1601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: AI and Brain Science on Equilibrium in Gambling Addicition and Sports Betting is on: September 07, 2024, 10:56:06 PM
How about you, do you think AI can help balance the gambling activity of a person without complicating things out?
I don't think I can really say anything about whether it could balance the gambling activity of a person without complicating it or not, but it'll be interesting to if they proceed with the studies/research and I am curious to know what the result would be. if their studies proved to be fruitful it could help a lot of people suffering from other mental illneses and not just the ones suffering from gamblign addiction.
1602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tired of gambling - whats your reason? and whats your baby step to quitting? on: September 07, 2024, 09:20:44 PM
Today i was surprised to see him, back to my house again saying he was watching YouTube and everywhere was filled with gambling videos and gambling. Please what should i do? Because i told him not quite long to completely delete his YouTube.
this reminded me of when I watched several videos related to gambling and for a week the ads that appeared on the videos I watch are mostly gambling ads. anyway, he can try and delete or avoid YouTube or he can create an account on YouTube and not watch any videos related to gambling so the videos that will be recommended to him and the ads won't be about gambling(though there is no guarantee that there won't be gambling ads on the videos he'll watch).
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which would you prefer, teaser or parlay bet? on: September 07, 2024, 08:33:20 PM
I'm curious, what exactly is a teaser bet? I do bet but I am not an avid sports bettor, though I know about parlay, it is my first time hearing about "teaser"? what exactly is it and what is the difference between teaser and parlay and why do you think it is more exciting than parlay?

sorry if I answered with another question but I am just curious.

Here's the full explaination of the teaser bet.

https://www.investopedia.com/teaser-bet-5217718

I understand that some aren't familiar with it since not every sportsbook has teaser bets. If I recall correctly, I made this kind of bet before when Nitrogen Sports was still popular. However, with the popular casinos now, I don't see this option. Maybe it's available on fiat bookies, but it's still worth discussing here.
thanks for the link, I think I get the gist of it. so basically it allows the gambler to make changes to their bet to lower the risk of their bet but in exchange the payout will be lower.

also, reading through the article you shared, I think I kind of understand why not many sportsbooks has this feature, I mean, this type of bet allows gamblers to adjust their bets to possibly lower the risk of losing in exchange of a lower payout which could potentially affect the casino's usual prfoit.
1604  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Elon Mask (Tesla) Biggest Crypto Givaway - My transfer stuck on: September 06, 2024, 11:30:30 PM
The youtube video was showing Elon Musk announcing this "giveaway". It was created using AI, most likely a fragment from one of his presentations and AI generated voice. Whatever you want to call this, the concept of a scam is probably a second oldest after the "oldest profession", but the way scammers use new technology is its "dark" side in my opinion.
Like with drugs, there is supply and demand, no demand - no supply, with scams - there are fools or naive (myself in this case) and crooks.
Just a comment, really not interested in debating this while leaking my wounds.
Based on your explanation, yep, that is most likely it, AI is involved in creating that video. it is not also the first time I've seen videos like that, some were even put as ads on youtube.

sorry that you became a victim of this type of scam but I hope this incident will act as a lesson to be more cautious when it comes to "quick money" schemes that you see online because majority(if not all) are a scam.

1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: which is easier to hit, parlay with x10 total odds or winning 10 times on 1.90? on: September 06, 2024, 09:00:57 PM
as long as it is not 10 consecutive wins, then it's an obvious pick that winning 10 times on 1.90 would be easier than parlay with x10 total odds. otherwise, there is not much difference between the two options you gave if the "winning 10 times on 1.90" needs to be consecutive.
1607  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam by csgo500 , 500casino on: September 06, 2024, 01:47:33 AM
I wanna proving my innocence in any way, can you explain what CG and AG are
they are a mediator that handles cases between players and casinos. what basically they do is hear both sides and then check the evidence presented to them by both parties and decide whether the evidence is sufficient enough to justify the action taken by the casino or not.

I suggest visiting their websites if you want to know more about them.
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] John Riel Casimero vs. Saul Sanchez - October 13 on: September 05, 2024, 11:29:26 PM
This fight is a make or break for Casimero if he lose here then he has no right to roast Inoue anymore but a strong showing will make him roast Inoue even more.
I agree that this fight could be a make-or-break for Casimero but that has nothing to do with him being able to roast Inoue or not(and to be honest even if he wins he doesn't really have the "right" to roast Inoue, especially how far Inoue has come), if he lost here this could further dampen his career and if he wins it could open new fights for him.
1609  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice with an RTP higher than 99% on: September 05, 2024, 10:40:38 PM
Crypto games was used to be 0.8% and they also have 0.4% house edge promotion for VIP members, but I'm not sure how about now.
this promotion is only for dice games(just in case someone thinks it's for every game). also, the last time I checked their VIP membership, their promotion for VIP members regarding house edge was 0.8% which is probably the lowest house edge the gamblers in their casino can get. as for the 0.4%, I don't remember reading it there the last time I checked so they probably have updated their VIP membership.

This casino is missing a lot of potential customers since Nigeria and Philippines are known for having a lot of gamblers. It’s unusual to see online casino that restricts our region since it only means that has a small scope for their legal operations.

