This coin is so hot its crazy, the only coin i have seen my wife and kids like. My son asked for Sprouts to stake for his birthday... that is amazing, not bitcoin, not Tek, not a laptop.. he wanted Sprouts. 5 BTC buy wall pops up on Cryptsy. Someone's son is getting a wonderful birthday present. Father of the year award goes to....! If you trust sprouts thundertoe, all doubts have vanished. Sprouts will moon by November 5th. What in the world will happen on November 5th that will take Sprouts to the moon?

anyone is trying to promote this coin on social media? so it would grab traders attention and get listed on exchanges.
Yes, and an IRC channel with coin rain once in a while would be great too.

Cryptsy isnt staking or microstaking, some users are. Plus coinfire is a joke.
I totally disagree about coinfire. Biased, dishonest, idiotic and frequently painful, but not a joke. Jokes are funny. @Biomech, your remark was funny though, LOL Funny AND true!

hi tekheads Is there any ideas of when we shall wait for hard fork? cant wait really peace I can't wait for the hard fork to happen either. It would improve staking so much. TEK is one of the strongest POS coins with a lot of staying power and the hard fork will strengthen its position even more. Kudos to Thundertoe for his work on TEK.

For the sake of getting rid of small blocks, would it be possible to add a combine threshold / split threshold option (i.e. like what has been done with the CAP wallet)? This could be really helpful to control the splitting of blocks after staking, and avoid at the same time a difficulty rise...
Split threshold is already there, combine threshold will not solve the problem in case if someone doing that deliberately - can always set low threshold and keep flooding the network with small blocks. Could someone please explain how I can apply the split threshold in the TEK wallet? I would like to make sure that none of my blocks split, but that they just keep growing. Thanks.

I like to use Doge a lot for the same reasons others mentioned already, namely:
- Very low transaction fees (awesome) - Very fast transfer/confirmation times (even more awesome) - Still as fun to use as in its early days - Big community of users and holders - Actual retailers that accept the coin directly as payment - and Doge is great as a trading pair with other low value alt coins because of it's low value per coin which allows for accuracy on exchanges.
I also like to use TEK, CAP and SPRTS for their POS (Proof of Stake) ability. No need for hardware miners or wasting of resources, just hold an amount in your wallet and reap interest over time.
And last but not least I just started to use XCR (Crypti) which offers a decentralized applications platform with and all-round solution for Node.js and JavaScript developers to deploy their own decentralized applications (DAPPS). XCR is certainly not the first one to offer a DAPPS platform of course (think ETH) but IMHO it is the most promising.

i'm inclined to think that they are enarly 1k, they were 500 in 2014, they probably doubled in this 1 year and half and if you count even those that died at launch or were a simply remak, they far exceed that amount
There are so many new ones coming out each week, on the other hand many are delisted on exchanges as well. It's been a revolving door, but the trend is that a growing number of different alt coins remain.
