1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is this video card? on: July 04, 2022, 08:45:47 PM
Continue to update.
RTX 4090, AD102-300-A1, 16384FP32, 384bit 21Gbps 24G GDDR6X, 450W, base 2235 boost 2520 actual max >2750;
RTX 4080, AD103-300-A1, 10240FP32, 256bit 21Gbps 16G GDDR6X, 420W,
RTX 4070, AD104-275-Kx(x is a number)-A1, 7168FP32, 160bit 18Gbps 10G GDDR6, 300W.

The only one to be bought for me is Rtx 4070 and that if it has a good price, the Gddr6 memory will allow not that much of overheating and fine tuning its clocks for mining I think we can easily be sure this card to reach near 85-100 Mhsh for just 180-200 watt of power consumption making it one of the most efficient cards, just like the Rtx 3060 ti is the best so far in terms of efficiency.

As for the other two,no matter if they will have a better hash rate dealing with Gddr6x memory and those power consumption is asking for trouble, not finding those interesting for mining unless you live in Alaska or some other cool place.
2  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: July 04, 2022, 08:29:34 PM
then it could really able to sustain which is something that could really patch it up.

They are confident on prolonging this one without any help or even lots of boycotts and sanctions been happening.
Even after lots of sanctions and boycott Russia is able to stand strong alone.
It is not an easy task to defeat Russia, they are strong, Ruthless and have power to defend themselves economically, strategically and politically.
Cutting relationships with Russia is like cutting your life line.

They think they are that strong, the reality is that they defaulted on their debt, they cannot win in Ukraine except temporarily as the new long range weapons delivered in mass from many other countries are ready to go to the front line and defeat them from the temporary occupied territories.Their population is suffering and the suffering will continue for long to come, this all because of one man ego and many indoctrinated people there following what he is saying,Russia has achieved nothing so far except defeating itself economically in quite a big way,its military is losing personnel and military weapons from all times every day,so it would take time for them to rebuild, but it would be difficult because the west has imposed huge sanctions on them in chips and other goods making this recovery impossible. On top of that Putin got exactly the opposite of what he wanted,he wanted Ukraine and neighbors not in NATO,he is going to share a 1300 Km long border with Finland who will join NATO.

What has Russia achieved, absolutely nothing beside total destruction of its economy so far.The sanctions are already working,Russia is becoming weaker each day so the boycott is functioning perfectly.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1080Ti ETH hash miner 2022 edition on: July 04, 2022, 01:54:45 PM
I used to run my 1080ti on NBminer with strap 1 and older drivers (460.91.03)

40,6 MH and 150W, MSI card with Micron memory

These days cards like this are much better on some core intensive algos then on memory algos especially on summer days  Grin

Mine is suffering at 38.9 Mhsh because I moved it in a warmer place and now the temperatures here are like near 40 degree Celsius so I am happy with that.Running newest drivers for this card and running it with Phoenixminer 5.9c,strangely enough it crashes with a lot of other miners except this one.I run it at 171w and 71% power limit.Never again buying such cards, now that prices are crashing,we should all buy cold cards as for 2022 this card was an option only when the prices of the new cards were extremely expensive, now that is not the case anymore I would prefer Rx 6600/6700 or Rtx 2060 Super over this anytime.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: July 04, 2022, 01:24:58 PM
Receiving such a huge amount of money which is unexpected is too alarming. He should double-check it in the first place or question it but it's his fault for using it to gamble intentionally.
He really meant to spend it and he might actually have an idea that it was sent to him by mistake so he gambled it right away.
Mistakes like that happen all the time, it is very common to see stories of people receiving millions of dollars into their accounts out of nowhere, and most of the time what you see is that the people inform of the error and then it is corrected quickly by the bank without any issue, the difference is that this person saw that amount of money in his account and did not asked any questions and immediately assumed that money to be his, and now he is paying the consequences of such a dumb mistake.

That happens in the FIAT world because I have not read any story yet that says somebody by mistake received millions of dollars in crypto. That is just another flaw that is put to spotlight from the banking system compared to the decentralized nature of crypto. In crypto errors do not happen because everyone is in charge of his own money by real while keeping money in the bank, means that third parties are keeping your money and they are prone to errors and unauthorized access.

