Big dump..
WTF just happened?
442  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 10, 2020, 05:39:04 AM
I think you guys might be overestimating the pump value on BTC that the China Virus has..

If I was a Chinese guy and had a lot of extra money, sure, putting it into Bitcoin would probably be a good idea rather than holding it in CNY or Chinese stocks..

If I was a Chinese guy with some Bitcoin but not a lot of extra money, I'd be selling the crap out of Bitcoin to buy prepping supplies like food and water to hold up for months without needing to go out..

If this was happening where I live.. I would probably be trading some/much of my Bitcoin for a bunch of 5.56Coin, .308Coin, ParabellumCoin, food, and other supplies, if I needed to..

If this was threatening me, I wouldn't be too concerned about making money on Bitcoin, unless I had so much money I didn't need it all for supplies..

Me personally, I am pretty well prepped already..
I'm a bit of a collector of useful things, so I already have some decent preps like power generation equipment in many forms, offgrid heat, masks/respirators, radios, hunting/fishing supplies, Likely EMP proof vehicles, etc.. etc..
Actually I think I even have everything lying around to build a Steam Powered Electricity Generator, to turn anything from wood to Used Tires into electricity, if I wanted to..

If it's time to buy a load of food and gasoline, top up, in this current market I wouldn't need to dip into my Bitcoins to buy these things, nor would it be the most convenient way..

Just saying.. I'm not sure that a Pandemic would be 100% good for Bitcoin..

Vod or Nullius ... ratings against me

Literally nobody cares about their ratings man.. You can just lol @ them..

nullius just had to screw around and get himself removed from DT completely, even after I and others tried to advise him against it..
The others probably won't be removed over just this but everyone knows some/many of their ratings are trash, including these as further proof, and will just ignore it, if not bias them towards your favor after reading them..
445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RUSSIA develop electromagnetic missiles! on: February 10, 2020, 03:40:06 AM
what would be the point if there was nothing left of the major cities around the world that were are all familiar with?

All war is terrible.. No nuclear bombs are not 100% clean.. Death and devastation are terrible..
I would absolutely NOT want any of this to occur no matter who won or lost..

The best way to make sure it does not happen is for them to know that they cannot win against the USA.. Deterrence..
The leaders know, but most common people do not..
446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 10, 2020, 02:59:55 AM
I respect your theory of dollar cost averaging and "investing" over time and all that stuff and would say that is quite a safe strategy, but your style/theory doesn't apply to everyone..

Trading is also NOT a way to accumulate BTC or wealth.
trading should not be a means to accumulate BTC
Trading is also NOT a way to accumulate BTC or wealth.
trading should not be a means to accumulate BTC
you should not be planning on building your BTC wealth based on trading

This is a good thing to tell newbs but I don't consider it true for me at all..
I have only ever bought $100 worth of BTC in my life!!! In 12/2017 at the same time I sold about .8 BTC for $$.. Thinking about buying some back..
I have NOT "bought in" to BTC/Crypto EVER.. Ever ever..

In 2014 I got 0.01BTC for FREE from a friend sent to my Cryptsy account.. That's all.. Just 0.01BTC worth around $5..
Between then and the time Cryptsy crashed I traded that 0.01 BTC into over 2 BTC.. Trading ONLY.. Thousands of trades bro.. I wish that never would have ended..
I sold a decent chunk of that for car parts like an idiot @ <$500/BTC.. So stupid..

Traded Polo mainly for a while after that.. Handle there was "SatSnatcher".. Scalping satoshis.. Always scalping satoshis..
Went into arbing altcoin exchanges for a while.. Made meager profits..
Then I made some nice profits TRADING XCP assets, lol..
Think I did about 400% gain on what I put into Huobi...

Dude I have probably LOST on 2,000+ trades easy across many many exchanges, but won more that I lost with a good risk/reward ratio..

99% of ALL crypto I have ever owned has ALL been made trading exchanges.. ALL OF IT!! I've never bought anything..

I got into crypto TO TRADE.. I didn't know shit about crypto, didn't know shit about trading either, but I wanted to try trading, and I fell in love with Bitcoin..

You don't have to believe me but I'm telling you that that is the god's honest truth..

Check the date of this post I made..
I started with .01 BTC and made over 14,000% profit my first season (winter) trading.. Thousands of trades..
One of my first few posts on Bitcointalk..
And when I said that I meant that I increased my BTC stash by 14,000%, not $$ or anything else..
I have always only traded to increase my BTC stash no matter what, no mater what that meant in $..

You can say all you want that "Trading is NOT a way to accumulate BTC" but that just is not correct 100% of the time..
Trading has been MY way of accumulating BTC and I am proof otherwise..

