581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 01, 2020, 08:54:54 PM

If it doesn't have a scam accusation here in bitcointalk and their trust isn't red, I think its enough reason to test the casino. The users in the forum normally say something when they feel they are being cheated by the casino and if they do have proof they will provide it. And then active DTs will investigate a bit and when they find it authentic, it becomes a valid proof that will reflect to its reputation.

New casino doesn't mean dubious casino but it help if they have license to build reputation.
582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Openbazaar needs your support on: October 01, 2020, 04:39:13 PM

Sesen this project launched before 2016 and I think I still have it installed in my laptop. It wasn't updated since, I can't find people nearby using the project as well. They do have a competitor like the Bitbay Marketplace but even them Ithink also have a hard time getting people to build a community.

Openbazaar didn't try to launch a token as well and I guess, they could have succeeded if they just launched a token to build a community.  I don;t think its too late for it.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake token on swap platform on: September 30, 2020, 07:28:20 PM
literately malfunction token. The problem is the token can only 'buy', but can't be sold. There are tricks in the selling code that only the owner (scammer) can sell. Outside people can only buy but never sell successfully. The scammers create the pairing pool using their token, then buy it to create an up-shooting curve. They will come back later to collect all ETHs leaving the garbage tokens stuck in tricked buyer's account.
Decentralizeation comes with disadvantages and that's one of the challenges we are facing. A random person can create token out of no where and list on exchange without liquidity, you can only buy but cannot sell this tokens, it's ridiculous.

They sometimes mimic token that has been listed on exchanges just to lure investors and traders to buy their fake token in returns for Ether or Usdt. The only remedy to this cause is to check smart contract on market cap and Coingecko for confirmination before proceed with any trade.

Its a classic scam that even on the ICO period, there are scammers doing it creating similar pages of the team. This time you just got to use the smartcontract address to see the right one.

This is why there is still the DIY Research before diving into it. There were new tokens that the devs are adding on Uniswap for the purpose of getting funds like ICO, it becomes logical to still learn about the project before investing and not just because there is liquidity to it on Uniswap.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2020 US Presidential Election | Trump vs Biden on: September 30, 2020, 07:01:41 PM

Usually, it's the incumbent that will win.  There were articles I've read recently comparing the numbers where Hillary is much better than Biden which it's almost like Trump is going to still win not on the poll but the actual election.  And this is even when the article just claimed both Trump and Biden are unstable to run a government. Its an article made to make it funny though.
585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the digital gold narrative is incomplete or misleading? on: September 30, 2020, 06:46:28 PM

We been hearing it out in the social media influencer that Bitcoin is a Digital Gold. Maybe because of the term "MINING" to acquire BTC and there is some truth to it since BTC constantly becomes lesser and lesser in numbers. But most of all, I think BTC is more than gold itself. There is just nothing compares to it in many aspects.

In this case, you can pay attention to the stablecoins backed by gold. If you are not satisfied with bitcoin as digital gold.

Or not.  Stablecoins are comparably even further away from gold than Bitcoin is.  Those are more akin to an IOU.  And that's the charitable comparison.  Part of me just wants to dismiss all stablecoins as outright scams, as I'm yet to see much evidence to the contrary.

If its a stablecoin that they can just print and print, it leaves doubt that its really backed by gold.
586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trying to share wisdom on: September 30, 2020, 06:20:46 PM

You start fresh again, I think that is the best that you can do.  Completely forget the old accounts and acquire an untraceable wallet. Maybe just P2P to someone you personally meet at a meetup conference I guess and then start using the DEX. Though there isn't much trading volume there, the tools around still work for anyone that can trade. The future isn't good for someone who does have millions in BTC while being known.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 29, 2020, 07:45:23 PM
<snip>
I am afraid that the kids will enjoy playing that game because they will not think it is part of gambling.
<snip>
They won't get addicted if they have good guidance from their parents.
Parents should teach their kids on proper management of money.
But I don't always agree that if they play more & more on games like TopT3ns said, they will get addicted.
Mentioning my experience, my chiildhood was almost full of child gambling games, but I did not become addicted into it even on time that I'm winning too much.
I also experienced betting for our childplays, on on my gradeschool and Highschool days, I already betting and fighting others on games like DOTA( Dota 1 for gradeschool, Dota 2, on highschool to college).

So for me, the key is discipline Smiley
It's fine using money for gambling, but know your limitations. Grin

The more experienceyou got when you're a kid the better you will be when you get older. Getting addicted for some time but it passed later shift to another addiction like swimming on rivers, fishing using a handline and computer games are just few that I also got addicted.

I can't help but wonder how many things there are in our world that you can bet on and enjoy. In our childhood, games were much more harmless. We played on the inserts from gum and also getting pleasure from it.
The main thing in this situation should be that children play only among themselves and not be involved in adult games.
How dangerous are these spiders?

The reason why children are also betting from their spiders is because of the influence of the adult. Hunting spiders is hard when you're gonna do it in a broad daylight, while in night, they're easy to hunt since they are in the middle of their web and all you need is flashlight. So they come up with the idea of selling it or let it fight and then put a bet on it.

