641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THE MOST PAINFUL DAY IN MY BETTING CAREER on: September 17, 2020, 06:16:15 PM

Quote
What was already money turned to stone.

This quote is one of the most popular proverbs in my country that mostly used by people who lose an amount of money in the brink of time for being unlucky. Well its said not to celebrate too early when you have yet not got the money on your hands, it must be the most upsetting time for a gambler who expects it coming and then suddenly lost it all.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I cannot receive 400 UNI on: September 17, 2020, 05:42:08 PM
Too good to be true but yes I got about $1500 now since UNI is now worth $3.77. I didn't sold it yet but since I have been using 3ETH address for UNISWAP transaction, I guess I am qualified to make more than that amount. Quite a profit actually for avoiding the KYC of exchanges. However, UNISWAP itself didn't listed their own token. Shame on them. I'll wait til they list it on thier own pool.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 16, 2020, 08:38:17 PM
Children in my opinion needs to be nourished in an environment that should be susceptible to learning and gives them a sense that learning and reading and studying are not boring endeavors but rather important things that they will need to do in order to succeed in life. They will pursue more noble things in life if these children will be taken good care by their parents. Gambling is an adult activity and should stay that way. Children really need to prepare their lives in becoming responsible adults.

I guess this really depends on the parent but this spider betting is something being passed here in our province. The parents that are taking care of their children right now did that in the past, they know what it feels like to be at that position but they never actually got addicted to it, not until they held a rooster and seen a cockfight.

Its still a learning environment for the kids, it just need guidance. Kids who grow up in such an environment are always the ones going to be the streetsmart. Gambling may not be good for them but kids will always stray from since they have no money to sustain. Its the grown men that is harder to straighten.

If there is just no lockdown, kids playing with spiders are going to help them to have social life outside the internet. It helps them get out of their computer chair.

644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you staying updated on: September 16, 2020, 06:18:52 PM

The forum  is full of people who are willing to update us with new projects but there are still projects that are not actually posted here. There could be projects that are posted but weren't getting attention because no one yet had explored it.

You might wanna follow some platforms you have been investing, you try joining the telegram of big platforms like ETH, EOS, NEO and TRON because people there are also sharing new projects that are alternative to what was been hyped. Theres also youtube channels and cointelegraph if you consider them.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP FIVE SECRETS OF MAKING IT BIG IN BETTING WORLD on: September 16, 2020, 06:00:58 PM
#5. Only stake on sport you have adequate knowledge of and never add emotions to it: This is very important, I have a friend, from his inception in the betting world, he has always staked on Cricket because that is where his strength lies.
This is very true. I have so many losing bets because someone close to me or a friend is telling me that this or that bet is worth making.
but his example is different . a friend on his example is expert on his certain sport choice and he didnt said that his friend recomend him to bet on this or that but on your case your friend might not be expert but your mistake is that you still follow thier advice so you fail but dont blame them yet . what if they got lucky and you win ? being good doesnt also mean that thier advice will win . @op thanks for the time of making post but you should allow spacing for easy reading

In OPs example was a person who only bet on cricket and all because he knows the game, the guy probably followed some players because he is a fan and that he trusted that if the team he knew plays he will bet to it and will likely win.

In the context I guess it means only bet to sports you knew well and that you can analyze which team and who will win than just rely solely on luck.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DeFi] Some excellent topics on DeFi. on: September 16, 2020, 05:39:03 PM
There are several threads in the forum which have been very educative, but the challenge is that people invest in Defi and yield farming mostly out of greed. The issue with greed is that it blocks their ability to rational reasoning and all they consider is the reward promised which is too alluring for them to look away.