This makes me think why many people see crypto scary when in fact we should be scared from the banking slavery system.

5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 04, 2022, 12:15:07 PM
After this experience I believe gambling is for the big bag holders, if you're in urge of making a win. Very much disappointed, because it is the last few dollars I had as a cryptocurrency holding. If I had more funds I wouldn't have encountered this big loss. Martingale once again a failed strategy when you don't have big bag of money.

How do you know that if you have invested more in gambling you will have won ? Gambling is all about luck and the winning in gambling is only because of the luck. There are people who invest a little amount in gambling and and end up winning a jackpot while there are other players who uses thier life savings and end up losing everything.

I have to disagree with this statement for state multi million jackpots who are for the moment as far as I know up to 100 Million dollars only in Las Vegas,Nevada and rarely I have seen someone to hit the jackpot at their first play or in their initial sessions.I remember well a couple that used to play every day slots in order to get the jackpot and change their lives forever, yet they did manage to win but it was when they were old and they didn't need a lot of money in their life,it was exactly 45 years later that they hit more than 70 mln dollars jackpot.

For playing slots online and winning jackpots there during your first play or initial sessions can very well be possible as slots online behave differently and don't offer that kind of extreme money jackpots.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Belgian Jupiler league 22/23 - discussion on: July 04, 2022, 11:16:11 AM
Jupiler league is nearing next season, probably first to start in July, due to World cup in Qatar and teams are gearing up for next season

Antwerp trashed Mechelen in friendly match 4:0, and they will probably be most relevant competition to Brugge in new season, with few incomers - Janssen coming from Monterrey, Valencia from Indepediente and Scott from Bayern second team

no notable in players, but few left league, such as Bayo to Bologna, from Charleroi and Theate to Empoli, from Oostende, and Gent is shopping from smaller clubs, Cuypers from Mechelen

I don't see any real contention in this league,it will be either Brugge or Anderlecht but most likely Brugge as they have the best team compared to many others and even if they don't play well enough as they are used to play in Champions League against much stronger teams like Real Madrid and other strong ones, they still can win their domestic league even when they play not at full power.

Of course I would like to see teams like Antwerp to be contenders and to win the league but every time I have bet on teams other than Brugge and Anderlecht in this league the majority of the times I have lost my bets.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️🏁 FORMULA 1 2022 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: July 04, 2022, 10:30:11 AM
It was a really unbelievable race! The first lap was really horrifying as there was a huge accident. Zhou's car just tumbled and dragged out of the track for some time. It was a really huge accident but I'm glad to hear that he is okay now. When it comes to the race this accident affected so many drivers badly too. A few drivers were out of the race at the beginning already. Verstappen had a really bad day because of some problems. It was the same for Leclerc too but it was Ferrari's fault. Because I believe they should have called him to pit instead of Sainz. The opposite happened and Leclerc was just finished after that. Congrats to Sainz for his first ever victory in F1 and Hamilton also did great today by being on the podium.

Ferrari has been in a consistent run to screw Leclerc races,in the events that he has no power failure or transmission unit problems it is Ferrari that gets read to screw his race.He was fighting for the Championship alone before this race as now Sainz is in the race too although somewhat distant in points mathematically he is there,so they should have pitted Leclerc I agree with you,in normal conditions with the same type of tires I mean he was doing much better lap times than Sainz so yes it was Ferrari fault that screw his race.

Oh, that is painful. Sometimes Martingale looks great and gives confidence to the gambler, but in other times it looks a nightmare! Sadly i lost my signature weekly earnings as well last week on diamonds' game and dice right after, in an attempt to recover what I lost previously, also applying Martingale. The worst moment was to lose 3x in a roll with more or less 64% winning chance and then my balance was practically entirely gone.

It seems too much confidence is also a big issue for gamblers...

