Pakistan once again have cracked under pressure just like the last test match. Every time they look like being in a good strong position they then lose quick wickets which then gives all the momentum to the other team and in sports its hard to turn it around when the other team has all the momentum. Lucky for Pakistan that rain came however I don't think it will stop England from winning the match, I'm hoping I'm wrong and Pakistan come out on day two and show some fight.

I'm looking to change things up with BITB and add a lot more beans to my stack by using some other staking coins rewards and buying BITB as I do think that BITB is undervalued even with a huge supply. I think it has a lot to offer people looking to try staking for the first time as many will like the fixed rewards which is why I continue to sprout my BITB.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 12, 2020, 11:45:09 PM
2nd test between England and Pakistan begins tomorrow. England will feel more confident after the comeback in the test match. Would like to want England to bat first and put on big score and then it becomes more interesting to watch the match. Hopefully the rain does not come in this test match as well and will be more to watch.

Well all the momentum is with England after coming back and winning the first test. Pakistan did show that they can play well but they need to work on maintaining good form in matches and not let the pressure get to them which then leads to batting collapses.

I decided to pick up some more SIN at the current price as I plan on using the stake feature once it is released. I think that running an infinity node along with locking SIN away in staking is a great way to help build up my stack for the long term. I see it as a savings account ready for when Sinovate takes off in the future as more products will be released like IDS protocol.

Thank you for joining ODDBANK. Its a site designed to support people in keeping crypto decentralized while keeping all their data straight until they understand what they are doing. I have helped a lot of folks over the years and ODDBANK is a way we to support everyone in linking payment networks to the "THINGS" and "BOUNTIES" (crowdfunds) they list.

My favorite feature is the ability to list your own referral links for the included exchanges.

There are other features as well regarding the db design and the ability to associate multiply locations, dynamically with your THINGS. Designed for food trucks and expansive menus.

Like Etsy social with Facebook marketplace direct to user checkout.

There is a blog feature as well AND a place to list your losses from the cryptopia seizure.

I'm an amateur dev and theoretical economist working on proof of model concepts. ODDBANK has one brick and mortar TRI faucet in Detroit and can be funded by anyone.

You know thats actually very amazing and your very ahead of your time. Your actually in a sense living in the future where we ought to be right now. Thank you for the air drops and thank you for being a TRI hero. I wish I lived closer to Michigan so I could visit your brick and mortar, people are sleeping on your concepts, your one of the few making it real. I feel like im typing to a genius, let me also say as I posted before people are really underestimating TRI at this point in history and I really think people will look back at these posts, see your brick and mortar Tri faucet/exchange and it will be historical. Just my 2 cents.

I agree 100%, whalebone has created something that is unique in the crypto space and I think its only a matter of time before people start seeing this. I also just like to thank whalebone for the TRI airdrop as I have received my TRI and I look forward to seeing the site grow as more people come in. I would also like to visit however I live too far away lol as I live in Australia but maybe one day I will.

I know that ETH will be added to StakeCube some time this year but is that just for trading or will we be able to earn interest as well like the others currently earning interest? And also will we be able to buy hash to mine ETH like BTC and soon Dash?

I agree with you.
Players of that new generation, such as Medvedev,  Thiem and Zverev are very good but they always lack something to win the biggest matches at GS.
Lack of experience,  or they can't stand pressure, who knows but they are still not on the same level with the biggest players.

I can agree that Djokovic has the biggest chance to win the US open also because the tournament will be held behind closed doors. This is in the advantage of Djokovic as the public will not cheer for him.
But these new generation players are getting closer and closer every year. Look at the US Open final of last year, there Medvedev really came close in winning the title.

None of these new generation players will probably become the next Federer, Nadal or Djokovic, but I do expect them to start winning major tournaments from time to time.

In my opinion they should be winning now as most are at the age where Federer, Nadal and Djokovic started winning grand slams however I think this time round is because we have most likely seen the best three players ever in Men's tennis which makes it very hard to see the next gen win grand slams. In the previous gen the top players were Sampras, Agassi, Hewitt and Safin but they were not as good as the top three we see now. So that is why we don't see the next gen winning grand slams at the moment, maybe until one or two of the top three retire.

@vella85 in my personal opinion it’s unfair to compare these player’s with the top three, because it adds unnecessary pressure on them to perform. Also I believe that most of these young player’s have now matured, and it’s only a matter of a year or two before they start making a name for themselves, but even then I would not like to compare them as each player is different and we should respect their uniqueness.

I'm not comparing players but generations because I believe that if these same young players were around before the top three we have now they would be winning. The top three we have now are legends of the game which is why when the next gen come up against them in grand slam finals they don't have the mentality to win. I have been and continue to be a huge supporter for the next gen as if anyone goes back and reads my posts I have always supported them more so Thiem as I think he has what it takes to be a great player and has performed well against Nadal in the past. Lets be honest they are professional players so there is always going to be pressure put on them and I don't think any one of them comes here to read what I have to say anyway lol.

There's always been a lot of pressures for any sports, and I think that one that will heavily affect them is sports media and fans. But majority of them can readily play above and beyond those pressures unless there are serious allegations or even scandals like what happen to Tiger Woods, which really ruins his career.

I know mate, we have a lot of discussions about who is going to be the next gen, and Thiem and Medvedev, and of course my boy Tsitsipas always come into the discussions. They just need to have that mentality and to be consistent and put more focus on winning.