Well making profit is the main purpose of investing which is why they rush to invest. The list of topics are good to learn DEFI, I haven't read about DEFI tutorials about how iBTC and sBTC works in some DEFI exchanges. Andthe iETH and sETH, these are very useful for the traders and I struggle to find reference when I tried to teach my brother about how it works on DEX and CEX.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dextrust:::Another Scam Waiting To Happen:::Or:::Not??? You Decide on: September 16, 2020, 05:05:54 PM
that's more than enough to take a conclusion if this one as a scam project. I believe the creator was also using the fake identity and that's why it was only using a surename only on its members.

If there was a member who has been asking a sense question to the team and when the team was deciding to kick that member and then can we call the team has a good attitude?
The scam project was always doing it and when someone asked a sense question to make sure if that was running by the real people and then scammer will always called that as FUD. lol
one thing that baffles me with all this scam thing and people loosing money is that sometimes, the signs are so obvious, but some people will not notice, some will notice but will refuse to pay attention to it,
Just imagine a project with such a dubious team, their website says it all, and yet people still go ahead and invest their hard earned ethereum and hoping for huge profit in return, this is so absurb, when they end up loosing their money, you see them crying and causing the scammers as if they didn't know they were scammers right from the start.

The problem is that hunters are still promoting the project, thus the reason it will still scam some Eth from users who are also eager to get some profit thru the defi.
Bounty campaigns are not regulated nor the scams in the forum so if it does felt within yourself that you have the duty to somehow drive away the scammers in the forum then do so warn everyone.

Send warnings to the bounty thread and ANN thead of this project. Reply to thier twitter account and the articles posted on thier medium/blogs or their youtube videos for the investors to learn about it.

648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: September 15, 2020, 08:00:35 PM
https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/roy-jones-jr-says-he-may-have-made-a-mistake-in-taking-exhibition-boxing-match-against-mike-tyson/

Looks like Roy Jones Jr knows he's going to get smashed.
Even though it's an exhibition bout, both of these guys are extremely competitive, and I don't think either are going to want it to go to the score cards (well maybe RJJ).

Pushing it back to November does slightly favor Roy Jones, since he'll be able to bulk up somewhat to close the weight gap, but I still think Tyson will come in significantly heavier—after rehydration at least.

Is there any information on whether they have to make wait or what's on the line?

Its going to favour the promotion since by November, there vaccine couldhave been massively distributed already and perhaps watching the fight live on the ringside will be possible. Making money is the top priority in this exhibit.

They are there to show off. One way or another they will show which one can really still be on the track and its not going to end pretty like an exhibition match.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My experience is gambling on: September 15, 2020, 07:38:52 PM
Tell me that if its gambling for money then you will only regret it in the end but if you make it a way to get pleasure then you can control your desires and your money over it.

I doubt that there much people playing for money, my thoughts. It's obvious that in gambling you will only lose on a long distance, so if you want to make money you need to create your own business on gambling theme, like poker courses, youtube channel with streams and so on.

Entertainment is what we all looking in gambling, Thrilling and risk. Not money
But you cant stop people on not to have that kind of view or insights towards gambling because this is the only fast way on making profits as we all know thats why its not surprising that people will most likely end
up on aiming to make money rather than on seeking for that entertainment. Each of us do have its own view but doesnt mean that we will really act on whats being recommended in terms of control
since each one of us do have that different level in talks of that. Entertainment is the primary reason but to think that you are dealing with money then its no surprise that you will
surely aim for it.

Gambling for pleasure can sometimes turn to making money. Its just for entertanment at first but after losing hundreds, you may start to look into a strategy on how to win. And when you also feel this way, its already about making money.

When you start to read some tricks and shift to skill base games, its then about to get serious. Its not like sports where you just stop whenever team is unknown to you.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: việc chấp nhận cryptocurrency trên toàn thế giới on: September 15, 2020, 06:13:47 PM
The acceptance is slow and I guess its going to be overwhelming to the society if its abrupt. Its gonna be gradual just as it should. Credit card companies are slowly in transition.

