1  Economy / Services / Re: [Code] Will Code in Java on: January 19, 2013, 06:03:09 PM
Hey! Java still rules and will exist long after c# is gone...

Working on a Java trading app. Interested in a collab?

There is nothing about Java that makes it better than any other available language. Nothing.
2  Economy / Services / Re: Noobs Coding services?????? (i make you helpful programs) on: August 12, 2012, 05:50:28 PM

the only reason im not saying is i feel like id get laughed at o,o .....

Now, this is rather strange. You're afraid of showing what you're capable of with the fear of being laughed at, but here you are trying to make other people hire you.
3  Economy / Services / Re: Noobs Coding services?????? (i make you helpful programs) on: August 12, 2012, 05:02:05 PM
Here are a couple of suggestions:

  • Post which languages you're comfortable with.
  • Post previous experience in programming.
  • Do you have any recent projects that you can show? If so, post them.

I'm not trying to be offensive, but your posts aren't really convincing me that you're competent enough within the field. For one, you don't seem to be very old. Secondly, if you're a beginner, why would anyone want to hire you?

May I ask why?

Just bumping a little.

I'm still here guys - constantly looking for new work.
6  Economy / Services / Re: Need someone to setup openvpn on ubuntu server on: June 21, 2012, 09:17:48 AM
I can do it on Monday since I'll be away until then, just putting it up here in case you can't find anyone else to help you.

Do you have SSH so I can connect to you? Or a remote desktop program.
7  Economy / Services / Re: WTB Training in setting up specific programs on a linux VPS on: June 20, 2012, 03:43:22 PM
I won't teach you how to install and configure programs, the best way to learn that is to actually try it yourself. But if you can't get a hold of anyone willing to help, I can configure your VPS for a reasonable price.
Just putting it up there in case your business with Luceo doesn't work out.

Been without internet for some time now, so now that I'm here again I'll just bump up the thread a little.

Could you make a webpage to generate a cgminer config file?  I could make it, but it'd be in excel or something.  I'm only good with VB lol.

I'm probably not the right guy for this job as I have no experience with cgminer, unfortunately.
9  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB EUR [Bitcoins to Paypal] on: May 24, 2012, 08:33:29 PM
Just wanted to update the thread to say thanks to psy; he even paid for the fees, awesome person!

Vouching for his trustworthiness. Smiley
10  Economy / Currency exchange / [CLOSED] WTB EUR [Bitcoins to Paypal] on: May 24, 2012, 06:50:10 PM

Is anyone interested in sending 20 EUR to my Paypal in exchange for bitcoins? I only have 5 bitcoins at the moment, and that seems to be exactly 20 EUR.
Is there any fee when using Paypal? I've never used it, only had an account there for quite some time. If there is a fee, or if you require a fee, I suppose I'll have to wait until I get more bitcoins. :/

Thanks in advance.

I need a ring 4 rootkit.

I'm not sure if you're serious, or if you even know what you're talking about.

Rings go from 0 to 3, so either you're looking for the fourth one (which would be ring 3) or the first one (which would be ring 0). Making a rootkit for ring 3 would be quite pointless, and making it for ring 0 would be quite difficult. I've never encountered any 0-day vulnerabilities for kernel level applications, especially not any exploits.

So assuming you don't have access to any relevant exploits, I won't help you. But I'm pretty sure you were aware of that already, which brings me to this question; why even ask?
12  Economy / Services / Re: I need a Ip x to weather y at time z query! 10 BTC bounty on: May 10, 2012, 06:39:47 PM
So, I made a program only to discover that you needed to pay money in order to use their historical api key. I started looking at other sites; so far, I haven't found a site that provides historical weather data for free. Unfortunately, because of this, I'll abandon this project.
If you ever find a site that provides historical weather data and has an API with json or XML, feel free to contact me again.

Good luck.
13  Economy / Services / Re: I need a Ip x to weather y at time z query! 10 BTC bounty on: May 10, 2012, 04:59:23 PM
Do you mind if I make it in Python? I'll see what I can do.
14  Economy / Services / Re: I need a Ip x to weather y at time z query! 10 BTC bounty on: May 10, 2012, 04:30:40 PM
I've never worked with Geo IP before; but do you have a specific site in mind? Even a database you can access?

I may be up for it if you know more about the actual way of acquiring the data; I don't feel like regexing and stuff.
15  Economy / Services / Re: Programmer looking for work on: May 05, 2012, 04:42:28 PM
Just bumping a little.

I don't mind helping out with homework or school related stuff, I can also teach the basics of programming. For bitcoins, of course.
16  Economy / Services / Re: Programmer looking for work on: May 02, 2012, 03:57:25 PM
I know rjk is looking for a a program that will take the recommended fan speeds from cgminer and send them over serial to the arduino fan controller I'm making him.
Yeah I've been forgetting to ask around. I figured I'd try it out and see how it worked now first.

It sounds like a fun project. I'm not very experienced with arduino apart from reading about it, though. If you decide to hire a programmer, just drop a message and we can discuss it more in depth.
17  Economy / Services / Programmer looking for work on: April 30, 2012, 11:07:27 PM

I'm looking for any sort of computer related work (be it programming, pen-testing, whatever).

  • I know Python, C++, HTML, CSS and PHP
  • I know my way around most operating systems; although Linux is what I'm most comfortable with
  • I'm quite experienced when it comes to exploiting local area networks; basic MITM attacks and ARP exploitation.

So if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is this "OK" to mine with?? on: April 30, 2012, 10:31:58 PM
It seems like many people are recommending AMD based GPU's; is it still recommended if you're using Linux? As far as I know, the support for AMD is mediocre compared with Nvidia.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction fees on: April 30, 2012, 09:54:36 PM
Also note that once the maximum number of Bitcoins are created (~21 million) fees will become more important to the network as the miner will no longer receive new Bitcoins as a reward.

Is it possible to increase the amount of bitcoins?

When it reaches the maximum number of bitcoins, could we assume that the fee will be increasingly expensive?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I will always be here. on: April 30, 2012, 05:41:01 PM

Who is this Atlas person? I'm intrigued.
