21  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AAQ (Actually asked questions) for Spend Bitcoins on: August 09, 2012, 04:20:16 AM
Hi Jeremy,

Stick me in the same boat, you're the only person/service ive used for BTC Cheesy So im really hopeful that the PayPal payment comes back as theres obviously more risk on the receiving end of PP to BTC, and finding someone new to trust with an irreversible transaction is tough, and i can happily say i trust SpendBitCoins (admittedly only around 10BTC at a time), so it will just be a pain in the backside checking out the rest, its time i'd rather use elsewhere.

If it cant be done, thanks for everything at least, finding your site made joining the bitcoin community easier.

Paul
22  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is spendbitcoins legit? on: August 09, 2012, 03:46:10 AM
Its the only place ive used since starting mining in January. not exactly huge sums of money, only 49.7 coin, all to PayPal (GBP & USD at different times) and they've all been received pretty quickly, im sure most have arrived within 12h and im in the UK so were at opposite ends of the day. Only once was the wrong payment sent (got USD value, not GBP) and i PM'd him on here and he fixed it, i just refunded his payment and he sent the correct amount moments later.

Just seen his site says they're no longer supporting USD, or PayPal at all, just Aussies from what i can tell, so rather gutted about that because now it means finding somewhere new. Thats basically what im here for now, look for a reputable alternative.

I've only used spendbitcoins and was happy with the service, largely because they were the first place i found to trade for cashing in without it taking 1/4 of my pathetic gains as a fee.

Looking at SBC and FC4BC right now SBC is offering $6.66 (eek) while FC4 is offering $6.44 (now $6.42), and deepbit tells me mtGox has it at $6.66 (was 6.69 when i started!! SELL SELL SELL! Wink)

Based on a 10BTC transaction:
SBC = $66.60 * 0.956 (-4.4% fee) thats $63.67 in your pocket.
FC4 = $64.40, thats only $0.73 more, although i must admit i dont quite get your 'no fee' and 'effective fee' but any fee is going to end up being less value than SBC, no? unless the 'effective value' is their undervaluing of the BTC to their advantage, your expense?

From what ive heard from Jeremy @ SBC (emailed him a couple of times, seems friendly enough), its currently manually processed, and in the middle of automating it. I've had transactions done in a couple of hours, and others about 12h on, afaik they're aussie based (think he has someone state side too) so it could well be down to time of day its done. Call me fickle and shallow, but SBC just looks more professional, FC4 looks like someone knocked it up in 1hr. Im sure they're both respectable and fine, its just first impressions.

Cant comment on FC4BC as this is the first ive heard of them, someone else can shed some light on them Smiley

I'd appreciate having my shackles loosened a little Smiley
Would like to be able to ask questions in their relevant hidey-holes rather than in the newbies area and not get an answer, so find myself digging through threads not knowing all the terminology and getting nowhere fast.

Been mining since Jan, on deepbit, and ive managed twice as many PM's to people than posts on here, and i'll be damned if im spamming a newbie forum with irrelevant responses like 'yeah, me too' just to get a couple more posts... Although i guess im now 1 closer to the requirement if need be.  Embarrassed

Total time logged in: 1 days, 2 hours and 3 minutes. I should be approved just for having consecutive values too Cheesy 26hrs as a mute forum user (in 95% of the forum) should be punishment enough Smiley

I've been using DiabloMiner for the last 3 months, and im wondering if theres a command to restrict the amount of GPU usage it takes?

I'd leave it running 24/7 on most days, but when i come to play games i have to close it down and recently im getting rather forgetful and not putting it back on, but quite a few of the games im playing arent CPU/GPU intensive, using just 30-40% with v-sync, so i'd quite like to be able to limit DM to say 50% (whatever is stable) allowing me to mine and game at the same time. Likewise it'd also be handy to dial it down a little when its a bit noisy.

Is there such a command/statement i can make in Diablo, or an alternative (Win7 64bit suitable) which does??

Thanks
