to me, it is like a kind of unsolicited advice.

you are trying to put some kind of burden on me to study  ... ...  a sufficient amount of research about basics or whatever.

OK I'll stop..
682  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump doesn't care about the deficit, no one does. on: December 31, 2019, 01:28:06 AM
Trump talked about not possibly ever having to default on debt because the money can be printed around the 2016 election but I can't find the clip because youtube is so screwed these days all it will show me is cnn..

I remember an old argument for Bitcoin being that governments wouldn't be able to print money to fund wars and therefore would be much more beholden to the people's opinion in that it would actually cost the citizens something to go to war..

The fed has also been injecting hundreds of billions of $ into the repo market lately I believe I read..

684  Other / Meta / Re: Just leave the 2019 dispute. on: December 30, 2019, 11:54:27 PM
Now entering 2020, leave the bad things in 2019, that's better.

You may just get your wish because I expect the next DT roll may fix a lot of it..

If more DT1 would do their duty and clean itself up it would stop a lot of these things a lot faster.. It drags on because "good men fail to act"..
685  Other / Meta / Re: Trust Feature idea: give DT1 the ability to remove specific feedbacks from DT on: December 30, 2019, 11:40:25 PM
Every feedback could be voted on like a flag but with a lower standard
flag requires 3 more supporting users than opposing users to become active.
where it would be active as long as the support/oppose is any positive # (or 0?) like DT1..

OK idea but it might even further devalue feedback..

Still I am for higher standards for DT than simply "good outweighs the bad" like..
Instead of asking to remove someone's personal opinion it's better to move it to untrusted feedback with some voting.
and
If a DT member leaves bad feedback he can/should be voted off DT.
686  Economy / Reputation / Re: Offended, or who gets easily offended... on: December 30, 2019, 10:54:05 PM
I think he means like butt hurt..

especially those from stricter backgrounds and cultures who take offence easily.

687  Other / Meta / Re: IS GIVING RED-TRUST THAT NON-EXPLANATORY ? on: December 30, 2019, 10:35:27 PM
the main thing I don't understand on whole of the forum is why people curse this much ... like truly everyone
my ass..

You are right..
I use foul words sometimes when I shouldn't but I'm not sure if you could ever find me using them to insult anyone..
I try not to use insults in general..

-snip-

Well that sucks, even though it is a bit beside the point, it doesn't lend itself well to the point..
Not many of us survive the extreme scrutinization after being outspoken, but some of us do.. It hurts the point though..
688  Economy / Reputation / Re: More trust system abuse by Lauda on: December 30, 2019, 09:10:21 PM
OMG I covered my last post with this one on accident.. Whew OK, I found it in drafts and fixed it..

So the recent "Lauda topics" took away 6 inclusions.[1]

Switzerland is broken, but indeed, Trust has been getting out of hand for quite a while. Feedback from DT used to mean something, but nowadays anyone can be on DT and anyone can be tagged for anything.
I've partially read the topics recent on Lauda, but the number of topics is getting out of hand too[2]
[1] I must not be completely crazy then.. Rolling for new monthly DT soon right?
The last roll..
Theymos updated DT1, Lauda jumped from 1 to 11 inclusions on DT2
I believe the odds of that happening again are negative..

[2] I'm sorry I'm partly responsible for this, but seeing DT go to shit Grrrrrrrs me..
"good outweighs the bad" doesn't seem like the greatest standards to me..

Virtue signalling is basically bragging about your superior ethics and morals for no other reason than to get the satisfaction and popular support for speaking of it
Yes, also like Bernie Sanders advocating socialism, while owning 3 mansions, being filthy rich, and paying a lower tax rate than... Someone else..

(see the subtle praise, add it to your list of techniques).

The best lender on the forum, foremost gambling expert, CM manager, forum treasurer, one of the most trusted escrows, etc.. surely can find prettier things than me to stroke his ego, no?

All kidding aside, I have learned continually that he is a really good guy ever since early 2016 when he unsolicitedly PM'd me with good lending advice, even though I was competing against his service, back when we were both pretty young accounts.. Very nice of him even way back then, and he has sense built an impeccable reputation and remained a good hearted user, despite the fortune and fame..

