty much back to what it was before we ever bought BTC, and at the price it is even now, even better than when we started.

In other words you are completely underwater.
While it's not the optimum situation to be in it isn't highly unusual nor the end of hope for someone. There's many hundreds of thousands or millions of people underwater on their home investment and that is something that typically has to be paid off if they want to stay on the right path. This scenario is merely one where the underwater investment was already paid for back in time in full but just a little behind in valuation at the moment. Considering the untold many that have bought into this ballgame over the last year, it sounds like this particular case is pretty undeserving of using the 'completely underwater' terminology and is a rather mild one at worst.

Except that a house and land has value because people need homes and land to put them on. Bitcoin has no value, it's all purely gambling and speculating.

12  Economy / Speculation / Re: permabulls not only lost the control over this section-in fact they are extinct on: December 08, 2014, 07:18:07 PM
Bitcoin is a long option to a better world with infinite maturity and zero time value.

If a better world comes, it will be so valuable.
If a worse world comes instead, I think it will also be very valuable  Cheesy

I am holding.

What happened to Monero?

... Bitcoin is the single greatest development in payments since the credit card. There is nothing faster, cheaper, or more secure. ...

I'm tired of hearing the same tripe regurgitated.

-Bitcoin is tremendously slow.  You aren't new to this, I'm sure you know how long six confirms take.
A CC transaction takes seconds.
So much for "fast."

-A CC transaction costs the consumer zilch.  I also get to flyer miles as perks.  The argument "the CC fee is already a part of the price" is valid, but opens Bitcoin to an identical one--the miners are compensated for processing transactions with block rewards, currently over 10% BTC market cap per year.
So much for "cheap."

-More secure?  How much of Bitcoin's market cap was lost to theft/hacks/scams?  Start with Mt.Gox.
Bitcoin user has absolutely no recourse when his coin magically vanishes--due to his stupidity or maleficence of others.
CC, on the other hand, offers real buyer protection.
So much for "secure."

True, actually bitcoin is NOT the fastest , the cheapest or offer best anonimity

Total waste of time on this thread, unless you feel amused by low class profile troll.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar coming to an end on: December 08, 2014, 07:01:56 PM
I  do belive dollar bill  still represents the last best bastion of freedom,  in regard to anonimity -better than BTC-and there is a deliberate plan for its complete annihilation .I  embrace evolution but  bitcoin needs to evolve, if  our concern is -should be- anonimity, or switch to another coin that is already offering the required features.

Any plans on supporting Bitfinex or a chinese exchange? The reason  I ask  is cause of the low/no fees. I personally quit using  CAT for a while now, due of that
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: December 08, 2014, 06:30:47 PM
Just to spread the good news... even though its not big news, its big to me.

I successfully have accumulated 1 XMR by mining with my own Xeon 771-775 sticker-hacked ebay-built rigs on monerohash... after having learned enough linux (or copy and pasting code into terminals... can't tell you how many times I've killed a program by ctrl-c'ing in a damn terminal... btw, thank you all you nice linux people for putting terminal code on the interwebs so I can just copy-paste.. or copy-shift-insert, as the case may be).

and then to see it pop up on my wallet as my client was catching up to the network.

very satisfying. Yay. My very first self-mined cryptocurrency.

now if I could only snipe some 750 ti's.

Welcome, though you're kind'a late...

Is there any plan to add Bitfinex?
Also, could you modify CAT to  recheck  and submit order  no higher than 5 s instead of 40 s that is now? I think I read somewhere about that but not 100% sure if it is 40 s more or less. Thank you and keep up the good work!  Smiley
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Critical Levels - EW analysis on: October 09, 2014, 09:33:05 AM
False breakout or...?

..... It looks like a iv rising wedge, the impulsive behaviour is diverging which is not consistent with a hypothetical wave iii breakout. the price must stay under 360, and should not register any further highs before wave v comes. If we break a new high today above 354 then I would say yes breakout and buy.

Stunning accuracy; amazing!  Smiley

Graph after graph showing a fall to 260-280
stunning accuracy.

+1
 I call all this bullshit

I managed to sync ok after I deleted my old blockchain and used the official -30 days- old one on a windows machine.  I closed and restarted again just to check and it syncs ok.