I have never made much of shit lending here or with signatures or anything.. Anything I have made on Bitcointalk is very insignificant.. I haven't been paid for a signature here in YEARS..

"Investing" $20 a week into BTC seems silly to me WHEN I SHOULD BE TRADING..

I am not very risk-adverse..
I have been poor, I have been homeless in a shelter, I have been to jail, I have lost everything, I've been there..
I look back on it now as a fun and adventurous time of my life.. It taught me that I can do almost anything.. I can bicycle through a city in a blizzard.. I can hike miles.. I'm confident that I could be dropped off in any city in America with absolutely nothing and figure out how to make it work..
I can hardly believe what all I can do if I just decide to do it.. I can come back from anything..

I have also worked some of the most demanding jobs imaginable.. I can go work 100 hours a week across the country if I want to, on remote well locations, and bank.. I've worked in the Detroit ghetto where few dare to go, and you eat lunch at bulletproof Taco Bells that have obviously been shot up a time or 2, shots all still in the glass.. I'm not scared to do it again if I need to, but I don't like to spend my life that way..
Just another excellent adventure, but it gets unpleasant after a while..

That is a good thing that you are able to live without a lot of expenses, and likely means that it should be easier to reach your goal.
I am a very self-reliant person.. What most people spend money on I do myself..
I can work on/fix almost F'n anything.. I'm a bit of a collector of tools..
I also don't waste my money buying trash..
I only like to buy things that last forever, are useful, and hold value, as much as possible.. I like classic/vintage stuff over modern junk anyway so it works well..

ideology should not be your central motivator
Some things are more important than money..

As far as Debt..
I have plenty of assets other than Bitcoin that could easy be sold to pay off all of my debt..
I could sell less than half my cars alone and be debt free.. I don't owe a cent on my property and it is worth many times what my "debts" are, or cars..
I could go work like a slave for a couple months and pay it..
No big deal..
447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RUSSIA develop electromagnetic missiles! on: February 10, 2020, 01:38:06 AM
Even if either side stop developing fighter jets and missiles they have enough nuclear bombs between them to destroy the world many times over. If we use the snowball in hell analogy then neither population dwelling in major cities throughout Russia and the USA will have any chance if they fire nukes at each other.

Nuclear bombs are not as "dirty" as most people think.. Nothing compared to a Chernobyl or Fukushima.. (During Fukushima I was actually chatting with a nuclear engineer that happened to be a crypto trader)
The US alone have detonated over 1,000 nuclear bombs and the world is just fine.. Many even in our own deserts.. A nuclear bomb is a good quick clean burn as opposed to a dirty smolder..

Russia's nukes also mean almost nothing if we can zap them out of the sky.. I have my doubts that they would be effective against us unless they shot ridiculous amounts of them all at once, then many could hit, but then it would be all out war with no holding back where we would absolutely dominate..

Our military tech is so advanced that we may as well be aliens compared to basically any other country..
We spend more money on just our top secret projects than other countries spend in total..
448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 10, 2020, 01:15:33 AM
I got my $3k number by extrapolating....
....
333,333.333333

hodl for 300k

I predicted a low of $3k about a year and a half ago and the next high around $300k..

The $3k low prediction held up pretty well and I'm no less confident in the 300k prediction since then, with about the same seriousness that I was saying "BTC to $10k" in 2014-2015..

I think $100k would be quite a conservative prediction for the peak after this next halving..

Nice prediction, interesting to hear you think it'll go to $300K next cycle. With most people believing that prices will only go 5-10x from ATH ($10K0-200K) until topping out, given the similarities with the recent 2012 style correction, I think we could be leading up to a much larger bubble top than 2018. I don't just mean higher, I mean more parabolic and for longer than 2017. Think 2012 leading into 2013 with a harsh "fake top" correction around $100K. Fiat collapse style parabolic, all the signs are there to take Bitcoin to an incomparable value with fiat.

I'm not sure it will go to 300k but I don't doubt it..
I get the 300k number very simply by comparing the previous ATH of 20000 to the one before that which was 1200.. If it does the same thing again..
20,000/1200 = X/20,000 = 333,333.333333

It would go to 333k just by repeating the past.. But it does not necessarily have to exactly repeat the past.. Could be higher or lower..

I really like this Etoro commercial actually..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSnAUHTyksY

That commercial is about exactly the reason I HODL, but if you look at the entire price history of BTC, it has done that same thing over and over again many more times than even the commercial shows, further reinforcing the pattern..

My long term BTC HODL TA is very simple and my short term TA is extremely short term being more based on instinct and watching the books live than anything the charts have done..