I'll apply anyway, because this is like one of the only opportunities with dignity (payrate is not my motivation), but I highly doubt I'll be accepted due to CM business decisions about where they want hired posters to post, and my postings are in limited sections where they probably don't really need more CM sigs flying around, lol..
It's not personal, it's business..

Might not want my controversy either, but on the other hand may want to support my controversy.. Re: "plenty vocal"
I find we are quite likeminded when we cross paths but he is wise to stay out of the BS and stick to business considering all he has to lose, though I believe we could definitely use more outspoken users with the mind of DS to keep this forum headed in the right direction..

I should probably stop now..
690  Economy / Reputation / Re: More trust system abuse by Lauda on: December 30, 2019, 07:08:47 PM
I just looked at your trust, and causes me to wonder if you were just recently motivated into this perspective or you have always felt motivated regarding your perception of restrictions on your freedoms?

I do not expect you to take my word for it, but it is the result of my motivations on this perception and not the cause..

It has been years, but for a easy example this fine quote preceded the abuse..
I am completely against freedom of speech when it is used by virtue signallers like eddie13

And if you read that thread.. I was attacked for... ... .. .. .

Wait for it .. .. .. .. .. . .

Quote from: lauda
Quote from: eddie13
Freedom of speech is worth a very high cost.. Untold thousands have paid with their lives trying to ensure its continuity..
Bitcoin is at the heart of freedom of speech.. It is its purpose..
That has nothing to do with this forum. Stop appealing to emotions. More people will lose their lives while we tolerate this virtue signalling and selective use of "freedom of speech" nonsense by libtards. No wonder this place has become a collective garbage pile of baboons.

Too lazy to properly quote a locked thread right now but clicky here... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5201132.msg53072497#msg53072497
Better yet read the whole thread where Lauda threatens to flag me...
"
Quote from: lauda
FYI, I'm still debating whether virtue signallers warrant a type-0 flag
And I call the bluff and put 0.25BTC on it..

Quote from: eddie13
@Lauda I hereby challenge you to a 0.25BTC bet that you will not get a flag supported against me for advocating freedom of speech..
Which Lauda refused..
Too bad because I was really hoping to get that quarter bitcoin..

Which all happened before the abuse you see in my profile..

Just read it.. It's only 2.5 pages before lock..

But LoyceV took it to their rep thread about their website dedicated to monitoring Lauda's DT status so the conversation does expand a bit..

Quote from: LoyceV
I'm keeping an eye on IsLaudaStillOnDT.tk if this Flag happens.

It's possible even LoyceV thinks someone is getting out of hand here, but Switzerland and all, and I don't want to directly speak for this person either..

The tale of the "virtue signaler" reference you see in the abuse of power..  Cheesy

Title of that thread.. .. = "Freedom of speech"
lol

K I finds it..
LoyceV's thread title= "Is Lauda still on DT? (taking requests for other users too!)"
Bumping because of this:

@Lauda I hereby challenge you to a 0.25BTC bet that you will not get a flag supported against me for advocating freedom of speech.. @ 1 week after your flag creation, so it has time to settle in ya know.. Let everyone get some time to support or oppose..
But sadly..
"Challenge" denied.

Whatever.. IDK..
You don't seem to be very "in the know" about what is going on on this side of the forum.. (I do the same thing in the WO thread from time to time)
I don't fault you for that but this comes to mind..

You have rights to exercise your judgement and to express your opinions, don't you?
Not free from the harassment of power abuse obviously, and must be fought for at every step against those who seek to destroy such concepts..

in need of my actions to assist in fixing that something?

Nah.. It can and will be done with or without you..
692  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ | Up to 0.0375 BTC/w on: December 30, 2019, 06:26:46 PM
I better start writing up my script about how much murits, trusts, and powah I gots, and how great of a non-signature shitposter I have been for years to go along with my application..

