141  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This Will Never Work on: November 23, 2013, 05:38:37 PM
After 4 hours of trying to get this blue fury miner to work it seems impossible  Huh

You're not going to get meaningful help without posting details.
142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: creating bitcoin addresses seams not random - why? on: November 23, 2013, 05:35:15 PM
By "same result" you mean you got the same addresses after deleting wallet.dat? That is a Bad Thing. What OS are you on?
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Play or Invest : 1% House Edge : Banter++ on: November 23, 2013, 05:18:23 PM
Are you the same E.Snowden who just turned 0.001 BTC into 26 BTC or so with this bet?  Nice work!

Oh geez. Wow. Just thinking about that in USD makes me feel like developing a gambling addiction.
144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Parity watch -> Who's next? on: November 23, 2013, 05:13:08 PM
What happened to OP on this great thread?  We're close to $10bn market cap... where does that put us now?

Apparently he deleted most of his recent posts, so he must have a reason to hide.
Dunno that move is somehow connected with the fact he has recently become a multi-millionaire (search for "Vladimir's club") or with his recent trust rating of -4.

Slightly offtopic, but can I get a sparknotes version of the Vladimir thing? The thread seems pretty old for him to have gotten the negative trust from Goat so recently.
145  Other / Meta / Re: How to get my incorrect trust rating removed ? on: November 23, 2013, 05:07:08 PM
The trust system on here is fucked.

I've posted in the past that someone can have 50 negative ratings but appear as trust 0 to most users. Now with this episode I agree with your assessment Smiley
It seems to work for me just fine. Maybe untrusted feedback needs to be a little more hidden, but you show up (rightfully) as 0 to me.

Thank you for improving privacy, theymos.   Roll Eyes

What's up with the rolly eyes?
147  Other / Meta / Re: [REQ] 2FA - it really isn't that hard. on: November 23, 2013, 05:01:39 PM
Seconded. 2fa is a great second layer of defense, especially in the wake of recent forum password thefts.
148  Other / Off-topic / Re: gonna pop! on: November 23, 2013, 04:53:39 PM
How's that hindsight working out for you?
149  Other / Off-topic / Re: Question about Silk Road on: November 23, 2013, 04:51:09 PM
Mind you, some people did get caught when they bought from undercover cops.

151  Other / Politics & Society / Definition of "aggression" on: November 21, 2013, 02:38:04 AM
Can someone give me a nice definition of "aggression" under the NAP?

It should be applicable to:

- Overuse of antibiotics
- Pollution
- Weaponized plant seeds (e.g. to harm farms)

- Assassination markets
- Injury markets (like the above)
- Theft markets  (like assassination markets, it's just bets)
- Other prediction markets about the economy, etc

- Obscene signs built on private land that can be seen for miles
- Obscene music
- Damagingly loud music
- Obscene actions (like the above, also sex, etc) on public land

- Purchase of large amounts of land as to make transportation very difficult
152  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Competition in the Emergency Room Marketplace? on: November 21, 2013, 02:28:15 AM
Ambulances are required by law

This is where the free market stops.

Ambulances are required by law Ambulances are required by common sense and the urgency of it being an "emergency"...
153  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: November 21, 2013, 02:14:32 AM
Getting this error every time I send some coins: "An outpoint is already spent [(94024681, 1)]" - using the Firefox extension, v3.1.3.

Doesn't seem to affect the transaction though. Any ideas?

I had an error sending coins where the account balance was told as 0 - "not sufficient funds." Resending again worked fine. I was using custom send.
154  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TradeFortress is a scammer. on: November 19, 2013, 04:53:49 PM
On a more positive note, My CoinLenders balance has been restored 100%  It wasn't a lot and would have been easy to brush it off but it was credited back.

so it sounds like you are good friends with Tradefortress! >> gotcha!  Wink

It's called telling it like it is. Only thing you "gotcha" is a large case of stupid and pretty red letters under your name.
*obligatory Wink

155  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitcoinStore.com (Beta) - Electronics super store with over 500K items! on: November 18, 2013, 10:25:04 PM
Account creation was painless - no username required, and the shipping address automatically matched the billing one. I figured I might as well since I'll be buying more from BitcoinStore. I have never had a problem with the products I ordered.

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: November 18, 2013, 02:09:38 PM
Please don't deposit using inputs.io until further notice.

The Just-Dice account just had its balance stolen, despite using a very secure password, google-authenticator, and GPG.

Your whole site is dodgy.

Wouldnt play here in a fit.

Please elaborate on your reasons for suspicion for those of us who are not so savvy.
157  Economy / Lending / Re: Lending up to 0.05BTC use your account as collateral! on: November 15, 2013, 04:14:21 PM
Well, good luck. Make sure to change the email address too, or the person could take your 0.05 BTC and then use password recovery.

The most resilient FPGA mining contract!
159  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TradeFortress is a scammer. on: November 12, 2013, 03:04:29 PM
How the Ripple thing worked was that TF gave people a Ripple BTC debt instrument "worth" some BTC, but without any intention to pay.

Isn't that basically the definition of a scam?
He wrote a bad cheque, with no intention of honouring it.

I guess it's OK if you tell people you don't plan on honoring it.
160  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitcoinStore.com (Beta) - Electronics super store with over 500K items! on: November 12, 2013, 02:59:34 PM
Seems to be a lot of problems arising. I'm not going to be placing any orders until people confirm their issues have been resolved. This site looked so promising. But, it's been running a long time and have had glowing reviews so I'm sure it will be resolved.

I did get my order through, and didn't lose any money, so you could call it resolved. If you want the actual bug resolved, I can't confirm that until I need another piece of electronics equipment.
