981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Brave Browser The Newest Favorite Among All Browser on: December 20, 2020, 02:59:58 PM
How could you with a straight face say that brave is the new favorite in all browsers? You have to be joking to say something that outlandish. Normally chrome is by far still the most used one, and funny enough firefox, edge and opera are still way ahead of brave as well.

Of course you could think of whatever you want and of course you could do whatever you want with this fake information, but brave is not as highly regarded as you may think. Chrome is by far still bigger, by 100x margin as well and it will continue to be that way for a very long time as well.

Brave is not bad, it will get bigger and bigger of course, will definitely reach to higher levels but before it could ever be at chrome level, we need to see something major change, maybe payments needs to get bigger because right now it is not really big enough to care at all.
982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For beginners which trading option is best and which platform and why? on: November 28, 2020, 08:44:32 AM
Centralized exchanges are not the boogeyman. I understand that many people have lost their money in many of these exchanges but what people are forgetting is that no huge one has been hacked and lost customers money in the recent years. Binance, kucoin, polo, bittrex, bitfinex these are all still fine and there are ton of others like them.

The only ones that lost your money are the small ones plus the old ones back in the day. Sure there is still a chance centralized exchange could lose your money, but that doesn't mean that dex are so great neither, they could get hacked and hackers could find a code in the system they could get in and take all of your money as well which has happened, this doesn't make us blame ALL dex neither so it shouldn't do that for cex as well.
983  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be hitting to $35000 soon - Buy it today!! on: November 24, 2020, 07:14:07 PM
if just speculating this is very dangerous,
if you have a reason why Bitcoin can go to $ 35k I think you should share it here,
I myself can't believe Bitcoin can go up to $ 35k, but for $ 20k I believe.
There are several theories actually but they all are still speculation, some are saying we just need to break a few resistances and then the price will sky rocket but then again it is just what people are speculating. I agree these kind of speculations can be dangerous because one who suggests others so hard might be investing a bit too much and a small fall in the prices can shake them up.

As always when we have Bitcoin price rise we have too optimistic predictions. Although the market is very optimistic we still haven't touched 20k and the question is if we will or the price will pull back.
So, 35k is still very far and "soon" it might mean couple of years or it might not happen at all. So there is no need to rush with conclusions.
Yeah, 35k might not even be gained by the end of 2021 let alone 2020 because the market is going to experience a lot of fallbacks too and the price rises 10k it then goes down by 5k like that it happens usually so the total price rise is not as big as it seems, maybe by the start of 2022 or so we can see 35k and that also if the bull run continues for that long.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP price Hit $0.9, suddenly goes down in second on: November 24, 2020, 06:17:21 PM
I wouldn't say this looks sustainable neither. With the drop I say afterwards people could sell their coins to lower levels. Many people are buying XRP because they want to get Spark with it but they are overpaying it, doesn't look like Spark will worth the difference in coin when XRP goes down and you fail to sell at the right time.

Assume a scenario like this, you buy at around 0.7 right? And get 1 spark in return, if stark is around 0.2 that means you have to sell your XRP over 0.5 right? In order to make a profit that is the calculation. What if you buy at 0.7 and can't sell over 0.5? You will lose money even with the drop. So, there will be some people who will lose money even with the free coin they get, and plenty will sell even if they profit.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: November 24, 2020, 05:26:55 PM
The current crypto market is exciting as everyone is happy that new funds are being pumped into the space, investors are making profits and people are aiming for new ATH for bigger profits. I  remind us all not to forget to take profits, cut your greed and find new opportunities. Never be emotional about any project, buy when it's right, sell when it's right.
We tend to keep on holding our positions in the market, because we can’t predict where the market will be moving next. It’s a normal thing to want to make profit when you invest money in the market, depending on when you invested, it can only turn to greed when you have gotten enough but you’re still looking for more.

Since, investment is what you’re doing with funds that you want to risk in the market, if you happen to lose a part of it in the process of trying to make some good profit, there is nothing wrong with it. But everyone should always be aware when to take the right move, if you don’t, you’re going to be losing on a steady.
986  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < on: November 23, 2020, 06:04:55 PM
I received an email containing a free coupon the other day for the Nitto ATP Men's Final (Tennis for those who are unaware) but I was unable to use it unfortunately. I would have lost either way because I would have gone for Thiem. Still it was a nice gesture from Bitsler and looking forward to receiving more in the future  Grin
I have received that coupon as well as it was sent to everyone who wagered $10 in the last week and first 1000 players can claim so I was lucky enough and actually made the bet on Medvedev and won it. Not a huge amount though it was only some 3.3 XRP and after winning it became 5 XRP so yeah nice coupon and actually a refreshing manner of giving coupon instead of the old fixed value coupon.

