We're trying to move into a bigger brew house because our space is too small! We teach people in our community how to brew from scratch, give them a place to brew, and have social and educational events. A bigger space will touch thousands of lives a year between members, those that come to our events and classes, and those that get to have our members' beer. If we get the donation, we are fully committed to writing an article about it, and sharing all aspects of the donation with the local press, emphasizing bitcoin. I think this is a great start. I think over time several of these will merge into a bitcoin Transunion type rating. This will become much more important as we see more BTC revolving accounts.

I think lenders do a good job of choosing for themselves who to lend to. Implement this and expect newbie loan requests to pop up elsewhere.....

There is no market regulated by strictly market consumers (i.e. a free market) in traditional banking. Were there one, depositors would shop around and pay attention to the credibility of each bank which in turn would force them to compete with one another and not collude. And it's that simple to solve this problem: remove FDIC, remove all guarantees, remove lenders of last resort, remove regulations and BOOM all the crooks will go up in smoke and what will remain are the honest players.
Yep, but it might take a while. Might look like the current bitcoin economy for some time first. Sure would be fun to watch. |
