Playing Black jack sounds much better than the odds being described above - hence likely the reason that hardly anyone mines solo unless they have enough hashpower to hit on a weekly or maybe monthly basis or so.. which probably would cost quite a bit of money. I suppose if you cannot generate enough hashpower to attempt to hit close to 10--12 times per year, then likely you would have to join a pool. This post likely demonstrates part of the reason that I am not a miner.
My favorite pool back in the day was p2pool because it was decentralized. Do those sort of pools still exist?

Since you didn't bother to mention what country you were referring to I will do the same. (see how easy it is to manipulate with graphs and numbers).
Changed my mind, my graph is for Sweden, I assume yours is for the UK since that's where LFC lives.
Kudos for keeping the deaths low. Unfortunately, 1500 Americans are dying from it every day.

You honestly install an app for a dildo People seem to get more stupid than i thought, but in the end i think Einstein was correct with his assumption that the only thing bigger then the universe is the stupidity of mankind Are these actual "hacks"? Or is this just a user clicking "Confirm Transaction" without paying attention to what it's asking?

Sadly, I also feel the same. It would have been so much better for him to be a man about it and admit defeat. But instead of facing the facts, he seems to be moving the goalposts on every failure. OK, he may now be selling fewer PlanB hats, but that's his own problem. Bitcoin is fully alive and kicking last time I checked.
For me, the best "model" is the White Paper itself. Halving = supply reduction by half / 4-year period. That's enough for me to know for a fact that "it's going up forever, Laura!" That's a qualitative assessment that's good enough for me. As for quantitative, short-term, Crystal BallTM predictive models, I'll leave those to the resident magicians, purely for amusement purposes, with the occasional collateral damage (read: mindrust events caused by masterluc).
No plan is flawless. We haven't developed psychohistory yet. When the model breaks, adjust it.

One thing that I've always wondered though: with the 18650 cell being cylindrical, won't there be wasted space between them in the pack? Wouldn't it be better to design rectangular-shaped cells, so that they are stacked more efficiently in the pack?
Packing circles is approximately 91% space-efficient. I figure the weight and cost are far more important than a tiny amount of space.