I actually start to see some promotions, coupons and development towards sports as they also run a soccer league so looks like bitsler is going to get among the biggest sportsbook too as they are already among the biggest crypto casino. Let us see how future promotions look and by the way this kind of free bets are really amazing so keep them coming Grin.
987  Economy / Economics / Re: What if there is a natural disaster, such as an earthquake? on: November 23, 2020, 04:14:55 PM
I would totally freak out if disaster is coming in my way. Like what happened in the Cagayan valley in the northern part of the Philippines, and also the Bicol region where there is no electricity and cell tower sites are being squashed that only provides no to limited internet connection due to typhoon Ulysses. If I were in that situation with no electricty and limited connection for at least few weeks to a month, I would totally lose my online job (unless they understand my situation).
Losing your job is still not the biggest loss because earthquakes and such nature disasters often take away life of people and those who survive are actually very lucky so let alone the job when such natural calamities happen, I am only concerned about my life.

It will only be an isolated incident that could take place like it could only happen to a certain place.  But if the earthquake is reall huge that it covers the whole world then forget all bitcoin, gold and your investments and focused on survival. Bitcoin, gold and other asset of yours could no longer save you instead the basic needs like food and water that if you are lucky enough to have survive the earthquake.
Economies will be damaged but you are right it would be a heist to even survive such times and there have been times in past when such disasters have happened although I don't see anything like that happening in coming years.

Such disasters will actually don't impact BTC value by much though I think because digital currencies can't be affected by what happens physically.
988  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest threats to the price of Bitcoin. on: November 23, 2020, 03:43:42 PM
I don't fear about other reasons as much as I actually am concerned about the introduction and use of quantum computers as they perform calculations at unbelievable rate and I read somewhere that they are so powerful that they can mine all the Bitcoins within a few hours or days, imagine the speed of the calculations performed by these computers.

Recently google performed their quantum supremacy and indeed it was a sign of worry for not just cryptocurrency but the whole security system because when a computer performs such fast calculations even the algorithms like SHA might fail and we might need a new security structure very soon. I hope this is not the case and nothing like this happens but indeed I was worried when I first read about quantum computers and their speed.
989  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 New Slots Weekly |🎰 New Providers Relax Gaming & Big Time Gaming on: November 23, 2020, 10:07:15 AM
Money train seems to be the go to place for many gamblers from the last 2 post we have seen about it.
First chips came out and said that people are moving to money train nowadays and more people gamble there than anywhere else. And now we have cmonman (COME ON MAAAN Cheesy) gambling on money trains and making this insane return as well.

This looks like one of the games where you may not win very commonly but when you do, you make all the loss back and then some, kinda like gambling on dice with 70x+ return where you will not win a lot but when you do it will be bigger but with bigger odds obviously.

Hopefully I will one day hit one of these big ones as well, I want to share the screenshot of a 999x+ or bigger win here one day but first I gotta hit one of those Cheesy.
990  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - $1,000 Daily Race! 30% Rakeback! Advanced Dice Game🎲 2.000 Bets/s⚡ on: November 22, 2020, 08:44:27 PM
I doubt that wolf.bet is working with in house agents, they are probably using some third party company that would allow you to pay them a certain amount that would be cheaper than actually hiring people to work 24/7 in their company. It means we are talking about regular people like you and me, sure normally we do our jobs at the best rate we can, but haven't you seen anyone who did a terrible job? I mean we all know at least few people who are idiots and who did a terrible job at their work.