The way I actually like to "trade" I don't use charts much at all, but rather watch the books.. But I prefer to trade smaller/medium sized markets that are not on too many exchanges so you can see the entire market by watching only 1 2 or 3 exchanges..

I haven't really "traded" BTC/Fiat all that much.. Maybe only around 500 trades mostly on Huobi and some on Gdax..
Man I loved Huobi so much with it's 0% trade fees.. So perfect for my trading style of just trying to scalp small changes..
Hated Gdax with it's high fees and insane market maker bots that I couldn't really compete with..
It was pretty easy trading BTC at that time too when okcoin, huobi, and btcc were obviously leading the market so you didn't have to watch the rest of the exchanges really..
It's also almost cheating to trade a bull market like that, lol..

I don't even know what exchanges I can trade anymore..

Observing BTC looking fine at 10158..
449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RUSSIA develop electromagnetic missiles! on: February 09, 2020, 11:17:38 PM
US systems did not attempt to stop those 16 or so ballistic missiles.

We aren't going to show our cards/capabilities to stop a few little poppers that barely make it on their own anyway..
The same as we won't be showing off our top secret aircraft, and lose that unknown advantage, when a regular old plane designed in the 50's will do the job just fine..

I think it's been over 10 years now since we have admitted that we can take down airplanes with our lasers.. Add another 10 years of world class development to that and guess what level they are likely at now as far as anti-missile defense capability..

The US were unable to protect their own military bases from old soviet-made junk dated by 1960s.
We didn't try to..

they're spending $32 billion on the development of new armored vehicle while entire russian military budget is less than $30 billion.

And you think that Russia has a snowball's chance in hell?

451  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Targeted Gangstalking Information Thread on: February 09, 2020, 10:34:46 PM
I could imagine thinking multiple people are always watching me if I lived in a densely populated area where you are always around a lot of people..

If you feel this way I suggest getting the hell out of the city and go out in the country were it would be unusual for any other people to be within atleast a few hundred yards of your house so it would be much more obvious that they are trying to watch you and not just minding their own business..

I mean..
Even if a car stops on the road near my house I go out there and see what they are up to.. Have helped a few people with broken cars/bikes/trailers and such.. Lost ambulances..

Anyone walking down the road my dogs are right out there at the edge of their territory there keeping a very good eye on them and alerting me..

It would be very hard to stalk me and me not notice.. Then good luck getting past my dogs to get even close to my house..
I'll also say it would be incredibly unsafe for anyone to snoop around my property for more reasons that just my doges..

You also would not be successfully tailing me in my car, because you would be one of the only other cars around, so very obvious.. Nowhere to blend in..

If you think you are being stalked, get to a location where it would be much harder to stalk you and get away with it..

If you see 1000 people a day it could be very easy to think some of them are stalking you..

That first video is 100% not filmed in China at all, look at the sign 20 seconds in, look at what they're wearing, listen to the chatter

Oh well it got me..
I am not familiar enough with the various asian social characteristics you mention to recognize such things..

You know of any videos that are for sure the Wuhan market in question?
453  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 09, 2020, 10:06:01 PM

... yes, this is new ... up to now the narrative was spreads in droplets like the flu. wash hands, cover your mouth when coughing and nose when sneezing keep 6 feet separation, etc, etc. If true every droplet can essentially vapourize and spread in a fine dust-like plume wherever the wind takes it, ie. it's far more contagious than the flu, not just a little bit more.

It also explains why they lock-downed Wuhan on relatively low numbers of cases. And the other cities/regions.

Could be BS though, hope it is.

Wouldn't this imply that their was specific foreknowledge of the virus back when iirc the official narrative was they weren't even sure it was human-human transmissible?

I hope it is BS too, and am leaning towards it being BS, because I have never heard of any other contagion that can be contracted at "hundreds of meters"..

No, it's not unheard of this is why measles is so contagious ... it has R_o ~ 14

It's due to specific property of diameter of the virus, it's survival time outside the body, droplet size it is in solution with (type of fluids and coughing induced), air temperature, humidity, air turbulence, etc, i.e. much physics. Measles can spread from one end of a football stadium to another or linger in the air in a room for up 2 hours after being exhaled by the carrier.

edit: and yes would imply foreknowledge.

https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/409903O/respiratory-protection-against-biohazards.pdf

According to 3m CoV is about .125 uM in size.. so not so small..

Measles Virus Particles
"The sizes of MeV-like particles were distributed
between 50 and 1000 nm and the major distribution peak was found for particles with diameters of
350-400 nm"
https://www.osaka-med.ac.jp/deps/b-omc/articles/532/532daikoku.pdf

350nm=0.350um so measels is about 3X the size of CoV on average?
But possibly some are as small as 0.05um?

