3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Projected how to spend gambling profits while the game has not played yet? on: April 18, 2024, 07:00:44 PM
The worst ridiculous and ugliest moment I have ever encountered pertaining gambling is when a friend told me and few other friends that he was going to take responsibility of the bills for our weekend hangout.
He had us that confidence to be unfailingly.
Guess what???
It was actually from a game he booked against the weekend that had him that morale to had projected this weekend hangout amongst us and it was not that he had secured the money to be assured.

As a matter of fact, he was nowhere to be found all through the weekend and could not even take his calls because he felt messed up of himself for the false promises.
While time passes by, you can imagine how he narrated the stories and felt remorseful of being a d!ck head as the game failed him as predicted.

From what I understand with the story, I conclude that THE PROBLEM IS YOU AND NOT YOUR FRIEND.

You called that as worst and ridiculous moment of yours just because your friend didn't end up covering the supposed weekend hangout?

The nerve. If you have a weekend hangout then, of course, bring some money as well. Why end up being called that worst just because he didn't fulfill his promise? If your friend isn't able to show up then still, invite him to come along and share the bills instead to boost his confidence and overcome his embarrassment about what he did.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Illegal Books on: April 13, 2024, 09:09:54 AM
There are a plethora of illegal books, many run by college students, young adults and even teens. How secure are these websites??
What I am really asking is how easy (possible) would it be to hack the site and change a users balance without being detected??

There are ways to avoid such questions in the future and not put yourself into lots of related questions.

Just stick with famous and reputable bookies from now on. It might not be an assurance that you are 100% safe even using famous bookies but at least you will minimize the chance of being scammed by these sites as they are registered and centralized.

I wondered why there are users who still end up in illegal bookies despite several famous bookies today.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you depend on game predictions by supercomputers? on: April 09, 2024, 10:07:41 PM
Do you think these predictions are reliable?

It's just the same as the usual sports analyst predictions - nothing special.

Supercomputers or what you call them, have no way to predict what's the "exact" thing that will happen since there are game scenarios that can happen in actual games. What they give as a set of predictions is just a product of their followed algorithm.

I'd rather stick with a real sports analyst that discusses the details of their prediction.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The person who can’t control emotions in gambling will never earn money from it on: April 07, 2024, 05:49:14 PM
However, if a person gambles for fun and entertainment while having limits and a budget, they are usually under control and have good control over their emotions.

Didn't you know that "entertainment" is dangerous?

So much entertained by gambling that these people don't realize that they are now slowly reaching the level of gambler from casual, to regular, to heavy, and will end up addicted. Since they are gambling for fun therefore they want to continue that fun. Since it's gambling they will throw away money here just to make fun. I don't think these people will have good control over their emotions. Regardless of the purpose why they gambling, emotions are part of it, and no excuse. If these people who considered gambling for fun will win at some point, for sure they will continue. If they lose, for sure they will attempt to chase those losses. Not much different from those people who treat gambling for other purposes.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 07, 2024, 04:02:56 PM
Lakers only problem is their bench but their starter is pretty solid right now. If AD will be consistent on dominating the paint, They will have a good chance to have a good run in then playoffs.

What do you mean by "problem" there?

Just because most players on the Lakers bench aren't that famous or popular, they are considered a problem. These guys are solid role players too.

They are just not getting enough playing time, since for now, the priority is to focus mainly on starters as they are catching up a nice spot in the post-season to avoid the hassle of play-in tournament. But this entire season, this second squad, when being executed properly by their coach, are all playing well.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 07, 2024, 03:32:20 PM
In your case, how do you approach when you are on losing streak so badly on specific game. Does changing game works for you?

Changing the game works but depends on how I looked at the difficulty of winning at those games per game provider.

There are games that after you've won a big amount, won't give you another taste of it even if you stay loyal to that game. There are games providers like that. In the case of games that I already experienced winning but am currently, on a bad losing streak, I will try my best to stick with it for a long since I already experienced winning big several times there despite losses on the way. Like it testing my patience lol.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is lack of proof a problem for you or not? on: April 07, 2024, 03:15:20 PM
Do you think that if all online casinos can tender some proof of being licensed all it reduce scams in online gambling?

In terms of reducing scams or being minimized, yes it's a good start to see casinos being licensed.

Just think of it, are you willing to play in an online casino that doesn't show the legitimacy of your business? Yes, it might not be an assurance that they won't do some dirty work in the future but likely they won't consider doing that kind of bad stuff since the whole identity of the people running the site is exposed once they apply for a license.

Real people's feedback/review + licensed casinos = should be one of the priorities to look at before using a casino
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New New on: April 07, 2024, 03:05:36 PM
Hi there to all of you. I'm new here, but I have a question about sports and betting. Is there a reliable website for soccer predictions? If yes, what is it called?

There's no reliable prediction since it's a prediction lol. Prediction is the same as forecasting.

What you might be looking for is a sports review that analyzes a certain pre-match. Whatever sports review websites you can encounter should do the work but remember that what is stated on those websites is purely analytical and doesn't guarantee that it will happen 100%.

Sports betting isn't that easy.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: April 06, 2024, 11:47:01 PM
Do you think they’ll manage to hold their ground, or will we see a shift towards exclusively digital platforms?

From the way you asked that question, it's like physical casinos are now doomed because of the growth of online casinos.

How can land-based casinos manage to hold their ground? In the first place, such a question isn't appropriate to ask since land-based casinos are continuously growing and becoming bigger. Just look at how big and active those physical casinos are at those popular gambling havens around the world.

Either online or offline gambling, as long as its gambling, expect it to become more big!
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to advice other people against gambling for personal reasons like?? on: April 06, 2024, 10:34:54 PM
Do you guys think it's OK to advice other gamblers to quit gambling simply because of your own bad experience, does your bad experience mean that every other gambler out there will also have the same bad experience?
I will like some really useful discussions around this topic.