So sometimes, not regularly but sometimes you get some people who would be like this example, rude and sarcastic and just plain old horrible, obviously when proven they will definitely be fired but until getting fired they will keep on making a horrible job and hurting the business, it is a temporary issue that happens with all business' that have human workers.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin very Big problem on: November 22, 2020, 06:30:03 PM
I am often skeptical of the cryptocurrency market because cryptocurrency has neither a worldwide community nor a rule to make coins, so my faith is not more than just 10%. This is because 2 3 Coins of the same name can also be made.  Ho and no one sends you any legal notice or banner and if 10 projects come in 1 month, then 8 of them are fake, if this problem is not solved then trust in this market will not increase...
Right now as of today, there are coins that made over 10% just today, let alone coins that made 10%+ in a week. If you want list of coins that made more than 10% in a week they are XRP, Waves, Litecoin, susi, cardano, stellar, yfi , etc and many more like these and the coins I listed here are very high level top coins as well. If you want coins that made 10% just today, it is once again XRP and status and aragon and nano which are all top 100 coins (with xrp at 4th).

As you can see altcoins are not in trouble, they do not have a problem, altcoins are doing amazing right now, it is the investors who think altcoins will go down that are in trouble, we do not have any problems with altcoins themselves. You have to just pick them correctly in order to make a good profit.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some till don't understand crypto and bitcoin on: November 22, 2020, 04:02:36 PM
SoftBank CEO said crypto will be useful but Bitcoin is hard to understand, but what is crypto without bitcoin? And again how is Bitcoin so hard to believe? Is there anyone on here is find bitcoin hard to understand? What's your thought on this?
We obviously do not feel like it is hard to understand bitcoin, if you haven't read bitcoin whitepaper you might find it difficult to understand but if you are here on bitcointalk you either already read the whitepaper, or even if you haven't you have at least spent enough time to see what it is. So, we are talking about something that is not going to suddenly make us feel like we don't know what we are doing.

However it is going to take a while for others to catch up, not everyone understands bitcoin the way we do and because they do not understand it, sometimes they say stuff that makes no sense at all. Obviously saying something like "crypto will be useful but bitcoin is hard to understand" has no idea what they are talking about at all.
993  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is the secret to success in trading? on: November 22, 2020, 03:20:14 PM
there is nothing wrong with imitating trading, because before we find our own characteristics in trading we need to reflect on those who have been trading for a long time, the most important thing is high willingness and patience. because controlling emotions is very difficult, especially when faced with high volume market movements, often making emotions uncontrollable.
Imitating or learning from someone is never a bad idea but it becomes a problem when you are too dependent on someone else for your profits and that is why a lot of traders criticize copy trading because instead of learning you are only earning and in future this can have drastic consequences.

I have fortunately been able to read interviews and articles from some of the best traders, not in the crypto market but in general. They have one thing in common and that is to have a correct vision when you invest like if you read the story of how Jeff Bezos became so rich he always had the long term vision with Amazon and never focused on profits and that is what led to his success and same goes with investing and trading, have a good vision with what you are doing.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between BTC/USDT and BTC/USD on: November 22, 2020, 02:50:27 PM
My question, is the any difference (in term of day trading profit) between BTC/USD and BTC/USDT?  Roll Eyes
There is no direct difference, but indirectly yes! If the value of the cryptocurrency goes up, the value of fiat currency that is USD will go down. In simpler terms, you could buy 1 BTC for $40  years ago and now you have to pay $15k+ to buy 1 BTC. As long as your BTC-USDT/USD is concerned, you can't buy USD from a digital exchange. You can either convert it or liquidate it.
Good explanation but I was wondering what is the difference between USD and USDT then in terms of market because USDT is going to be always 1:1 with USD and hence both the markets are same technically.

There is a lot of confusion around USD and USDT but the difference is quite clear that one is a fiat currency while the other is meant to match the fiat currency while working as a crypto. You basically need to convert your USDT into US dollars or USD before you can actually use them.

Exchanges must need to work on offering USD markets by fulfilling licence requirements in my opinion as they are already offering USDT markets.
995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did Grayscale get so much Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2020, 08:09:35 PM
"Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust now holds more than 500,000 Bitcoin, surpassing $8.3 billion in value."

https://cointelegraph.com/news/grayscale-now-has-half-a-million-bitcoin
Well, it’s quite possible for them to gain access to that amount, it’s a platform that’s into cryptocurrency business and their main duty is holding assets for their clients, so they would know how to lay their hands on many of them.

