Don't they have more problems to worry about there then stolen electricity? They do have problems, only makes it worse for the people who stole the electricity. Why steal from your own people when they are struggling to survive? I may have done worse to a government starving its people.. This is what happens when you vote left, remember..

Ain't gettin my BTCs no way..
I'd totally take my change in BTC!!!!!!
Demand a BTC discount for sure..
Exchange rates are artificially low because those guys had to go through all the hassle and jump through all the hoops to be able to buy at those prices.. Because the man makes it so hard to buy BTC because he is scared..

Well, it hasn't spiked exponentially like the last time BTC was at these levels so it is on much more solid support this time it seems.. A spike from here may be yet to come, who knows.. It would have to go silly high for me to sell..

And if this puzzle goes like this: ETF Approval, Europe Crisis gets bigger... etc then maybe we need buy plots to the moon already...
You forgot to add March 15th to that list. This year will be fun times to watch.. Why? Date that U.S. debt ceiling freezes in at $20T, U.S. govt runs out of budget money by mid-summer unless debt ceiling is raised or DRASTIC govt budget cuts happen (like hundreds of $B slashed). Or a default (yeah right). Good luck with that Trump-supporters! Either sounds fine to me.. I'm hoping to do some fracking soon..

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins?
|
on: February 17, 2017, 02:46:54 PM
|
I have all my coins in on an online trading site (paxful) (low volume)
I plan on making a large investment very soon, and want to safely store all of my coins I.E I basically want to drop a couple thousand, and keep them in the safest possible way, where I can revisit them in 5-10 years or so and reap the benefits, or cry about the loss.
What is the best way to do this, and what's the best way of ensuring a backup?
How do you currently store your coins
thanks in advance for any inputs
Cold on loaded physical bitcoins..

I support applying jurisdiction over citizenship, not the territory. If Saudi citizen committed crime in Singapore he must be sent to Saudi Arabia and prosecuted under Sauidi laws. It is 100% fault of Singaporean authorities who granted visa to this man and local court can give some lashes to visa officer (just a joke, personally I am against caning, monetary fine will be the best option). Then he will think twice before issuing visas!
They would likely execute the girl in saudi arabia and let him go free.. So if a guy from Holland comes and smokes crack in America our laws don't apply to him because his laws allow it? Should a guy from suadi arabia be able to kill his daugter in America because it is legal for him in saudi? Can I go sell AR-15s in Mexico and Germany because it is legal for me here in the USA? Could I open carry a locked and loaded assault rifle wearing a bullet proof vest in other countries all over the world because it is legal for me where I live? Don't think any of those would go over well..

seeing how much volume has so quickly jumped to other exchanges show that it really has nothing to do with the "chineese" dominating bitcoin, it's just that everyone flocks to the best exchanges to use at the time, the high frequency day traders, they are from all over the world..

So.. do you all think his immigration executive decision was good ? I think it was stupid behavior.. with more to come of course Yeah, Trump is doing excellent.. Everyone said that he would never actually do what he said he was going to do.. Trump has done more things that he promised campaigning in like 2 weeks than obama did in 8 years.. Thanks to Trump, things are looking good.. The last thing we need are dependent immigrants that are completely incompatible with democracy and freedom, and want to kill us..

Economy / Speculation / Re: UK Exchange Coinfloor Embraces 'No-Fee' Bitcoin Trading
|
on: January 18, 2017, 01:31:31 AM

It is perfectly possible to cover their expenses with fees on "bitcoin withdrawals, as well as GBP deposits and withdrawals". 0 fees is a perfect environment for liquidity providing trading bots. However a maker-taker fee structure that is free for makers can accomplish the same thing while preventing wash trades.
We are planning for this to be a long term, sustainable fee model. The fiat deposit/withdrawal fees are now percentage fees (in addition to banking / blockchain fees) and we are investigating margin trading to earn revenue from loans. We have strong liquidity now, with consistent and reliable market makers. This isn't something we're doing purely to attract liquidity, it's something we're doing because we believe it's the best fee model - for us and our clients. No Americans allowed eh? https://coinfloor.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/201745793

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Really no talk of segwit / big blocks..
|
on: January 15, 2017, 02:47:31 AM

If they cut the transaction time from 10 minutes to 5 minutes and kept the blocksize the same for the five minute transaction that would, effectively, double the total throughput.
(facepalm) i understand the human utility of desire for faster confirms... but but to do such, has many ramifications and complexity and having to change many things that can affect and risk many things. EG it messes with the coin creation metric. difficulty rate. and also difficulty retarget time. and many other things. to implement it is not only far more tweaking bitcoin away from bitcoins main rules that should not be changed. but also to implement and activate is more of a hard controversial fork that could more easily lead to an intentional split. Wouldn't it also still be doubling what is added to the blockchain in new blocks, instead of 2mb every 10 min you have 1 mb every 5 min for a total, still, of 2mb every 10 minutes, and still be adding the same, if not more, data transmission between nodes that is the bandwidth concern..
