This guy even has a negative rating in BTO+1. I'd stay away.
322  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: August 08, 2013, 05:58:41 PM
Donator/VIP/Staff drama.
Right, but what is the problem?

Theymos this is why we are upset.

Who's "we?" Just Goat?
323  Economy / Lending / Re: small loan on: August 08, 2013, 05:57:55 PM
You need money to sell something?
No, I got scammed on BTCjam. And I am currently trying to sell that loan...BTCjam lets you put up a note to try to sell the debt. Well anyway I was expecting that BTC back and I got missed payments on that loan. I then looked the person up and found out he was a scammer.

So, what are you trying to say here? You're expecting the money back so you're going to pay it forward by scamming someone on this forum? Cheesy
No, I am not expecting it back. I just need a little help until I get paid.
Fun fact: "new account + loan request" is red flag #1.
324  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: August 08, 2013, 05:54:01 PM
Hey all,

I'm currently working closely with a new 28nm developer, with an extremely reputable team. Because of this, Cognitive with be at the forefront of mining, and certainly not left in the dust Wink I'll be posting an update soon!
Tell them they don't get paid if their deadlines work like BFL's.
325  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a .5 loan on: August 08, 2013, 05:52:40 PM
Willing to work with ya. What kinds of collateral are you looking for?
Easily sell-able items that can be mailed cheaply or sent over the internet. Shares on btct and friends work. iPhones work. Steam accounts do not work.

Even with the new news, it's still not on track.

32M sure is a lot of money...
Problem's right here.

Edit: answer is NO:

A bit weird that  the moment SD is sold the profits start plummeting Tongue Poor new owners.

*tinfoil hat theory on previous management using secrets they know (as it wasn't changed) to cheat*
*other tinfoil hat theory that shareowner betting to prop up prices has ceased*

lol, what's even going on here?
329  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone know how I can insert a flash video in the post? on: August 08, 2013, 02:42:48 AM
Not possible. Take a screenshot of the video player and insert that as a linked image with [url] and [img] tags.
330  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-08-07 - Soylent - Now Accepts BitCoin As Payment Option on: August 07, 2013, 09:18:45 PM
Do these people dislike food for humans?
Presumably because it's expensive, time-consuming, and unhealthy.
331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Our company is now accepting bitcoin on: August 07, 2013, 09:13:43 PM
How are you doing it? Coinbase?
332  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info wallet won't send SMS two factor auth code on: August 07, 2013, 09:12:01 PM
Huh.

I was just going to suggest that if you needed the money ASAP, you could import the backed-up privkeys somewhere else. I can't help the actual issue though.
333  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info wallet won't send SMS two factor auth code on: August 07, 2013, 08:50:36 PM
Did you back up your wallet?
334  Economy / Lending / Re: looking to sell joeyjmr8484 btcjam debt on: August 07, 2013, 05:00:58 PM
Lowest ask: 0.17 BTC
Highest bid estimate: 0.0003775 BTC

... No trade will occur here.

I'd bid 4 satoshis, but TX costs would make that not feasible.
335  Economy / Lending / Re: fast microloan on: August 07, 2013, 04:58:01 PM
Uh... is that your sock or something?

No collateral
no rep
new account
straight to lending forum

How is this going to work?

If the guy wants to get a scammer tag, for $10, then, so be it. I need the rep, I considered it to be an acceptable risk.
You forget that accounts can be quickly made. How many 5 post accounts are you willing to spend $10 on to get them scammer-tagged? No matter your answer, the number of 5 post accounts looking to scam will be higher.
336  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will Canonical hit their Ubuntu Edge goal? on: August 07, 2013, 04:56:18 PM
Here, another infographic: http://ubuntu-edge.info/#total

Lookin' grim... Bets are .2 vs 1.05 right now.
That graph is a nice find. Looks like it hit the tipping point of despair ~10 days ago

338  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Bitmessage - P2P Messaging system based partially on Bitcoin on: August 07, 2013, 03:47:43 PM
Edit 2:  Nevermind again, I just opened keys.dat in a text editor and saw that it was pretty obvious how to import addresses.  I'm all set now.  Awesome.  Thank you everybody involved!!!!!
Actually my script spits out passwords that you import via the Gui (deterministic address).

Quote
Edit 3:  It seems to do addresses that start with BM-2 or BM-2D really really fast, and everything else is super slow.  Is that some random anomaly on my part?
Run
Code:
python bmgen.py -k B
And you'll see the reason. That script doesn't do any validity checking.
339  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Ubuntu Edge - Simply put, Innovation. on: August 07, 2013, 01:33:52 AM
Doesn't look like they're going to make it. A real shame, too.
340  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: August 06, 2013, 08:56:38 PM
They didn't even vanitygen themselves some 1dice addresses. 1/10 effort.
