Day 5

Day 4:Here are the results of day 4.
|

Day 3:On day the bot made a very tiny loss. I found the problem with the API I was developing so am finishing that.
|
|
|
Have you solved this problem, very interested in how.
Also sent you a PM.

This is all great news Marp! What's the plan after the two weeks is up (assuming a positive result)? Are you going to repeat with larger amounts, take a cut, or sell the bot etc? Is it possible to expand the bot to other currencies and/or benchmark against BTC? On the latter, it occurred to me that accumulating XPM in a declining market (vs BTC) isn't necessarily a positive thing...
After the test period is over I will open up another round of investing more funds and see how it goes. Currently I am concentrating on expanding into other exchanges and I might add other coins, although there needs to be some liquidity in the market and also not to much. XPM is actually quite perfect. When the market is turning it actually a great idea to have acquired XPM cheap.

Day 2:Also day 2 has been profitable as the bot made a return of 2.22%. Yesterday evening there were talks on mcxNOW on how to attack the bot. The chat was funny to read and although they outsmarted the bot in a way they couldn't do much harm as the bot is resilient enough to handle these kind of attacks. It merely costs some profitability. Nevertheless I added some more security to prevent exploiting. As I was adding to the the bot anyway I started to implement other exchanges, but got stuck on signing the api calls using c#. I will look in to this further today, but if anybody has done this before I would be very pleased with some help.

cheers
Of course I will, you are already on it.

Hoping all goes well with the test, if everything does work out I'll be looking to get a 25xpm stake in the next round.
Do you have a mailing list that i could sign up to? (My memory is so bad in 13 days ill have forgotten where the post was to get details :-)) would be great if you could send out an email when the next round is about to open :-)
All the best
Stuart
Hi Stuart, Thanks for your interest in the fund. I will put you on the list and contact you when I open the next round. Cheers Marple

im in at 25xpm
Hi Monkeynuts, At the moment I am not accepting funds anymore because I am testing if the fund is performing with larger sums as well. When everything goes well I will open up for more funding in 13 days.

Day 1Well the bot has been working now for almost 24hrs and generated a 1.67% return. It encountered a few problems which resulted in downtime. First of all the exchange rebooted and the bot didn't restart when the exchange came back online. Will look in that over the weekend. Furthermore I needed to adjust some logic to deal with partial filled orders and introduced a bug by doing so which resulted in some additional down-time. I semi-manually did an arbitration trade to acquire the necessary BTC so that the bot can trade both ways right way and didn't have to wait for itself to acquire enough BTC.

Hi Guys, The first funding round went rather smooth and just received the commitment for the last slots. As a matter of fact their will be a little overshoot due to my own funds which I forgot to calculate but that is not to bad I guess. This afternoon at 1200pm GMT I will fire up the bot and then try to give updates at noon GMT each day. Although the actual update time might very. Thank you all very much again for the trust and I hope the bot will maintain its profitability with the increased funds. Time will tell. As always, if you have questions, just shoot. Marple

I'll invest 50xpm
Me too, if I am not too late. My XPMs are just lying there. Even if I make a small return at least I will make something. As Marple said earlier (but it bears repeating), you may not make anything. In fact, you might lose something (or all). Only invest what you're willing to lose. I know, there is always the risk. Do I need to PM separately ? Already sent you an PM

So what is it, market maker? Grid trader? ...
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? it's CryptoBot! If my own bot-tests are anything to go by, the more you invest, the *less* you'll get back (in relative terms) due to the poor liquidity at exchanges right now. Yes that is why I am doing this test. See if the bot is scalable. It should be able to handle 1000XPM though.

Ok I have still room for 250 XPM
It is going fast don't be late or you have to wait 14 days for new opportunities. And in that round I will ask management fees for the newcomers in that round.

Hi Guys,
just to clarify as some people might have misunderstood.
I will not share the software, because the way the bot trades it is not possible to trade multiple instances. They will kill each other.
It is just a fund that operates the bot and pays the profits to its investors.

I find this idea incredibly intriguing and have been considering something like this myself. I have a lot of ideas but lack all of the pieces to bring those ideas together in a timely fashion. Some questions though...
I realize that sharing it would most likely negate its effectiveness, but it sure would be nice to know the types of things the algorithm is looking at and doing.
Are there stop losses in place? Does it trade across exchanges and take advantage of arbitrage if profitable?
Can you also give us a little background on your expertise and capabilities?
I'm sort of split 50/50 on wanting you to share this or not wanting you to share it, as any sharing may reduce the bot's effectiveness (and I obviously would want it to have maximum effectiveness were I to invest).
Anyway, good on you for bringing it here and not just sitting on it yourself. Subscribed for updates.
As much as i would like to tell you about the bot I will not do so. Because a smart person might even from the slightest information get an idea of making a copy cat. I can tell you however that it is purely based on price action and it using stop losses yes. I am not a big believer in moving averages, Bollinger bands etc when it comes to crypto. Liquidity is just too low for it to work IMO. It is not using arbitrage, that might be added in a future version to increase profitability. About myself. I am an engineer by trade and currently running a consultancy business for functional safety in the automotive industry. Before I started that I used to be the business unit manager of a trading education website which I built from scratch. Before that I was a software engineer. Because I very much like everything about economics I have always been very in trading all kind of stuff and that combined with loving to code I build trading bots I hope this answers your questions.

I Think my bot is trading against your probably yes.