The future global currency will not be based on Bitcoin or any of the current alts in my opinion. It will be a centralised virtual currency operated by the banking elite.
Yes, it could also be a centralized chain entirely controlled by the banks. Without decentralization, just focusing on security, they will utilize Blockchain technology for their work. China is doing the same, they are just admitting blockchain technology, there is no room for Bitcoin or any kind of altcoin in their system.

But its possible that government and central banks are going ot be using BTC as a reserve just like GOLD. We may be using a centralize cryptocurrency in the later years like the digital yuan of China but BTC will still be running and even the other altcoins we despise today they will still survive.

651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEFI question? on: September 15, 2020, 05:04:49 PM
I really think staking in DEFI is very different than staking on POS tokens. I found out about this on OIKOS project because the term used was MINTING which essentially you collateralize the DEFI token by borrowing stablecoin.  Borrowing means you will be accumulating interest. You don't wanna accumulate interests while not using the borrowed amount which is why you need to trade the stablecoin to profit and then you will have to repay the interest/debt to unstake.

Basically, this is like Margin trading on Binance.

652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The newest#DEFI project to look out on: September 15, 2020, 03:29:41 PM
No team, small wallpaper, doesn't look legit.
Unfortunately many scammers are jumping on the DeFi train nowadays, and offer projects which are a direct copy of the current successful projects.

DYOR but to me this looks shady as hell

That's correct. However, does the size of the whitepaper really matter?

I think the major point of any project should be in delivering and fufiling whatever it is that was promised in their whitepaper and not whether the WP is long or small.

Unfortunately, it won't stop the people from investing projects like these because its still promoted by individuals in social meida sites. Even if the project won't be successful they still end up collecting few coins from people.

They felt there is no need for long while paper today after all explaining about borrowing and collateralization had been done in the previous DEFI. When it comes to the word defi they already are award there is no need for KYC on it and trading on its platform is sort of a protection.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 14, 2020, 09:22:37 PM
Right now, more and more people are violating health protocols, so it's no wonder the corona virus is spreading faster. And regarding
the incident in the opening post, in my opinion, it is 100% the fault of the parents of the children who made the spider betting. Parents
should be increasingly monitoring their children, especially in a pandemic situation like now. It is very dangerous to let children out of
the house. Then regarding betting using spiders, for me it's a new thing. Because I just found out that spiders can be used for betting.
Hopefully the spiders used are not poisonous spiders, otherwise they can be dangerous.

Parents could be the one also encouraging their kids.
This is the time where parents have no jobs so they just go along as well to find more spiders to sell to make money while the kids also spend the time of their lives.  They are force to find way to make money since Social Amelioration Program are corrupted by local officials. If covid is also around thier area then its intensified where the bettings happen.

654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEFI question? on: September 14, 2020, 08:58:07 PM

You can buy Defi cons as much as you like from exchanges just make sure its a good defi project.  There were coins like TRX that you will stake to earn DEFI tokens as I read on the chat, its not worth becuase it will take time before you can get substantial amount than just buying them.

Staking your DEFI tokens is deffirent, to some platform it means minting the stable coin to lend which is a way for you to profit. Carefully learn which platform you do this or learn the hard way.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: September 14, 2020, 07:06:06 PM
since i don't use dex I find the names at the op unfamiliar, the only one that is making name to me is uniswap, I find many project using it and people talking about it, but as much as dex are becoming popular they are still no match to cex, the difference is very clear for now.

Some are unfamiliar because they are not associated with the platform itself. ETHERdelta for instance is meant for ERC tokens and WAVES DEX for WAVES Tokens. The list could go on to EOS and TRON platforms which each platform has a preferred DEX. For TRON I think its now the PoloniDEX which previously was just the TRX.Market.  Sooner these platforms will also have a preferred Swapping platform like TRON has the JustSwap.

Dex has been popular because they thought they were safer since they don't keep the seed address of the wallets but after what happened to Dolomite exchange I wouldn't say that again, Plutus defi was one of the hyped project but Dolomite.io got hacked and $PLT ico was a total disaster, so I prefer safety rather than SEX or DEX .