Maybe also make many comments and condescendingly correct applicant's mistakes during the application process, and have a fancy tutorial ready to post about multiple ways to make a segwit addresses to help those applicants who can't read OPs and such, because they will surely have a good chance if they manage to get their app right the 2nd or 3rd time..
Maybe even lend DarkStar_ my mind of what applicants to choose and cheer some of them on because he would surely appreciate all my great suggestions..
These techniques seem to help.. Being vocal..

But yall better not copy me tho.. I said it first so I'm the only one allowed to do it this time, instead of my usual MO of staying silent and respectful during the process, which doesn't seem to work..
The more attention I can draw to myself the better right? Stay on his mind..

Maybe I should put the sig on right now and maybe even that foxy bicycle avatar.. Can't hurt right? And at the very least wearing them would probably get me a boost in received merits from the first glance of other users during my regular posting habits.. Everyone would think I'm a really cool guy..
Fake it till you make it?

Party in the CM apps thread coming soon!!
693  Economy / Reputation / Re: More trust system abuse by Lauda on: December 30, 2019, 05:56:20 PM
So, yeah, we cannot always have enough information regarding if we are dealing with someone who is genuinely attempting to contribute in a positive way or if that person is more trouble than they are worth in terms of scamming and scumminess.

Well, Lauda was fired from their staff position by theymos for engaging in a very likely extortion attempt..
Since the new engagement of the new trust system/flag system, Lauda has completely refused to comply with theymos's guidelines on the use of the trust system, and theymos has therefore blacklisted Lauda from DT1..
Now Lauda is getting belligerent with their use of the trust system and using it to abuse senior members, opposite to the guidelines of theymos ofcourse, for reasons such as Lauda believes I myself should not have freedom of speech..
I am completely against freedom of speech when it is used by virtue signallers like eddie13
Lauda is still on DT2 because users, such as yourself, are either too afraid of Lauda, or are betting that Lauda will prevail despite their blatant disrespect of the forum as stated above and just want to maintain their "in" in the end no matter the outcome..

This isn't about busting petty spammers and saving idiots.. This is about the political direction of this forum..
You either want this place to become facebook lorded over by Lauda who wishes to remove the freedom of speech of users who disagree with them, like me, to state my opinions, and wants to ban me for my words, or you want this forum to maintain the original ideals of it's founder Satoshi Nakamoto of liberty and freedom from authoritarian control by those such as Lauda..

theymos has also ~Lauda

theymos Distrusts these users' judgement:
3. ~Vod (Trust: +29 / =2 / -5) (1351 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
17. ~Lauda (Trust: +34 / =4 / -1) (1233 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

JayJuanGee Trusts these users' judgement:
1. theymos (Trust: +32 / =2 / -0) (DT1! (56) 6380 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
4. Vod (Trust: +29 / =2 / -5) (1351 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
14. Lauda (Trust: +34 / =4 / -1) (1233 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
Source: LoyceV's Trust list viewer.

It seems you are either confused or betting the middle.. IDK..

So which way do you want this forum to go?
Do you want it to ultimately be a safe place for idiots to be free of petty scammers, and users to be free of criticism, offence, and opposing ideals?
Or would you rather have it hold onto the founding principles Bitcoin is based on by it's creator and earliest supporters that made all of this possible?

A wise man once said "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

In that regard, any of us can consider and reconsider how much to engage in these kinds of battles or whether we spend more time participating in crypto threads

I am into Bitcoin for its principles of freedom and anti-authoritarianism.. These are the most important battles in the world to me and not just on this forum..
You have your fun with your pump and dump threads and I'll have my fun opposing any and all who wish to spite the very reasons Cryptocurrency and this forum came into existence..

I know why I'm in crypto, for the betterment of all humanity, possibly the greatest tool for peoples to gain freedom from oppression, and I will stand up against attempts of oppression as I am here..

I don't know why you are in crypto.. Likely not the same reasons as me it seems..
Maybe you are best off to play the seemingly safe centrist bet, if principles don't have anything to do with it for you.. IDK..

I'll take 1,000 petty scammers over a tyrannical dictator any day..

