I don't give a benefit of the doubt to "speculators". These darknets are already accepting Bitcoin and some of them accept other alternatives too. A lot of the sheep investors who probably think Monero has some exclusive contract, like how businesses are either pepsi or coke.  Which alternatives? Dash was accepted for a moment by, forgot the name, Nuceuils? market? The market is gone now and dash support in darknet. |

if we watch on market about monero in two days ago, we see that the rate of monero is up to high until it reach about 0.0093 if am not wrong and then slowly its turn down until 0.0083 and many of my friends get stuck with the rate of 0.0085-0.0086. i hope its would be back normal in 0.0088 again or even its up again in 0.009  Its already at 85. Just be patient and HODL. |

The EF is digging its own grave. I just wait when they will switich to PoS. This will be a disasture, based on EF recent track record:
Involvment in DAO - failed
Soft fork - failed
Hard fork - failed
Selling ETC coins - failed
Dont need to be genious what will happen with PoS.

Yes, Vitalik and his team will be programming for ETC. Any work produced by them can and will be applied to ETC so long as it isn't code that censors transactions (ETC's primary criticism of ETH). Tone Vays explained this in the video by Chris Ellis posted above. This is a major reason why it is likely ETC will stay around and may potentially grow much bigger than it is today. The development team is ETH; it is not a rudderless ship as many claim. Give it time, and dapps and other development will come. |

Just curious what you think.
Can and/or should ETC stay as PoW, or switch to PoS when ETH does this.
My perosonal optinion is to stay PoW. But I don't know if there are any technical issues or problems preventing this.

Vitalik proposes a hard fork, big investors vote so they can get a bailout, people realize the scam that that is and ETC is born.

The HF was made only by vitalik and few his friends, who controlled hash rate.

I know https://jaxx.io/ is supporting ETH for android. Didn't try it by myself but possible it's a good solution for what you need. I have installed it on my android phone but there are not wallet for ethereum classic, there are wallet for ethereum,bitcoin and DAO only. jaxx devs said they wont be supporting etc. But as etc popularity grows, they will have not much choise as to support it. |

For mass market use - no. Too small. For small things - yes. I'm already paying for my vpn with monero directly. The primary aim of monero is privacy and anonymity. Thus, services that provide anonymity and privacy for its users would be first to accept monero, e.g., vpn companies, or private email companies, etc. |

Many ppl didnt like hf. hf happen only because vitalik, his friends and few miners were invested in dao, and wonted to get their investment back. This hf was made for all the wrong reasons.
etc is acctually what eth should be - running unstobable applications. this includes all the consequences of writing, and investing, into bugy contracts.