Dolomite is unheard. It hasn't yet ring a bell but probably did an exit scam. I myself will forget everything for SEX.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC: Top DeFi Tokens by Market Capitalization on: September 14, 2020, 06:35:16 PM
Coinmarketcap now has a display for DeFi Tokens by Market Capitalization.

It's just how they define tokens to be DeFi though, And do you think it's a complete list or something is missing? I think this is great though, specially for those who are not familiar with this new hype is crypto market, so good job CZ (although sometimes I think he is becoming too powerful!).
Yeah Defi Got the Hype and most of the projects and coins that connected with this are making their way to the top.
and not just growing but unbelievable growth.
Some are hyping a thousand percentage things that i admit i am a little bitter because i did not even invest to go with the flow.
anyway this is near to end and coins will subside in prices in the nearest time.
Now, the YFI token with a capitalization of $ 1.22 billion and an incredible price of $ 40,719 has risen to the twentieth position in the CoinMarketCap table. I am very interested in what will happen to the price of this token next. In my opinion, such a high price is very inconvenient for walking. In addition, I do not believe that such a high price of this token can last for a long time. I wonder if YFI has a finer division like Satoshi in Bitcoin? At that price, it would be very logical.

I couldn't help of being paranoid of what could happen. Things are not healthy anymore because it looks like the bitcoin and ETH holders are lured to dive into these DEFI projects inorder for them to send it to these high performing DEFI tokens such as the Y ones. For the weak holders who want to take a bite of the profitting bullrun of the tokens, they will use their BTC and ETH to buy YFI tokens which in the end losing their BTC.

657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another DeFi exit scam on: September 14, 2020, 05:57:39 PM

Unsuspecting investors will learn when it's too late to get their money back. Exit scam keeps going on even before DEFI so its shouldn't blame all because of the new hype of it. The scenario in crypto had not changed yet since time, its always been the wild west.  The legit project today could turn bad, who knows what could happen to exchanges you keep using today after a year or two.

658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: September 13, 2020, 07:06:47 PM
Just a feeling I have. It's all credit cards and dollars and shit.

Yeah, I'd rather spend the shit money and save my bitcoins, but I can't wait until I can use real money everywhere. I'd rather get paid in bitcoin and spend bitcoin.

In some other places there is already Bitcoin ATM machine and some business establishment and stores already accepting bitcoin. Hoping that someday i can also use bitcoin everywhere and can get paid with bitcoin as long as it has still a higher value.

The possibility that the digital currencies are going to be accepted more than the cryptocurrency is higher. BTC is just too much loss for them once the fluctuation slides down. They'd rather prefer tha stablecoin if thisis the case but ifthere digital currencies are available and can be used to widely, the goceries and other stores will surely use them.

Just think of the situation when the bear market will stay for more than 2 years just as it did in 2018, the loss of the stores who accepted BTC when the time its price is on ATH will force them to shutdown.
659  Economy / Economics / Re: ECB Lagarde: COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated this trend towards digitalisation on: September 13, 2020, 06:07:30 PM

My country is the slowest to adopt just about anything but this pandemic just made businesses started using digital payment systems like paymaya. Stores that we normally just see on malls and now accepting orders fro mthe facebook pages.

I think this is just the start and sooner we may be able to make transactions with BTC to the mall stores. Or maybe like the Chinese government, we will also be developing digital fiat for all to use.

660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 13, 2020, 05:43:41 PM

Somehow I find it safer than betting on higher odds and expect an upset when it rarely happen. You may win big with 1.40 odd but it also mean that the other team has the chance to win which you will actually lose it all.

I'd find it safer if the sport is basketball since you can definitely see the skills of the top 5 players of both team say Lakers or Clippiers. It wouldn't be safer if both teams almost have same records and both have great players.