Fuck, I am too drunk to determine who won. At first instance it looks like it was eddie13. Is that right?

P.S.: On other news... WE ALL WON Tongue
I believe so. I'm 8 seconds slower. Congratz eddie13

If, after sobriety has been reclaimed, and/or rigorous examination of the photo finish determines me the winner, the address in my profile is good Smiley
-redacted-

https://youtu.be/qR7U1HIhxfA <needs a BTC remix..

I suggest addresses be communicated via PM. It makes it all too easy to link user to address (receiver and sender).

Yeah... But in fact the receiver address is indeed eddie13 profile bitcoin address and the sending address is in fact a virgin (no previous history) address I publicly used here to receive the Vegeta prize from LFC and also an address I have "staked" here in the forum.

So both are already completely username linked addresses and should be treated as such with no real need to hide it.

@LFC I hope you don't mind I funded my silly game (and maybe some others in the future) indirectly from your pocket lol
Hey that makes you a sponsor I guess!  Grin

If he would have requested it via PM I would have gladly obliged but other than that I'm not trying to be all anonymous, especially over $10...
It's too late by years for eddie13 to be anon.. I'll go under the radar some day if I feel I need/want to..

OK..
I think this thread is worse than 4chan as far as the mexican beer conspiracy goes.. lol

Contagious at hundreds of meters and develops no immunities so you can get infected over again?
We would all be dead..

I don't live anywhere near a city, but have a kid in the house that goes to public school..
A possibly 2 week non-symptomatic but contagious incubation period on top of "hundreds of yards" and "repeat infections"..
No chance..

That's an end of the world situation.. Must be BS.. Or I don't care how many guns and masks and food you think you have on your secluded property.. Sooner or later you're game over..

unstoppable supersonic speed missiles
[/quote]

The USA satellite, aircraft, naval vessel, and land mounted lasers travel at the speed of light, much faster and more quickly aimed than their stupid rockets..
If they shoot rocket propelled ICBMs at US, I think they will be scratching their heads wondering why they plopped into the ocean..

We agreed not to use our lasers against human targets at the Geneva convention, otherwise, we could just cut your skyscrapers/cities in half with them anywhere on the planet..
But we are free to zap any of your missiles out of the sky, satellites, and possibly even conventional equipment including some human casualties, all that we want..
But only when it is worth it to us to reveal our true power level, will we let our actual abilities be known..

All of the other countries brag about their top technology, while the USA keeps tight lipped about ours for decades, and is always decades ahead..

Those flying saucers you hear about. .. .. . . . those are probably ours..

Don't try it..

459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 09, 2020, 07:31:08 AM

He had felt that he did not quite have enough in BTC to sell during the last price rise to $20k, but I think that he got more frustrated than you, LFC, in terms of his NOT really wanting to talk or think about the BTC price falling matter... because that would just bring him further from NOT having enough to just retire...  so largely just preferred to HODL through it all, as far as I understood to be what he was doing.

It takes a quite a bit of balls just to HODL through and to try not to think about the cyclical matters too much....

That is basically where I'm at..

I really have barely any BTC compared to most of you, which at the current price is not life changing either way, so I might as well just HODL..

I haven't made/accumulated much BTC since before the $20k peak, as my ways of accumulation are mostly eliminated by the modernization/regulation of exchanges shutting down/shutting me down, so it just is what it is..

Though, my retirement goal ambitions are much lower than most, I am satisfied with a more modest way of life, being a countryboy and all..
I don't need a $1mm estate and $500 dinners.. I only need a couple hundred K to become financially secure..

I think in my entire crypto career I have cashed out about 1.6 BTC for probably just under $10k total.. And I do regret it, but still have a bit more than that..
Most of what I have I have held from under $500..

I haven't ever really been in the position to "invest" into BTC, so all I have is what has been hard earned behind my keyboard, and I try to keep it..
I have a bit more BTC $ at current value than I have debt though, so their may be hope..

But, I am a BTC believer from a libertarian/anarchist point of view, so their is that keeping me HODLing too..

I think I have 0.12BTC riding 1:1 on the Trump election, Trump wins, so that will be the biggest loss/gain for me in quite a long time..

I really should get back into trading, but all the shit in trading I have been through, and narrowly escaped, is almost like PTSD to me, and I just can't Sad
I tried Binance for a bit and they just shut me down too Sad
Can't seem to find a signature deal..
Don't know wtf I'm going to do to satisfy my accumulation urge yet but I'm looking..
