We have been working non stop to deal with the attack on our coin by those who are intent on cracking our bot. It seems that providing a bot for .3 btc was not enough. Some people were determined to have it for free. There have been numerous reports of infections and malware in relation to the posted cracks. We encourage people to only use legitimate editions of Botzilla.

This forum had become one of the main areas for spreading the crack. We have attempted to keep it out of this thread with only limited success.  We have therefore decided to lock this thread until further notice. We will continue to work on our solution to the situation and the mobile bot development of the mobile platform, and will resume this thread when it can be a healthy environment.

With regard to people wanting us to comment on the group who is advertising cracks of BOT, we advise people to stay away from cracks. You risk everything you have by allowing that kind of element inside your security periphery. Clearly there is an attempt to influence the markets in conjunction with this. We will continue our work on making BOT the best trading tool out there. That’s our job, and that’s what we will continue to do.

If you are experiencing isolated difficulties with the new bot just hang tight a few hours. Henry and the API guys are getting some sleep and they will be in to work out any of the hiccups the new build is having as soon as they awaken.

Thanks for posting a not-so-impressive method of using local host. Just booting the bot in the browser would have done the same thing but - agreed - not so spectacular. "Injectors" and all that sort of thing.

Your efforts will get nowhere with Botzilla. Feel free to devote your attentions to Circ.

Update

As everyone is most likely aware, someone posted a method to «bypass» the BOT wallet 100 coin requirement and access Botzilla.

As many community members immediately pointed out, all this “bypass” did was to open the bot panel. This is possible for anyone to do by accessing the bot through the local host.  However no botting is possible.

In analyzing the situation we have identified an additional layer of security that we want to install in the Botzilla platform. This will require several days of work.  We know everyone is excited about the Botzilla and wants to continue using it during this time, so we have decide upon the following procedure – which will allow everyone to continue staking and botting while we make the desired   changes.

1)   Anyone who does not want to operate the bot can simply continue staking with the current wallet and earn the large DPOS rewards. Download the new wallet when it is ready.
2)   Those who wish to bot during the interim period:
           -   Download the new wallet from the link in the OP
           -   Make sure you have 100 coins in your CCEX account. This will keep your bot enabled.

That’s it!

If you are encountering a white screen on the Arb page, but all other functions are normal, try this fix:


Close the qt-client and wait a few seconds.
Open the folder C:\Users\
Double click on the one that is your username

Your path now should be something like,
C:\Users\Henry

so then go to
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Botcoin

and you should see a file named version.txt

Delete that file, and re-run the qt-client. Let us know if arbitrage is still not working after it re-loads.

My real name is irrelevant. My work speaks for itself.

We took it upon us to build a fully functioning bot that the average joe could buy for just .3 btc.  We did this. The people supported us.  The Botzilla pre-sale sold out immediately. So the people have also spoken.

You on the other hand have chosen to relentlessly pollute this thread, driven by some sort of frustration that has nothing to do with our Bot, or what we have brought to the people.

As promised, the trading suite and coin wallet are now ready for download. Moving your coins to the wallet as soon as possible allows you to benefit immediately from DPOS staking.

We will now begin focusing on our V2 development program. As you may have noticed, V2 will be largely centered around mobility features that will allow you to use Botzilla on the go via lightweight app-based interfaces backed up by cloud-based back-ends. In addition, our API development will evolve to include the ability to read group dynamics in market movements, allowing you to be always  one step ahead of the crowd. Our in-app Bot Buddy companion will help you become a better trader by suggesting adjustments to your trading strategies.

Installation Instructions:

Important: use the download link in the original OP. Do not download from any other link!

Step 1)  Download the installation package from the OP, unpack it and start up your wallet client (Botcoin QT). Make sure you allow the firewall exception when prompted.
Step 2)  Allow wallet to sync. Transfer your coins into your wallet (100 coins needed to enable the trading suite).
Step 3) Close and then restart your wallet. The botzilla menu item will now be enabled. Enjoy your bot!

Note:

• The orderbooks can take several moments to load after you start Botzilla.
• You must enter your API key for C-Cex for that market to display
• Always trade responsibly

Hello everyone. We want to thank everyone who took advantage of the BOT pre-sale and we look forward to getting Botzilla into everyone's hands.