That can be devastating to believe that you are going to get back your losses.I also have lost several times my complete weekly signature earnings and we know because we are in the same signature that the payout here is one of the best, most of the time surpassing that 100 USD mark.I have done so because I believed deep down in me that the slot machine will give the bonus round so I kept increasing the bet, somewhat of a Martingale system but of course not the same as in dice or roulette and I ended up losing everything.Luckily from quite some weeks now I am able to have great self control and either lose only 10-20 dollars and quit or if I have luck withdraw a good amount surplus to the signature earnings.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: July 04, 2022, 09:18:20 AM
a very crazy week, a few days ago only get few wins, but these 2 days i'm loss more than the win i'm gained, of course this is common issue. I think I'm really addicted to this game. Need to get rid of the habit of wanting to "get back my initial" when I lose. Funding always adds to losses, not even wins. already getting bored with slots, have to thinking twice before wanting to play again, considering my emotions are always "hot" when I lose.

You should follow my example as I used to feel the same rage and sadness emotions in the same time when losing like you.To not fall anymore for this I only play like 100 USD weekly, lost or won I don't care much,I play my preferred slot and last time around I even got a 770x multiplier so I was happy,I am planning to play again usually I play Tuesdays/Wednesdays and hopefully one time I will get that x10000 that I am seeking from a lot of time. However I never add new funds once my 100 is lost,is lost, time to move on and be prepared for the next session one week later.

What a race yesterday, even if the Halo is ugly, it probably saved Zhou's life yesterday.

About the race itself, I'm very happy that Sainz celebrated his first victory after his first pole position. For Leclerc a pity but with the old tires you can not sufficiently defend. Also an excellent race by Perez and Verstappen has done damage control. The world championship still remains exciting, even if Verstappen has a comfortable lead, but the world championship still lasts a long time.

The halo has already saved the life of Hamilton before in the crash with Verstappen a couple of years ago when the Verstappen car stopped right ahead of Lewis head. That was a scary moment, and yesterday too it was because of the halo as we saw the car to make a lot of meters with the driver upside down and then jumping off the fence, scary moment. To think that most of the drivers were against it when it was implemented in the year 2016 if I recall correctly.

Yesterday race although started boring it immediately became interesting for different events that happened, but overall Redbull remains the car to be beaten no matter good gains by Mercedes.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 04, 2022, 08:18:48 AM

That depends on your crave, if you're totally satisfied with gambling with play money then you're good at it. But it's true that if you're not satisfied and you want to gamble for real, it's just going to increase your desire to gamble more with real money.
There's no sense that you hit the jackpot but it's just play money and you want thrilling reality if that's a real money that's good to be cashed out.
Even though this really depends on everyone's thinking but still I still feel that no one will be satisfied with this even though it could be 1:100 or maybe even more because in essence there is a special pleasure in gambling that is not something that can be obtained from money toys there.
Even if we win in large numbers it still will not provide pleasure and this only exacerbates the ambition of the addict.

That is the number one factor why this alternative does not work.A gambler even if he hits the maximum pay line from a slot machine for example when not playing with real money does not feel any different emotion or the adrenaline that he would have felt if that maximum pay line were to be hit in a real money environment.I know a lot of my colleagues who try to quit gambling by playing demo games of their favorite slot but so far no one of them has been able to quit gambling, they still play with real money so the alternative does not work.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Finding value bets on: July 04, 2022, 07:35:30 AM
Last night, Djokovic, one of the best tennis players on grass out there (potentially he is the favorite to win in Wimbledon) - had odds of 1.25 at peak against Timmy, after Timmy won one set.
Would you see that 1.25 as a value bet or not?

What if a tennis player in Wimbledon or some other big tournament, quickly goes 40-0 and you have him @ 1.10 to win the game (not the match, just that 40-0 game) - can this be a value bet?

What about a basketball match, the total line is 180.5 and the game in live goes 150.5 - is it worth taking the "over" because the line has dropped 30 points below the original line?

How do you define value in general?

If it were in another sport maybe I would see it as a value bet but in tennis I don't see it as a value bet because there are only two players fighting against each other and the physical form here is the thing that matter the most beside the undisputed talent of course.

In such a delicate event anything can happen, like a damage to the ankle which is highly likely in a tennis game that is why I would not put a lot of money on this and I don't find it a value bet.I would find it a value bet if I was sure no physical damage will happen to Djokovic during the game, then surely this can be a value bet.

Live bets are always difficult to get that is why gambling houses have implemented them in a huge majority.I don't know about basketball, difficult also to predict.