And about your concern on how dangerous are those spiders, they are safe to play even if the children got bitten by it since it's just a orb Weaver spider.

True. I don't see betting on spider fights really will be an addiction the fact that there come a season when spiders are hard to find, particularly on rainy days, there isn't just  many individuals going ot risk looking for spiders.

588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker started to eliminate tokens stolen from KuCoin on: September 29, 2020, 07:25:12 PM
Honestly hacks and stolen funds are the major reason why I'm so against dex exchanges, they give users way too much freedom to get away with any crypto crime, the only way this hacker can sell some stolen coins and tokens is through decentralized exchanges, it's a haven for criminal activities, I think Centralized exchanges are one step ahead decentralized exchanges in this part.

Decentralize exchanges are also the reason for hacks so which do you want to prevent, the hackers getting away with hacking or simply eliminate hacking?

So far I have not heard of any dex getting hacked yet although its still very under when it will happen but definitely has a reason why a DEX will be a hack and probably because its not entirely a DEX. Cryptocurrency is supposed to be for decentralization which is what satoshi hoped for.

589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting vs Real "Sports Feelings" on: September 29, 2020, 06:23:30 PM

Most of those who bet are the ones who followed the sports and the team players that is why they trust the team so much even when it's against an advantageous opponent. Due to being a fan sometimes they just bet to the individual player and how much points they are going to make in the particular game, they don't even care of the game result.
590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If all BTC Gets Bought Up? on: September 29, 2020, 05:59:27 PM

The traders selling BTC will sell it for a high price because of the demand while the supply is getting thinner. That 0.00054  BTC of your could be much bigger in USDT value if that happens but don't expect too much because its almost impossible for all BTC to be bought up, there will always be traders who are going to take profit. The miners will still be mining but will however sell them for a high price too.
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency for Passive income on: September 29, 2020, 05:49:45 PM
~Snipped
I would never rely on crypto currencies as a form of earning passive "money". Unless you are planning to hold it for a long term, it is quite risky.

Apparently, there's a couple of ways to earn passive income in crypto whether you're you do so with tokens or you opt to do it using stablecoins. Also,  there's a new trend right now that also allows users to earn passive income called "yield farming" thanks to DeFi platforms.  Despite the risks involved, I've seen most crypto users who have actually earned from them.  For instance, majority of the people who participated in the recent UNI airdrop by Uniswap have been involved with DeFi, one way or another.

Places to earn passive income in crypto:

1. Binance Savings, Crypto.com earn, Nexo and Blockfi: These are standard platforms that offers interests for holding cryptos (Bitcoin and altcoins) on their platforms.
2. DeFi - It has been the trend for the last couple of months. Users can participate actively via yield farming or liquidity mining.
3. Staking: This is self-explanatory, you get to earn some rewards for holding tokens for a period of time. Best suited for long term investors.

Compared to stocks, I think crypto has more incentive to offer.

The article doesn't really say something about how the people from Chennai who signed up to CoinSwitch Kuber earned passive income, all they article said is that they register and that it.  I like to earn passive income just by registering, however that may seem.

But its true that yield farming and liquidity mining seem to have provided great profit since the start of Uniswap.

592  Economy / Gambling / Re: SkirmishBet: provably-fair turn-based strategy 😳😳😳 on: September 28, 2020, 06:43:52 PM

Seem a new game in crypto. Tried to register with a fake email lol then I learned the website sends a code to validate registration Smiley  Anyway its a cool project, if i see it become well known and you gain the trust to the users, I will probably be registering an account with a valid email address.

What I really was interested to that I tried registering is to check the training. Good luck promoting though.  Making the training available to unregistered users will be good.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2.0 DeFi - HBTC on: September 28, 2020, 06:09:18 PM

DEFI V1 hasn't died yet but they are up to V2 already. The CEX are up to it too so we all have the chance to join their pool as well?

Its a good opportunity for the big exchanges to seize this DEFI trend. I'm surprised the innovative users in crypto are getting more innovative and yet some users think it will last in a few weeks. This is a series of DEFI innovation, I think it won't just quickly die all because we hope it would. Not when big exchanges like are up to develop more of it and are joining to further develop it.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker started to eliminate tokens stolen from KuCoin on: September 28, 2020, 05:36:09 PM

It won't be long till he can dump it all and go for BTC after. He is a hacker he will definitely want to find ways to make the coins clean when it goes out and dex is just a good tool for its purpose and then the mixing services. Its however just a big amount that its alarming if sent to a wallet suddenly but you can see he had been sending it to kyber and uniswap.

595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: September 27, 2020, 09:39:27 PM

Its a sports match I dont think you can apply martingale here but you can apply your sports analytics skills by learning which is important in the sports for a team to win. Whether its a team sports or simply a boxing match. If you are just betting $5 for all the matches you tried, you just have to consider analyzing the skills of the players. For $5 bet I would start trying to check some players that might just result in an upset.