Like everyone else, we did not anticipate the immediate sell-out of pre-sale on C-CEX.  We are pushing forward the compiling process as fast as we can and expect to have the wallet release enabled for download within the next 24 hrs. The bot will be fully operational at release, and packaged in the same download.

The devs will be focusing the following 12 - 24 hrs on ensuring stability and distribution, thereafter the focus will move towards handling any bug reports that may appear in initial bot operations.

Parallel to these processes we will be initiating the expansion of trading to Bittrex and other exchanges.

We encourage everyone to be staking coins once you have downloaded your wallets. Given the very high stake rate built into the coin this makes sense for all holders, large and small.

There is no beta. All testing was completed in August in closed trials. The release will be fully functional on all exchanges listed in the OP.

Our next planned update (V2) is approximately 30 - 40 days after release and will focus on expanding to mobile apps, as well as the several more trader / strategic functions listed in the OP.

Good questions. We have geared this bot to be able to handle the sort of scenarios your are describing. You will be able to take losses and design your own strategy. Anything less should not be considered a well designed bot.

There will be .3 btc of Botcoin (measured at the fixed initial offering price) required to enable the bot. So if you buy .9 btc in the inital offering, you can power 3 bots. Keep one for yourself, sell the other two later at whatever the floating market price for BOT is, take some profit and enjoy your free bot as well.

Anyone can download the bot at anytime: however it will not function without the minimum staking level of BOT.

The Botcoin Vision

Three months ago, when we originally started working on our bot, our goal was to build a “People’s Bot” - one that would be cheap to own and run.

Our approach was simple: we assembled a skilled group of coders and reverse engineered all the best bots in crypto (Haas, Circuits, Quatloo). Our definition of success was very specific, with four Goals:

Goal 1: Botzilla will be Cheap to own and use

We will run a 7 day public sale, and anyone can buy the bot for exactly that cost. Once you have the bot it is yours. Nobody can take it away from you. The bot will remain fully functional as long as you keep your .3 BTC stake worth of Botcoin in the wallet.


Goal 2: Botcoin’s Botzilla will be fully functional at release

We are tired of the endless coins start-ups that say “This is our ICO. We are raising money to do X. It’s not done yet, but it will be soon”.  We vowed we would not bring our coin to market until AFTER it was fully functional, tested, and could be demonstrated live in during the 7 day initial presale.

During the 7 day presale we will be posting a series of videos showing the BotCoin’s Botzilla bot in action. We think you will agree -  Botzilla is the fastest and most intuitive bot available today.

Goal 3: Rewarding investors

Cheap to own, packed with features, and easy to use - this is what sets Botcoin’s Botzilla above all other bots. But that’s not all. We have built a powerful reward mechanism in for early investors into the botcoin platform. Here is how it works:

  -  The initial sale will last 7 days. The ICO is capped at 120 btc. Each Botcoin Botzilla bot requires .3 btc worth of BotCoin to function (calculated at ICO price).  After these  7 days, all BotCoin not  
      sold will be burned.

   - This means the maximum number of bots that can be possibly sold during this time is 400.

This gives all community members an equal and unique opportunity. You can choose to pick up one or two extra copies of the bot as an investment before that 7 day period ends.  Once the public sale has ended, those bots bought by savvy investors during the seven day sale will form the the permanent and limited supply of bots ever available.  
(A small number of extra bots may emerge through staking in week 4. details in the next section.)

An example of investor reward:


After the sale is over, the market price of Botcoin will float. If for example, the market price of botcoin rises to 3x the initial offering, Newcomers would now need .9 btc worth of BOT to run Botzilla.

If you bought 2 ‘extra bots’ during the ICO, your original investment of .9 btc has now given you:
1) your own copy of Botzilla completely for free.
2) an additional 1.8 btc in profit - on top of your own bot being completely paid for.

Staking

After the 7 day sale is completed, the supply of Botcoin bots will be largely fixed. There is only one further issuance phase. The dpos system for Botcoin is designed to reward investors with significant bonuses beginning in the very first blocks. This period could theoretically increase the total number of bots by between 30 and 40. A select number of the largest holders would essentially be staking a limited number of extra copies of the bot into existence.