@all you Liverpool supporters here

What do you say about Klopp contradictory statements? I am now writing from my head so I am sorry if I misquoted but the gist should be correct.

Klopp when Pep buys Grealish, "We will never pay 100M for the player", buys Nunez for 100M  Grin

Klopp about contract wage, "We will never break our wage structure ", Salah signs new deal and breaks it with something to spare  Grin

Don't get me wrong, I still think they did the right thing and it is difficult, if not impossible, to fight with City without spending those amounts but it is funny how much je changed narrative in one year.

If they let Salah go by not offering that wage he wanted then Liverpool would have been in big trouble fighting for the title,Salah is one of the key players and yes they absolutely did the right thing to offer that kind of wage about 400.000 Sterlings weekly for Salah, something never done before at Liverpool if I recall correctly.

That is the only way they can keep hopes up to fight for the title, their overall structure is still great and a Championship winning one even with the move of Mane to Bayern Munchen. They need to just do one thing better this upcoming season and that is to not lose points with weaker teams.

I checked all the user ID-s and their ticket numbers but I don't understand how the winning numbers are decided although I read the section in the website of which describes the provably fair lottery, however in the text file I didn't see why one of those numbers was a winning one or at least I didn't understood it well.

It would be nice in the text file to add a description with the winning numbers so people who don't understand it from the actual structure can see which of the numbers was a winning one.Just a suggestion.

Based on the provably fair explanation page, it should be fairly simple. Regardless of the user IDs, having more tickets means more numbers covered for the holders. Just that they're grouped together in ascending/ descending order rather than scattered like a typical lottery.

For instance, if I have 10,000 tickets, my winning range would be from 1 - 9,999. Then another user has 8,000 tickets so that means 10,000 - 7,999 for him or her.

Assuming I win the first prize, winning number is 3,500. If the next winning number is 7,976, then it gets rerolled because I can't win for the second time.

Yes. The text file is just assigning ticket numbers to each user and the block height that the hash will be used to do the draw. It can't have "a description with the winning numbers" because the winning numbers haven't been drawn yet. What you have to do is wait for that block to be mined and then insert into  (STRING1) "[SERVER SEED]:[BLOCK HASH]:[WINNING POSITION]" (server seed is on the page all week). Put STRING1 a SHA256 hash generator and use the first 8 characters of that hash as STRING2. Convert that from hex to decimal, multiply by the total number of tickets -1 and divide by 4,294,967,295. Then go back to the ticket file and see which user has that ticket number.

Thanks for the explanation as I was seeing the text file and wondering where the hell are these winning numbers and made me think. Now it is clear what I have to do and to check which number has each user,I like clear in detail explanation like this one which everyone can understand.

In this last round I saw that some people with a big amount of tickets compared to the previous one won something and this is encouraging for people who like to have a lot or as a minimum a decent amount of tickets.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Types of Bonuses Offered by Online Casinos on: July 03, 2022, 09:22:29 PM
Bonuses might seem like the best part of a casino, but they're not. Bonuses are very misleading if you don't consider the casino's entire history and reputation, So before you sign up for any online casino, you should ask yourself some important questions and take into consideration the long history of the casinos they are about to sign up for.

Bonus is just an incentive to keep you playing at that casino, most reputable casinos offer you tiers to level up and the more you play the more you level up the better your bonus is.However they are not anything that can make a difference for your gambling session because they don't make you win, bonus is just a small amount given to you for your efforts and the money spent in the casino. One casino I used to play a couple of years ago offered like money to bet or a certain number of free spins to your favorite slot if you played long enough to pass the tiers.

If you want to win big,you need only one thing,a huge amount of luck and this amount of luck 99.99% of the gamblers do not have found it,at least yet.

Sainz was the slower of the top 4 drivers of the day and he manage to win the race.

Disaster Ferrari with Leclerc, he was faster than Sainz with a damaged car and they failed the call for the pit box.