596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY AND UNFAIR TREATMENT OF HUNTERS on: September 27, 2020, 09:24:08 PM
This is "The risk" and I think we all know about that. So as the hunter must prepare anything to face the future of the project.
But i think is not true if blame bounty hunter about dumped price. They just receive around 1% from total allocation and will be split to thousands of participants
Just from changing rules and not giving what is required or said amount already shows that the project is not really that good to make it a big thing, that's the reason maybe it didn't attract many investors as the project may be not that useful or the team is not good enough to really succeed fast. Being true to words and considering the participants even the bounty hunter as part of the team or as investors may make their projects more likely to succeed if their good in managing and marketing.

You have to consider howmuch the team's percentage of the total amount of tokens and are they in the vault for keeps. If they are readily available for dumps I guess the team has something to do with dumps. I wouldn't be considering joining unless its really a good project to try.  Bounty hunters are not totally getting all the blame for the tokens price dump. Its a fact that hunters are dumping most of the time.

597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A woman has been arrested in the United States for hiring a killer with bitcoin on: September 27, 2020, 07:14:15 PM
It is difficult to believe these "stories". Can anyone be so dumb to actually hire a murderer for just $5,000? I still remember the case of Ross William Ulbricht. The FBI wanted to make sure that he remains behind bars for the rest of his life and it is being alleged that they created some fake web chats showing that he hired contract killers to take down his competitors. It is very easy to create fake web chats.

So you believe Ross didn't put a hit to those men?
The guy looks very harmless actually but later it was discovered that the wallet where he sent the fee for the hit was his old friend who also tried to scam him for this hits. There really isn't a way to know all the facts besides those FBI men.

One shouldn't trust a  hired hitman because ultimately these men are just going to extort you in the end. Lots of stories about this.

598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia is proposing a new law to declare cryptowallets or be fined, go to jail on: September 27, 2020, 06:23:15 PM
Well this is certainly not very surprising coming from Putin, a straight up dictator.  Dictatorships often want to completely control everything and no surprise they want to have complete oversight of a currency that is hard for them to controls.  I could easily see other countries doing this. I could even see the United States doing this..all governments desire control and power over citizens..this is just another way to do that.

Its their law and thei country though. I wouldn't think this proposal actually would be signed.  This is even not a very tight law to grip the control since anyone of their citizen can create a wallet that nobody knew and only them can operate.  If Putin is a straight-up dictator he would have banned it all and force everyone to only  use the digital rubbles and then from that system they can monitor each of thier people's wealth.

Declaring wallets is not a good way actually, why don't they just monitor exchanges in their country like the yobit that up to this day isn't collecting KYC?
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Micah - Sept 26 on: September 27, 2020, 05:52:59 PM

I was expecting a knockout that will put him to sleep but the referee didn't waste a second to stop the fight when he saw Micah struggles to balance after a big uppercut.

That's a disrespect to Inoue, he should take the fight, unless he is afraid.

I don't think it's disrespectful to Inoue, remember that English is not Casimero's first language obviously. We have seen worst, Floyd or Conor is way disrespectful to their opponent. He is just expressing the need for Inoue to really face him in the future, because he wanted to show that Inoue is not the monster that everyone wanted to project. And Casimero has proven that he can back up all this pre and post trash talk.

I wouldn't say this is an easy fight for Casimero, Micah offer him a lot in the first round. But obviously, Casimero is giving everything in his punch and it's very heavy. Micah has a chin as well, but it is the body shot that really take everything from him.

Have you watch the video? Casimero calling Inoue Motherfucker, I don't think that's something not disrespectful.

Well, maybe Oilacris is right too, it depends on how we interpret it, but the word "Motherfucker" is not hard to interpret, lol.

Its not a disrespect but Casimero shouldn't be doing it just to make Inoue say yes to their match. They are both Asians and we know how we all take it but even so their is one of the awaited.

600  Other / Archival / Re: Developing Your Online Blackjack Betting Strategy on: September 26, 2020, 09:03:40 PM
Experienced players believe that a systematic approach can be used to make a profit.

Do they ? I have yet to meet a person who seriously believes he can beat Blackjack longterm or is already doing so.

Of course, more than one strategy does not guarantee 100% profit, but many players believe that using different systems and strategies leads to a positive result.

No strategy "guarantees 100% profit", also not combining the 500 best ones. A positive result can be achieved, which would then be to minimize your losses. I wouldn't call it positive though, it's still negative, because you lose money. The improvement of losing less could be called a positive result otoh.

The Bottom Line

Although there are many Blackjack betting techniques that you may employ while playing, you must never forget that the outcome of the game depends mostly on luck rather than any strategy. Good luck!

.....and the house always in the end Smiley

No strategy works that gaurantee wins but all for marketing there are casino blogs that kept publishing all the techniques and strategies all have been written before and rewritten again. Martingale looks to be on the list at every game. It's a simple method for the most game that I think negates the notion where odds favor the house until series of losing streaks strikes.

Doubling down also doubles the risk. Dealer wins when both of you have same points right?