For topic following purposes..
695  Other / Meta / Re: IS GIVING RED-TRUST THAT NON-EXPLANATORY ? on: December 29, 2019, 09:32:24 PM
I still have faith in the community to do the right thing in setting and applying good standards..

The more and more such cases pile up the harder and harder it will be for them to pretend to ignore it and still feel good about themselves in their actions..
Also, the more people that stand up to it the less intimidated the rest will be..

Edit-
Even without making subjective, case by case judgements, if you control what the algorithm is, you control the outcome. If you control the inputs of the algorithm (such as by controlling who the merit sources are), you have even greater control over the outcome. Making the algorithm public reduces control somewhat but it makes it somewhat subject to manipulation.

I agree that merit, and therefore voting power, are poorly distributed.. Especially at first but it is improving I think..

Another factor is that those who were at odds with and rejecting the old trust system at the time, creating their own trust lists before the new trust system happened, got a huge jump start into DT, and a huge jump start into acquiring merits for voting power..

I think mostly the "scambuster" crowd, who have/had loyalty to Lauda, and I find tend to be more authoritarian and power-seeking in nature, those gunning to become DT and to create their reputations, who got the head start..
It has and will take time for us libertarian minded folk to balance that out, but will happen..

But it has sense been slowly balancing and the initial head start is loosing its advantage.. Very slowly.. Maybe another year..
696  Other / Meta / Re: IS GIVING RED-TRUST THAT NON-EXPLANATORY ? on: December 29, 2019, 07:20:38 PM
If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer.

You decide..
Who are you with?
theymos or Lauda?
697  Other / Meta / Re: IS GIVING RED-TRUST THAT NON-EXPLANATORY ? on: December 29, 2019, 06:32:00 PM
I'm not DT nor authoritarians.
How far removed from reality can you possibly be?
You are both DT and a tyrannical authoritarian..

I think the only reason you are on DT is that users are afraid to stand up against you..
"Good outweighs the bad" is a piss poor excuse to keep letting this go on..

~Lauda and fucking shut up
I finally did, and I'll shut up when I please (never)..

You are the one wasting everyone's time with this BS..

I am nut "butthurt" about my rating, lol..
I'm "butthurt" about you constantly intimidating other good users threatening to do to them what you have done to us..
Your power of intimidation needs to be removed from you.. Then you can go tagging/flagging whatever you want at your heart's content for all I care..

Merited OP
Merited the TS post
Countered
~Lauda added

Lauda is clearly flying off the handle with abusive negative feedback most recently including abusive trust against TS.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5210651.0
And abusive trust against me.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5206862.0
And now this..

It's well past time to ~Lauda people..
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust
Do it..

BayAreaCoins, Hhampuz, subSTRATA, AT101ET, teeGUMES, Steamtyme, Blazed, Lesbian Cow, chronicsky, dazedfool, minerjones, DaveF, ezeminer, notserp, wheelz1200, OgNasty, Gyfts, monbux, DiamondCardz, monkeynuts...
army of pajeets
You are all just "pajeets" to Lauda..

Do you really think that I care what theymos said
--and leaving somebody a neg based on that isn't what Theymos wants the trust system used for.
Have most of you guys forgot the lessening of the guidelines post the introduction of the flag system? Yes, you can now leave negatives for many more things (and no, it isn't abuse/misuse like it was before - to a lesser extent now). It is the flag system that's for scams nowadays, and the trust system for more "opinionated-things".

Trust flags

you should not use trust ratings to attack a person's opinions

Lauda has no respect for the guidelines given by theymos and is running around belligerently abusing their DT2 position..

It's time to end it..
We should not accept such runaway authoritarians here staying on DT..

Good outweighs the bad my ass.. DT should be held to a MUCH higher standard than that..

And my favorite..
I am completely against freedom of speech when it is used by virtue signallers like eddie13

Why have you been continually removing and replacing your shitrating if you didn't see any counters? Eh?

What counters? My trust list is unique, and I have not seen a single counter on any of the mentioned profiles. Countering counters consistently would be very harsh, yes.

Gyfts is probably talking about all of those counters by DT members countering your shitrating..

That is 4 DT members countering your feedback that you keep removing and replacing..
