This seems to be a popular view - that US exchanges are unsafe because regulators can easily get to them, while exchanges abroad are safe because they are somehow teflon coated against regulatory intervention. We simply disagree with this. We think the key to being safe from regulators is to comply with the regulations, and that's what we're doing. With regulatory compliance, there's no need to hide out in a basement abroad, and it's pretty doubtful that a basement in Italy is particularly unreachable for regulators anyway.

Yeah, but wouldn't be easyer to move the company somewhere else? If I have an exchange like you guys I I would move it to Germany/Austria/Swiss... Canada? Somewhere where the fu*king goverments are more resanoable! Becaouse it looks like USA goverment will destroy everything good connected with BTC.

Can you make a deposit options through debit/credit card VISA/MASTER or Skrill or PayPal or 2checkout?
I want to make a small deposit of 10-20 EUR by SEPA, but I have to pay 15 EUR fee for international transfer and I have to wait about 3 business days to process the payment, that is absolutely stupid and pointless.
Sorry but I don't want to pay such high fees.
Please add the alternative, fast and cheap ways to deposit.
Otherwise, the site is very nice and I like it, but unfortunately I can not use it because I don't want to do SEPA Deposit.
Thank you.

Where are you sending your money from? SEPA transfers (in EUR) are usually free:
Bulgaria
I'm a customer of Raiffeisen Bank Bulgaria, Sofia.
When I said that I want to do a bank transfer to IBAN DE31XXXXXXXXX... they told me that this IBAN is an international and I have to pay international fees for the transfer.
Еvery time when I receive or send money outside Bulgaria the bank take 10 EUR of my money.
This example is unique:
To verify my bank account of Bitcoin.de they send me 0.02 EUR (2 euro cents) + code for verification.
After they received Raiffeisen Bank take from my account 10 euro to pay a fee.
I lost 9.98 euros for nothing.
Such fees have in all Bulgarian banks.

You're an EU citizen! Do you know how easy is to open an account in other EU countrys? Go to Austria or Germany and open an account there Wink

Still low volume... Undecided
Was trying to do some trading in past weeks, but it's really hard. You guys need to buy bitcoins (500+) and litecoins as much as you can on other exchanges for few $ lower price and sold them on your exchange. You will have profit from bitcoins and the volume will grow up. I'm sure if the volume would be 200+ btc per day for at least 1 week, everything would change! Think about it  Wink

Undecided

@galaxy07

This is really interesting answer... Because I'm also interested in quick transfers, which I think they should work with no delay, I can assuru you that I will open this topic on Slovenian Bitcoin conference on 29.10.2013. I think Bitstamp representers will be there 100%.
430  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with Live Trading USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP on: October 15, 2013, 09:30:23 AM
Its me or the exchange has nearly no activity?

Give it time Smiley Each time I check, the volume is greater than last I checked. Unfortunately it's new, and people are skeptical because there is low volume so they don't want to put in high volume orders, creating a catch-22 situation. What it needs to grow is large limit orders to create some market depth and boost the volume, although it is slowly growing on its own anyway.

20-50 btc (€) 24h volume isn't something  Undecided problem is that there is a big gap between bid and ask.

@Dargo

Can I expect a SEPA withdraw, which I did yesterday, tomorow morning?

If you initiated it prior to early afternoon (say 2-3 pm), then there's a good chance it'll clear next business day. At least, Fidor has told us they can usually do SEPA next business day as long as it is initiated early enough.

Got it! It's really important that your withdraws are working quick Smiley

Me res zanima kaj bojo naši vrli finančniki nagruntal  Cheesy

What about UniCredit banks? It's known that Bitstamp  has an account there and they are doing without problems. I guess they are on friendly side Smiley

Did some trading yesterday on Kraken. Need to say that I sold 5btc preaty quick at price 94€ - at the same time price on bitstamp was around 125$. I think i could get even more, but ok... I wanted to test them. Now I'm waiting for my SEPA withdraw which I did yesterday at 6pm. I hope I will see my founds on account tomorow in the morning.
Can say that I wil do some more traiding there if the SEPA withdraws will be within 2 days. And I really like low fees!!

You guys really need to do something about volume. As someone said... put some of your money in the trading Wink

Me veseli, da gre tema dalje  Smiley
Glede blaga: lahk spet potrdim tvoje pisanje.

439  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Slovenija / Slovenia on: October 02, 2013, 02:21:51 PM
Ja... ampak omogoča bitstamp izplačila na omenjeno kartico? Npr. OkPay MC?
440  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Slovenija / Slovenia: same day SEPA transfers? on: October 01, 2013, 05:23:50 PM
Dear slovenian bitcoin friends!
Sorry for not speaking slovenian (but I understand a bit Wink ).

I want to ask about experiences with bitstamp in Slovenia: Do withdrawals from bitstamp to a Slovenian bank account work on same business day in general?
I came to Slovenia and opened a bank account here some weeks ago in order to accelerate my cashflow. But right now, SEPA withdrawals to it are even slower then they were to my german account: a withdrawal was confirmed at 13:45 yesterday, at it still has not arrived today.

What are your experiences with withdrawals in Slovenia?

Usually is next day... but if you have an account at Unicredit Slovenia is the same day (if you withdraw in the morning)

Ker to pol pomeni mesečni volumen npr. 50000€.