they must be a trusted service provider for holding such amount of bitcoin, and I believe this service is for under knowledgeable investors that can't be their own bank as well. There would be no problem in as much as Grayscale delivers to them their finds when ever they are in need of them.
Yup it’s definitely a trusted platform, and I don’t think they accept investment from people who are not accredited investors. They are only accepting accredited investors and those are people with net worth of over $1 million. If you are not worth that much, you’re not going to be able to purchase any of their products.
996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin make someone the richest in the world? on: November 21, 2020, 05:12:44 PM
The top richest men in the world became billionaires without Bitcoin, and most of them have been billionaires before Satoshi even thought of creating Bitcoin. I can’t tell for sure whether bitcoin can make anyone the richest man, but being the richest man requires a lot of work. Maybe Bitcoin can help in boosting your wealth to the top, but you still have to be investing in other assets and also have a business that you’re doing.

Just check the richest men they all have businesses that they are in charge that’s bringing in a huge stream of income; Bill Gates has Microsoft, Jeff Bezos owns Amazon, Zuckerberg has Facebook, and even the African richest man you’re talking about has a big company, one of the biggest in Africa, and these businesses are getting them steady income on a daily, which is unlike Bitcoin.
997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin got more room upside? on: November 21, 2020, 04:35:23 PM
After this we have increase almost another $1k, that is a great example to show you that bitcoin still has room to go upside. I am not saying it would be like this forever, obviously we are not going to be one million per bitcoin nowadays (which I believe will happen eventually one day, maybe 10-20 years later but "eventually" will happen) but we know that right now is not the time we are done going up. Could the price fall? Sure why not, this is bitcoin.

However, it is obvious that the market is not filled yet and we are still hungry about going higher and higher and there is at least few more thousands to break the ATH and go higher right now, it is not going to be easy but it is going to happen. This 1000 dollar increase was the proof that bulls are still around and they are still looking to make more profits.
998  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEC clarifies Bitcoin is not securities and regulations in 2021 on: November 21, 2020, 03:53:41 PM
Honestly I do not see all these companies buying into bitcoin for hundreds of millions of dollars as "taking over bitcoin" because there will always be some bitcoins sold on the market, which means we can all buy bitcoin and they are only making it cost more, and increasing the price is something we would love to see, I hope all these huge companies keep investing into bitcoin and we would profit from it, if we ever want to buy the huge whales and small fish all pay the same price for it and that is fine with me.

I think big companies going in only could be rivaling the other huge companies and nothing else, if a company buys 500 million dollar worth of bitcoin at $20k, the aim for them is to make a profit, so another buying at $10k would be their rival not us.
999  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats causing the re rise of BTC? on: November 20, 2020, 09:19:11 PM
After extensive research I and my team have conclusively identified the reason behind bitcoin's price increase over the past few months and it comes down to fake news and the fact that bitcoin is a hoax that has fooled a lot of people. We're going to continue our investigation, including collecting private affidavits of how it's a hoax and hopefully we can present our detailed research and win our proven conclusions so we can save people from the fake news bitcoin hoax. SHORT!
Sounds more like an ironic statement than anything else and was funny to read it.

The price rise was actually expected to happen late every year as it happens but this time the rise happened earlier than expected and more than anticipated so everyone is shocked but to me it is nothing new because if not for the corona virus we might have already reached 25k by now. A big effort was needed to come out of the grove that we were in March this year so we recovered it and then to lift to the price we are now at, I think it's a great success and slap to anyone who called Bitcoin as a bubble.

I was wondering if there is any way the John McAfee's prediction about 1 million dollars has a chance. Here are the (not so) wise words - https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/887024683379544065

At the moment we are in the process of introducing applications that can be used in the Betslip, so that users can accept bets more easily and avoid the delay.
We hope this is implemented tonight or tomorrow night. We are sorry that the delay in live bets is now at 14 seconds, but this will be changed today or tomorrow so that it will not bother you anymore.
We do our utmost to optimize the operation and functions of the site.
I haven't tried the sportsbook yet but yeah the 14 seconds is a bit too long and around 8 seconds should be fine I guess. Nice to see you are working on important aspects and community feedbacks, will try the sportsbook soon.

I checked this section. It means that you can literally bet on any temperature if you want.
But, you could take advantage of that if you are checking the weather forecasts?
I am shocked that such type of betting actually exists because yeah like you said we can take advantage maybe by knowing the weather forecast but surely they must have some way to avoid that if they are offering bets on these events. Betting on weather is the most innovative thing I have read in quite a while!