I agree, its more so the media that can effect players and it can for years but the ones that have a strong mentality can rise above it like we have seen in the past.

Yes we have had many discussions about the young talent coming through, we just like to see them perform consistently which is what lets them down a lot of the time. As we have been seeing most perform well at the start of the year but they fade away at the end and some perform poor at the start and come good at the back end of the year like we saw with Medvedev last year. We can see the talent they all have, they just need to be able to win against the top three in grand slam finals. Like I said anyone can go back and see that I'm a big fan of Thiem, I've even had several bets on him to win the French Open for the last 2 years before it started because I believe he will be the next great clay court player once Nadal retires.

You can always tell who bought the top Roll Eyes

lol I didn't buy at the top?  I am just saying it like it is.  The dev disappeared like usual and nothing came of this coin, whether people bought at bottom, top, or staked for years, it's a worthless coin with 0 volume that never will amount to anything.

The only way I can see this coin amount to something is when the dev returns and starts working on XPTX again. The only problem is that we never even found out what the dev has been working on as he never mentioned anything. When we look at it XPTX does have potential in the next cycle as I believe staking will be the next big thing for crypto once ETH starts staking and I think more people coming into crypto will look for other long standing staking coins but they will also look for active communities and dev teams which is what we have missing here.

We are coming up to 3 weeks since KingCaper's post so I'm eagerly waiting to see what ideas he has planned for MOIN moving forward. I really do think now is the time to start brain storming and coming up with ideas on what direction MOIN should head in so I think a poll would be ideal for ideas and then the community can vote on which direction MOIN should take.

I'm an old member still holding and staking my DMD as I believe that we will see a lot more people coming into the staking space once ETH starts staking. It will attract more people to start staking and I think people will look for other projects that have staking like DMD. I also believe people will look for long standing projects that have a good track record like DMD so we could see DMD take off in the next year or so and DMD v4 could really make DMD explode even more so I think there is a lot to look forward to with DMD for the ones that have the patience to wait.

Awesome!

I have been waiting for this and I know a few others have been as well. So from what I understand 50% of the fees that txbit generates goes to stakers but after company costs? So first txbit needs to generate enough funds to pay for costs and then we earn from the 50% fees?

AceD will be listed on WhiteBIT starting 8/10!

I dont' think that will be that important because I have never heard of that excahnge. It would be better something bettering their business

I do tend to agree with you when it comes to exchanges as they don't offer much, just another exchange to trade on and gain some more exposure however the team are working on bettering their product as they are working on AceDBets which will give bettors a better betting experience once it is complete. We can look forward to more cryptocurrencies being added, LTC, Doge and ETH plus in-play betting which I think is the most important upgrade as in-play betting now days is very popular with bettors.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 08, 2020, 11:13:57 PM
Pakistan never ceases to disappoint me. I thought they would win the first test against the current English side pretty easily by a decent margin, but England rebounded spectacularly. Woakes and Buttler stole the match away from them.

My expectations from Pakistan have dropped even lower now. I am expecting England to easily win this series now. Pakistan are still lacking in many, many areas currently.

Yeah Pakistan had a big chance at winning this match after an all round first innings performance with the bat and ball but it was their second innings batting that let them down and all the momentum was with England. It seems that when Pakistan get in winning positions in test matches that they can't go on with it and get the wins.

I just don't get why its just happening to you as I have placed many bets on the platform over the past 2 weeks and they have all been settled and winnings paid. Yes sometimes my bets have taken 24 hours to be settled but that's because they are done manually until the next update.

This match is turning into a great match to watch as Pakistan have dominated the match but England are fighting back so its going to be an interesting day 3 as to see whether England can get close to Pakistan's first innings total. Just like in the series against the WI, England have started off badly but with this partnership between Pope and Buttler they can help steady the ship and maybe post a good total. This will be the key partnership for England if they are to get anywhere near Pakistan's first innings total.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥[ANN] [POS/MN] ESBC Betting Platofrm🔥🔥🔥 on: August 05, 2020, 11:35:03 PM
Big update was installed on https://bet.esbc.pro/
details about the update and the vision of our future development potential will be published on our blog https://steemit.com/@esbc-official
after bug testing and launching new features.
The Betting Platform is now available
some points of updating:
- reporting system was simplified for comfort users
- additional lines(will be added more)
- matches are added in advance and more leagues
- Transaction history (balance activity history)
I described the above surface things, the most important will be activated later.
Use the betting platform to help us found and fix bugs faster and activate new features faster

I'm impressed with the new look site, its much better then before and its good to see more markets added for us bettors as this is what I have been waiting for a long time now. I still would like to see Australian football added as that's what I mostly bet on but I can understand why it isn't as its not known world wide but I am seeing more and more sportsbooks add AFL now so hopefully one day I'll see it added on ESBC platform.
Thank you for feedback we can add Australian football,I must learn the rules
btw we will add what your recommend earlier (predict championship leaders) on regular on regular basis

You're welcome and thank you for thinking about my suggestion on adding AFL. If you do add games you can then get the results from this website as they post all the stats during and after the games are finished. The rules are easy to understand as its 6 points for a goal and 1 point for a behind. There is videos on YouTube for people to understand. I look forward to the future with ESBC.

Even though almost half the day was lost Pakistan look to be in a good position with just 2 wickets down for 139 runs. Hopefully tomorrow we get a full days play and Pakistan can post a decent total of 400+ as that will be a competitive total batting first.