Sainz deserved the win today, but Ferrari has been screwing everything consistently in these last 6 races for Leclerc, sometimes problems with the engine, sometime with the gear box and most of the times because of Ferrari team not making up their mind quickly when needed to and penalizing Leclerc. In the pit stop through the Safety Car Ferrari should have called both drivers even if it meant for one of them to lose the lead, all was to play after the restart,Leclerc would be in the same condition as with the other drivers who changed tires to the soft ones.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Eth 2.0 can be delayed to 2024... on: July 03, 2022, 08:15:51 PM
Eth will stabilize and go up in price after POS, simply because there will be smaller amount of coins produced daily, burn process will still cause deflation, staked eth will remove some coins from daily usage etc....
POS will displace small people from the system, game has become to big for small guys if you don't count in staking pools.

Price correction will come eventually, how long will it take? probably few years.

You should know that most of the PoS coins have failed miserably before and what does Ethereum have beside these others that it will continue to be successful after moving to PoS,nothing. Therefore if Ethereum moves to PoS I give it a few months only before it is completely forgotten from the map of crypto, the fact that Ethereum is so successful beside the problems it solves it is a PoW coin which a lot and I mean a lot of people are mining daily making it as famous as it is.One move away from such system is destined to go bankrupt and fail.
Most of PoS coins you saw already shit from the beginning. Some transit from PoW to PoS because they are already from their last leg. It's all thanks to the 2017 bull run that PoW coins or every coins got boosted so people think they were great and PoS was the problem. Big nope.
Can anyone here show me a great GPU PoW coin that is at the top10 in CMC other than ETH? How about top20? Even top30? See how GPU PoW was now at the last leg except ETH which is also soon to ditch it?

Before Ethereum there was Litecoin which was a GPU mineable coin at that time, precisely in 2015.This is to show that always in history there has been a top PoW coin leading and then every other type of coins followed,at least this is how I read it.

Anyway so far PoW coins have always been the better ones with a much larger market share as long as I know it is still Bitcoin and Ethereum the two big ones which have the greatest market share compared to almost all other coins,I doubt this will change any time soon, let alone if it happens because of a PoS coin.

Sainz! Odds 17.11! Todayís F1 GP on Silverstone circuit gives huge huge winnings to people who believed in Sainz. He kept the 1st place from Q and became (surprising?) winner. I placed some not-so-big amount on his team partner and I had slightly bigger hope for Verstappen, but at the end it seems we cannot forget that Ferrari has 2 drivers.
I wonder if that winning will have any impact on F1 bets in the upcoming weeks. Verstappen was 6 th, and finally not bad Hamiltonís result.

Ferrari is looking in good shape although I must admit during the race Mercedes had the better pace but Sainz since the fight for the win in Canada had a great morale boost which was further boosted by the pole and it was in this 150 race of his that he finally got the win.As he said in the team radio message, wonderful to win my first race at my 150th race and to win with a team like Ferrari I cannot express in words how it feels.

The odd 17.11 are really exaggerated I think for any driver for Redbull,Ferrari and Mercedes as these teams are the strongest in the season so far so max an odd like 8 would be far more than enough.

Congrats darxiaomi on taking this week's Yellow Cap!

I would say big congrats to him as I checked his predictions and I personally would never put Russell in first place and Hamilton for the fastest lap which he luckily did in the last lap, that fastest lap of Hamilton gave him the yellow cap,a well deserved one for this round.

Personally I am still happy continuing my strike from almost 5 races now that I am either 2nd or 3rd in these last 5 races,I hope I continue to do so although not that much of position gains are possible here in a pool of few participants like this one.

Great to see that Verstappen finally is not going to win another grand prix, he is outside at the moment with a broken car !

I really hope for Sainz and Leclerc, but Hamilton is really impressionant today, he has a speed that we've never seen until today  Shocked

I am happy for Sainz after he won after 150 races in F1 and he was able to turn that pole position yesterday in a win today.Horrible team orders and strategy as always from Ferrari, based only on that I count them out for winning this Championship, they tried to tell Sainz to not attack Leclerc and that would have been really bad if Carlos listened to them. While it was a nice change to see someone else win,the fact that Redbull needs a broken car not to win says a lot about the upcoming of this F1 season which I think it will be dominated by them,it was only luck that he hit something with his car so he was completely out.Perez showed another time from last to second that this car is really fast. The best thing I saw Hamilton making faster laps than anyone else.