I hope they can update their list, at least add Nigeria and Philippines asap if they want to compete with other casino.
I saw that they replied to my post and they mentioned that due to recent updates, they'll be able to allow gamblers from the Philippines to play in their casino. that being said, I am not sure if the new updates would also allow gamblers from Nigeria to be able to play in their casino, but perhaps they'll be able to cater to Nigerian gamblers soon.
1611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Draftking fined $19k for a player's $0 win after 20,000 spins on a slot game on: September 05, 2024, 08:30:28 PM
The lesson for the casino here was that it's cheap to make big mistakes.
yeah, which is quite disheartening and sad to know. this just shows that casinos can afford to make mistakes and not get heavily fined/punished for it. regulators really need to be harsher with their punishments, especially with these kinds of mistakes.

also, the way they handled the issue is quite problematic, reading through the article, it mentioned that they never informed the gamblers why the funds they gambled were returned and they also didn't notify the DCP of the issue until it was fixed more than a week later.
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Unexpected wins vs expected wins, which excites the most? on: September 04, 2024, 11:48:38 PM
This is why I've come to this conclusion that winnings that are unexpected are more exciting than winning that have been predetermined/expected.
I mean, it is a no brainer that unexpected wins are more exciting compared to the expected ones, but then again, the amount of the win matters(at least to me). for example, if I unexpectedly win but the amount is small, though I'd be surprised but I doub't I'll be excited, but if we compare an expected win with big amount and an unexpected win with huge amount I'd be more excited to the one I won unexpectedly.
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Draftking fined $19k for a player's $0 win after 20,000 spins on a slot game on: September 04, 2024, 11:06:54 PM
That's a bad Joke...

The casino had a bugged game that made the user lose $23k and they only get a $19k fine, even if they pay back the money to the user, that fine is a joke for a casino like that. And the game provider fine was a lesson, how can they cheat users and the consequence is to only pay some pennies.

What about the other users who were affected by the same game, let me guess they were the guys who paid the fine, lol.
the user didn't lose $23+k, the $23k was the total amount of all the players that lost to the bugged game and yeah, according to the article the casino refunded all the money gamblers who lost to the bugged game.

anyway, I agree that the $19k fine is a joke, that is basically nothing to the casino. they need to make sure the casino remembers that mistakes like that have huge consequences so the incident would not happen again.
1614  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcasino.io scammed me out of 12k legit win and locked my account on: September 04, 2024, 10:48:21 PM
I blocked this site. They scammed me 2000$ 2 years ago!
is this a new accusation coming from you? right now this post of yours is just a rant, as you know this board requires evidence to support the accuser's claim, so if you want people to take this post of yours seriously you should provide evidence to support your claim.

Australia, Austria, Comoros, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, UK, USA, all FATF blacklisted countries and/or any other jurisdictions deemed prohibited by the Anjouan Offshore Financial Authority.
Hi, if you don't mind, can you elaborate on what countries are restricted/blacklisted by AOFA(Anjouan Offshore Financial Authority) and FATF? I am from the Philippines and it isn't on the restricted countries listed on your casino, though I can access the website, I cannot do anything else, I can't even check the casino's Terms and Conditions.
1616  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it morally right for beggars to gamble? on: September 04, 2024, 06:02:47 PM
How will you feel if you see a beggar that you just gave your hard earned money using it to gamble?
I'll feel pity and disappointment, I would probably be more reluctant to give money after that, I mean, I expect them to use it more responsibly instead of using it to gamble, while I understand that gambling gives them a chance to win money or maybe win a jackpot, it would still be far more responsible to use the money they begged to more useful.
1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you're into boxing betting, would you bet on Mike Tyson or Jake Paul? on: September 03, 2024, 11:52:54 PM
So, what about you? Would you place your money on this exhibition match? If yes, would you place your money on Mike or Jake Huh
not interested in betting on this fight or any boxing exhibition fight.

the age difference is not really the main issue, it's the fact that Mike Tyson's health can be quite fragile(based on previous reports), the stress he will incur during the fight could aggravate the underlying health issues he has and could heavily affect him. anyway, Mike Tyson took the risk because of the money the fight could generate for him.
1618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Draftking fined $19k for a player's $0 win after 20,000 spins on a slot game on: September 03, 2024, 11:00:11 PM
Meanwhile my personal question is, are slot games really provably fair? If odds can be set to zero, and no one be able to win, is it not possible that some casinos might be using this means or method to cheat slot players off their hard earned money?
while the odds can be set to zero it doesn't mean that the game is not provably fair. you have to understand that provably fair ensures that you can prove that the result of a spin is truly random and not some predetermined outcome. anyway, sure, its could be possible that casinos might use this method to cheat but it still doesn't mean that the game is not provably fair.
1619  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: North Korea Aggressively Targeting Crypto Industry with Well-Disguised Social En on: September 03, 2024, 09:26:11 PM
this is why cybersecurity awareness is important, there are too many scams going around trying to be as sneaky as possible so knowing how to recognize them is the best way to protect yourself from it.

anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if people fall for it since there are a lot of desperate people looking for jobs.
1620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus that accept wager only in slot game is BS on: September 03, 2024, 08:16:24 PM
a lot of casinos(even the old ones) are using this kind of bonus. I mean, the point of bonuses is to attract gamblers, the casino layout the rules of the bonus and it is completely up to the gambler whether they'll bite or not. but yeah, bonuses like that are a trap but it is not surprising since the casino's goal is to make money so they make it as hard as possible for gamblers to earn profit from bonuses.
