Nice, but i wonder if the brexit would have a effect on this for us living in western europe

So basicly if i set mintxfee to 2sat per byte i should be ok (it says 1 is enough now) right?
but the default value is 0.00001 (BTC/kB) if i look it up, am i missing something?

The miner's fee does not have a fixed value it always depends on the network.

If you don't want to change the miner's fee from time to time you must set your miner's fee to the higher amount per byte. So, you don't need to replace the fee from time to time.

This is what i am looking for, what amount do you recommend? is there a default setting for this now?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core default fees not ok? on: August 14, 2018, 06:33:49 PM
I know, but this requires to change the fee by hand all the time.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin Core default fees not ok? on: August 14, 2018, 06:21:01 PM
Hi,

I used a new installed node v0.16.2 to create this transaction:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/72a63e4e27f425eaa4f6ab0de34d18af518b277db1342caf1949e59a03e0cc2e

Now i noticed this a few times that i have to wait a few hours sometimes to get transactions confirmed.
So de dynamic fees from the core are not high enough?

Do i update the fee settings?

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Move rpc command will be removed? on: June 19, 2017, 04:31:50 PM
Did not know that, a wallet will still be having multiple addresses i guess so you need to create a real transaction just to send your own bitcoins within your wallet? This will cost you something no?
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Move rpc command will be removed? on: June 19, 2017, 04:19:41 PM
Hi all,

I am reading the rpc reference and it says that they will remove the move command, is this true? What should be used instead?

13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone ever use Bitsquare to trade? What was your experience? on: May 20, 2017, 11:35:28 AM
I did some transactions. its easy to use, worst case you have to wait about 10 days but seems safe to me.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How to recognise bitcoin addresses on: May 16, 2017, 08:26:44 PM
Yes i know you can't link a address to a person, but how do site's like blockchain.info know that they belong to exchanges or Satoshidice or whatever?
Is this just public information that they gathered?

Hi all,

At this moment i have the 14.1 client installed and i take backups of the chain to backup up the progress because it keeps crashing because it cant read something or because the db is corrupt.

I searched too for "crypto", "atm", "bitcoin" and no result so reading the whole pdf takes lots of time.
Anyway if it is that people are not allowed to use ATM or buying bitcoin<=>cash then people will find always a way how to buy or sell bitcoins.
Look at page 30, its about limiting the amount for anonymous buying btc.

Actually I believe ATM is against the concept of bitcoin. Why would you want to go to atm to buy or convert your coins when you can do it from the comfort of your home online?
Because not all people know the basics of using a computer and safely buying and selling bitcoins. And you have to to the paperwork before you can do anything.
20  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Europe killing the crypto atm business on: October 09, 2016, 04:48:21 PM
Personally i think of a atm as a way to get some btc quick and easy. When this becomes a law its going to be like a exchange, but i dont see the advantages anymore.
found a article btw:
