Nice, so same temps with 5k RPM than the others with 8K RPM right ? How is this suitable for home mining, is the difference with 721 that important or seems the same ? Cheers, Q.

Hi all, Updated the OP, it's still a little messy I'll clear it up once the prices will be public that will help everyone to make a decision on what exactly they want. Also I'll have to contact Sidehack to see how the value of btc will be fixed for the exchange and a efw details, will be done once I get the prices also. My question is if you pay 1 week before I pay sidehack with btc@800 and I have to pay sidehack the next week with btc@700 how does it go ? it'll be easier if price increases be still, gotta get my head arround it, open to suggestions Cheers, Q.

I had 2 hashing for about 4 months uninterupted, silent, stackable up to 2 units (the ait exhaust is about 2-3° above ambient so exhaust from miner 1 can be input from miner 2) and absolutely no fire hasard, it was on the x3 units with the first gen boards iirc, something about a capacitor blowing up due to crappy design.
No risk with these.
PS : you have a full version of Android on witch you can install snake, your emails and all for the lulz

Negotiating with bitmain to get first dibs on their batch 2. Price will be cheaper than retail, and main thing is shipping will be cheap since I will get a pallet shipment. Ill pass savings on to you guys if there are enough in the US interested. Only downside is that the whole shipment will be delivered to NY, then I will have to ship each unit out from there to the rest of you (probably 10-20 additional if I ship ground...way better than the 100+ bitmain will charge per unit from china though).
You know bitmain does only 5% off on really large orders ? something like 250+ machines

Hope for you Eastshore's legit, their site looks really borderline... How do they still have s9s, they have eth asics doing 190mhs for 700w, some altcoins asics I have never seen before (I'm not that much into alt mining so I could be wrong)... And they declare 90usd to customs, witch is a good thing but a little strange and risky for their business...
Anyways keep us up to date when your order arrives mate !
Cheers, Q.

Bitcoin / Group buys / [checking interest] EU group buy for Sidehack's 16nm miners
|
on: January 11, 2017, 08:53:06 AM

Hi all, My schedule has changed since a few months (hence the lack of update), as I recieved no coins yet I think it'sz better to cancel the group buy.
Sorry all, I'd gladly be a buyer but today I'm not able anymore to organize this in a decent manner for the end consumers so I'd rather not take the risk
Cheers, Q.Hi there,
So I saw the post for the group buy in CAN for Sidehack's new miners, but no posts about it in EU (France), so I'm checking interest about that.
I have never done group buys before although I have done many transactions, so if someone who is more trusted in the community wants to take my place I don't mind at all
Here's the OP for the people who don't know what I'm talking about : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1651958.0
There are 3 products :
Sidehack 20-120 gh stick
Sidehack 700 gh pod
Sidehack S1/S3/S5 upgrade 4 TH
reservations are here : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vDU5F14eqeJRNweu06Ql1ZDNWblV1DOWfKp6I3AnuUw/edit?usp=sharing
There is no definite price as of now, refer to OP for any technical questions.
Well that's it, tell me if you need any more info, I know I'm ordering a few s5 replacement boards so if anyone wants to come along they're welcome.
Cheers, Q.

Well for me it's not only about the hashrate, I recycle the heat inside my appartment for the winter and use the noise to piss off my neighbours The only solution I may have found for now is with a friend who owns a companny to import it through here, but thanks for your inputs anyways. Cheers, Q.

Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Making server PSUs quieter

let it plugged in and cut the wire, then put some thermo retractable tube to "solder" the blue yellow red and black wires to your pwm fan. You can add a big variable resistor to the power wire to regulate speed, I had one of these on a 800w dell server psus with an ant s1 fan (pretty silent but powerful).
I might find it tonight and post a picture to make this easier, but it's a ghetto fix (possibe for 3-4 psus but not for a farm). When I used it 24/7 I had to glue a little heatsink on the back, it was a variable resistor for the volume know on a stereo system.
Have fun !
