Economy / Economics / Re: this makes a huge impact on the economy.

People on monthly salaries often spend a lot when they first get paid due to a phenomenon known as "income effect." When people receive their paychecks they experience an increase in available funds which can lead to a temporary feeling of financial abundance. This may trigger a desire to reward themselves or indulge in immediate gratification by splurging on purchases they have been delaying. There might be pressing financial obligations or bills that need to be addressed resulting in a significant portion of the paycheck being allocated towards necessary expenses. The combination of these factors can contribute to a higher level of spending during the initial period after receiving a monthly salary.

Economy / Economics / Re: Is stagflatiotn upcoming?
|
on: November 21, 2023, 08:59:13 AM
|
It’s really difficult to say & almost impossible to confidently answer. Stagflation is a rare and undesirable situation where an economy experiences slow growth, high unemployment & high inflation. Some economists have warned that stagflation might happen soon in some countries due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain disruptions & rising energy prices plus the two wars we have going on. Others say that stagflation is unlikely because inflation is expected to be transitory & growth will rebound.

Economy / Economics / Re: Imaginary Future

Do you ever feel like that being after saving or investing for future you forget to live in the present? You don't buy the things you want to or don't go after experiences you want because you'd rather save/invest for future instead.
All of the time to be honest. I’ve been denying myself some luxuries & enjoyable things to buy Bitcoin for so long. I think sometimes life is too short & I should just live for the here & now but it’s tough you know. I try to make a better future for myself by investing & being frugal but it’s no fun. It worked out good for me so far but possibly I should learn to let go a little perhaps.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins
|
on: November 18, 2023, 07:27:29 PM
|
Bitcoin is King & most of the altcoins are absolute crap. Most altcoins have no utility, no future & no real world use case. Bitcoin is the only one that will last for the long term, Ethereum is potentially an OK buy but the rest of them are a total lottery. Why put your wealth in a centralised coin with so many points of failure. Bitcoin is the future of finance, we are going to the moon very soon.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there fewer women Than men involved in Bitcoin?
|
on: November 18, 2023, 07:07:27 PM
|
There are many things that contribute to the underrepresentation of women in the Bitcoin community. The tech industry including cryptocurrency has historically been male dominated resulting in fewer women pursuing careers or interests in this field. Barriers like gender stereotypes, lack of female role models & limited access to educational resources can discourage women from getting involved. Creating inclusive spaces, providing mentorship opportunities & promoting diversity could help address this gender gap & encourage more women to participate and contribute to the world of Bitcoin.

Prepare to experience a big surge for Bitcoin like it was 2015 - 2017 I sure hope so, that was my first bull run. I was like a deer in headlights, euphoric but also clueless. Gains akin to those times would be amazing. We have the right macro financial setup, let’s cross our fingers & see how it goes.

Economy / Speculation / Re: September didn't follow its bear cycle

on: November 17, 2023, 02:24:42 PM

History doesn’t always repeat but it often rhymes. We can’t base our trading or investment plans on what happened in the past. Obviously we can use indicators & various charts to base an opinion but there are many factors to consider. We should be heading into a bullish period for a couple of years now so bear that in mind.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC.
|
on: November 16, 2023, 08:29:07 PM

It doesn’t matter if you are a low net worth, low earning individual. You still want to avoid losing purchasing power of your savings don’t you. There is no better hedge than bitcoin so like you say OP, you can invest very little. If you are able to DCA for a number of years & be very patient, your money will do much better in bitcoin than it will sitting in the bank suffering from annual inflation.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1
|
on: November 16, 2023, 08:05:12 PM
|
No chance it will reach $1 because the supply is near infinite. For it to reach $1 a huge portion of global investment funds would have to flow in & let’s face it, that will never happen. SHIB is a meme coin with close to zero utility & real world use cases. It’s just not going to happen, divert your attention towards main coins or small caps.

Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why do people get depressed?
|
on: November 16, 2023, 07:09:31 PM

Life is hard, other people expect so much from us. I think people get depressed due to work pressures, the cost of living crisis has really hit in the last couple of years. It’s put pressure on people, money is tight & that can lead to depression.
There are so many things that can make people depressed. It’s nothing to be ashamed of these days though, there is help out there. It’s accepted as a condition now so you can seek help without feeling ashamed or embarrassed.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best?
|
on: November 15, 2023, 11:22:29 AM
|
If you invest in more well known altcoins then you can make a lot more money than you do with traditional bank savings accounts. It’s all about timing the market, if you buy at the top with crypto then you’re going to lose a lot of unrealised capital losses. If you buy at the right time, which actually isn’t that hard, then hold for 4 years or more then you will beat pretty much all stocks & bank savings products. So to summarise, buy Ethereum, DOGE, Cardano, Matic, LINK etc a year or so after bitcoin makes all time highs, then hold for a few years, hey presto big gains.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favourite Alt-Coin, and why?
|
on: November 15, 2023, 11:11:06 AM
|
I am not a big altcoin guy but my favourite of the whole bunch is by far ethereum because it is so vital to a large percentage of the entire altcoin eco-system. Without ethereum a whole bunch of the excitement & interest in altcoins would not exist. Ethereum has a use case which is more than can be said for most altcoins. I expect the price of ethereum to continue increasing over the mid to long term.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow to Buy Bitcoin is Not Advisable.Consider the Factors Before Doing That.
|
on: November 15, 2023, 11:00:21 AM
|
It’s generally not a good idea to borrow money in order to facilitate bitcoin purchases but there is a time when it can be beneficial. I would always advise against it but if you can time the market right it’s easy profits. If you borrow & buy bitcoin 12-18 months after an all time high, when the market is on the way down then as long as you make minimum payments monthly you can sell during the bull run, pay off the debt fully & still have great profits. It can be seen as free money but it carries a lot of risk.

These companies will continue to bend the knee to regulatory pressures, otherwise they won’t be permitted to do business in said countries. Don’t be surprised at anything they comply with after being told so by their masters.
