282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pump and dump on: December 22, 2017, 11:22:19 PM

Bitcoin always pumps and dumps, doesn't change that fact that it has real utility. Bitcoin is here to stay

My abacus is a real utility and BTC does not offer a service to host contracts (Little ledgers looking to earn gas, not real programs)
like ETH so i am not sure what you mean unless your trying to assign value to the coins because it took a lot of CPU power and
electricity to make one via mining

I am thinking about writing a program that will count all the black pixies in hundreds of images that I will download
from google because the number generated must have value if it took terra-flops of processing power to derive at the
final result.

Bitcoin will be going if they don't address the issue I have raised and not only get the transaction speed up but get the
costs back down by a factor of about 2500

7 Transactions a second, well I could do that on a 48k ZX-Spectrum without breaking out to cutting machine-code

Layer 2

Quit complaining and build it
283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pump and dump on: December 22, 2017, 09:23:02 PM
Yup.

First it was  PUMP PUMP PUMP

Now it is DUMP DUMP DUMP!

Everyone is being greedy and just trying to make tons of money. It seems the dump is going to be even bigger than the pump!

I think most people are selling NOW. Trying to get out before the big crash

Bitcoin always pumps and dumps, doesn't change that fact that it has real utility. Bitcoin is here to stay

Noobs get rekt, hodlers buy lambos.

Promjo, whats the delay?

also, not sure why people here on a bitcoin forum are questioning Adam Backs credibility. His work is cited in the Satoshi white paper

Yeah, without Adam Backs there's no sha256.

actually he came up with proof of work via Hashcash that was adopted by bitcoin

How about you all stop bitching and NO ONE posts anything until AFTER Promojo posts photographs instead of replies to your lame accusations and enquiries?!?

(don't reply to this either nerds)

I have no doubt dragon mint are real as confirmed by many people I know via side channels. However it is annoying someone with one on hand for longer than a week has not done a review.

I suppose Halong did not supply a demo to any of the regulars on btctalk because they do not wish to have all the specifics made public yet. This has been a big dick tease and I have major blue balls right now  Tongue

The hosting fee for 2 blade s9's is still $100?   Huh

289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PandaMiner Provides miners in stock ! on: December 12, 2017, 04:52:10 AM
I can only speak in regards to the 3 I have and pretty much yes, slow creep down from 220
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PandaMiner Provides miners in stock ! on: December 12, 2017, 03:38:25 AM
Sorry for my English. The message has been translated by Google.

I have 4 devices Pandaminer B3 Plus. When the ether is mined, they give out a different hashreit. The lowest is 163, the highest is 178. Tell me why this is happening. Prior to this, about half a year other people used the apparatus. I do not know what they did with them and whether they issued the claimed hashed, but now I want to fix it.
I tried to install new drivers (by the way, after that, Claymore finally began to show the temperature on video cards). I tried to play with the parameters (frequency, voltage) of the start of the miner. Nothing helped.
Help diagnose faults and correct them.

The hash rate sounds normal
The declared hash rate is 220. I get it lower by 20% +

New will run at 220

AMD cards slowly die off over time
Do you think that 20-25% for half a year is slow?

I have 3 of these exact miners and they run at that hash rate as well on ETH/Claymore

293  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S9 (DEC 10-20 Batch) on: December 10, 2017, 11:48:53 PM
Who the fuck would pay $5,000 for a $1,500 miner??? Shit I got 15 I will sell for $5,000 right now... That would be the $52,500 I will ever make.

I think the btc amount is more relevant than the dollar amount. I believe these were going for 0.22+ btc with the psu from Bitmain when sales were open. At $15,000 a coin, you would be paying 0.33+ btc

Regardless, doubtful you will get $5,000 on the forum but Ebay/Amazon may bring in close to that minus fees and potential fraud on buyers behalf

There is no one here to help you with this problem.  Help yourself by moving to any other pool than this one. Hell I’d point at nicehash/btcguild  right now Over this abomination. Roll Eyes

BR

Well Nicehash has been hacked and is down for 24 hours, that left only btcguild.

Roll Eyes   you are a few years late for btcguild

299  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 09, 2017, 05:28:45 AM
I asked about if promojo is receiving one unit for review and this is the answer I got from Halong Mining via e-mail.

Quote
I dont think so, I dont recognize the name. We send a miner to two people in the last week, one of whom is in Canada and will do a public review in the next week/10 days.

I personally have not yet had green light for buying and reviewing one.

promojo is the guy in Canada fyi