It's better to just give that person the benefit of the doubt and just let them do what they want. In the end, we are still the ones who will decide if we will continue to gamble or not despite lots of advice we will encounter. It might be annoying to hear advice from others saying that we should quit gambling just because they experienced worse but just take it as good advice.

Instead of making it a big deal, let's just understand the behavior of these people as they experienced really bad in gambling.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lately I've been thinking about this a lot. on: April 06, 2024, 10:16:41 PM
Many gamblers are placing bets on this fighter since its more reliable than you against the casino games, this is all about agility and skills, but the possibility of intent loss to make more money is also possible in this game, what's your take on this?

The movie scenario you mentioned is a product of fiction and might not likely be happening in reality. Since you referred to that UFC fighter as a reliable bet, it means the said fighter might be popular, therefore we can consider him as a big professional fighter.

If these professional players/athletes are involved in intentional loss, the cost of it is so huge, better than being a one-time millionaire just to win the high odds on the bookies. A player might faced sanction such as stripping the status of being a professional athlete with a lifetime ban on that sport, lose sponsorships, face a lawsuit, and many other worse things.

I doubt a professional fighter will be involved in that.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 31, 2024, 10:21:34 AM
Just imagine about what will happen if they could able to defeat Mavs and Wolves then continue their winning streak then provably with that they have huge chance to replace Warriors at 10 spot on standings. Although this is really though since that two teams is more stronger than them but who knows their hot streak will lift their confidence and they can able to surpass these two teams then can continue their winning streak.

I can't imagine that the Rockets will be able to pass the Mavericks. They met a couple of times this season and although the Rockets were able to defeat the Mavericks at one of those meetups, the Mavericks didn't have Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Daniel Gafford, and P.J. Washington in that game while the Rockets were playing at their full healthy lineup. The Timberwolves recently destroyed one of the top teams too, the Denver Nuggets, and they will be really a tough team to beat for the Rockets.

Confidence is not enough for the Rockets to win but as you said and I agree with, who knows?

If you are a risky bettor, you can put some extras betting on the Rockets' Moneyline and point spread. I'm sure the odds for them will be juicy.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: March 31, 2024, 09:30:47 AM
Do you have a sports that you keep betting on even though you don’t watch this sports live or you don’t know the full specifications of this game?

Everytime I have spared funds after placing a bet on my preferred match, those remaining funds are risks on a football match parlay.

Mostly on football games that I don't even know or am familiar with, and my parlay is composed of several underdog odds and draw odds. Just a random pick as personally, I don't watch football games as it's not hyped here in our country. Til now, I haven't managed yet to hit my parlay bets as I understand that it's hard to win it all. Sometimes out of 6 bets, only 3-4 were being predicted correctly and no improvement til now. Cheesy Not serious about that so it's fine.

Kyrie is a good player, noone can deny that. He's just not really a team player IMO.

You are right, the Kyrie we have known since then is more on solo play.

But here at the Dallas Mavericks, many have doubted that Kyrie isn't fit with Luka since they are both ISO players. I'm one of those doubters and want Kyrie to be traded instead as I think he will just destroy the chemistry of the Mavericks. But that was all changed and I think Luka gives way as a playmaker for Kyrie. Since teams knew that Kyrie always acted solo on most plays, he was sometimes doubled or tripled on defense, and that made other scorers of the Mavericks always free at the perimeter.

That's why it didn't work with Lebron for too long, didn't work with KD,

There is a personal issue between Lebron James and Kyrie Irving that's why the latter asked for a trade. But before that, their Cleveland Cavaliers championship year is great proof that if LBJ and Kyrie work together as a team, they are a threat.

He also had personal issues with the Brooklyn Nets (a crybaby lol) before that's why he didn't work well with Kevin Durant back then. Then later on, Durant also had an issue with the management there and the rest is history.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the #1 rule you live by in sports betting? on: March 31, 2024, 08:27:10 AM
Don't jump into betting on random matches that we are not familiar with.

I'm sure lots of bettors are doing that because they saw someone getting profits from it. Maybe a few times we can insert betting on random matches but don't make it a habit. It's still comfortable to bet our money on a match that we know and are familiar with as our knowledge there can be used to make a good analysis. It's also more fun to watch our favorite team while having an active betting on them.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 31, 2024, 08:13:40 AM
Then I have all sorts of thoughts blaming casino, like do they manipulate the result of the game when user goes all in. I am sure they are all fair, it's just that the possibility of losing the game may be minimal but it's never 0.

We can't call it gambling now if the winning percentage is high, either you go all-in or not. There's no manipulation but rather, the system was designed to give users more losses than wins and if you hit that big win, then you are lucky! You can't expect that luck is always on our side especially playing a luck-based game like Hi-Lo.

Just give it a time and you might hit that big win someday.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 30, 2024, 10:32:57 PM
The Dallas Mavericks are really impressive in their recent games.

Last season, many speculated that Kyrie Irving was not fit for the Dallas Mavericks but that all changed this season.

It's also noticeable that Kyrie Irving has many dunks established this season which is unusual to him. I want to see the team reaching the Finals.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll: Games of sSkill or Games of Luck on: March 30, 2024, 10:00:57 PM
I know how to play some skill games like card games (pusoy dos, poker, lucky 9), sports betting, and some PVP games.

As well, I also hooked up on games of luck especially playing slots with my favorite providers Pragmatic Play and FC.

I don't have to pick one over one because both are interesting to play. There are also differences in winning rewards as in luck games, you can expect huge multipliers which is hard to achieve in skill games although of course pure luck is needed to hit that.
