Bnb didn't dump as much but I wonder if op knew cz was going to resign.

He didn't.
Also eToro is still the most trustworthy of all the possibilities to short BNB which is kinda telling.

I would like to short BNB. Can I do that anywhere (except Binance obviously, I'm betting on them going the "FTX" way)? eToro offers a CFD, but I'm afraid as soon as shit gets serious they pull out... Does anybody know of a better way? Thanks!

You can short BNB on any exchange that supports the coin. What is the problem? Are you having issues finding the right markets or something?

Check out these sources:
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bnb#markets
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bnb/#Markets

Thanks for the sources, I really wasn't aware of that... What would you say is the most trust able amongst the hundreds and hundreds of exchanges I've never heard of? I am aware that poloniex already exist a long time, huobi as well - don't know about the rest. Kucoin and gate.io maybe? Cheers!

Binance as a provider makes little sense if what you are betting on is binance doing the "FTX"... KYC is not a concern - the opposite is the case, the more regulated and trustworthy the exchange/brokerage, the better.
I guess there is nothing like a smart crypto swap with btc/eth as collateral?

Why do they make it so difficult to partake in this? At this premium I would be more than happy to sell some...
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading BAKKT with physical delivery on: August 05, 2020, 07:34:53 PM
Anybody managed to physically deliver / receive BAKKT Futures in the meantime?

Still looking for good offers Smiley
9  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Stimulus Check on: May 06, 2020, 09:07:01 PM
Can anyone post their check without any of the private information? Does it mention coronavirus or Donald Trump? France and the UK are the only European countries where I've seen them still being used somewhat frequently.

This was sent to my deceased (2 1/2yrs ago) father c/o me. Ours was electronically deposited.   I scanned it as a souvenir before sending it back. The orange panda doesn't sign them.

Where's Trump's signature?  Tongue

I understand.
That makes it much less rare... assuming most people will cash it electronically. Would still like a cashed one - make me offers Smiley
Shipped to US.

I can sell you mine. It will be signed, tho. How much are you offering?

I don't really know to be honest - there are many unknowns for me...

Is the name of the beneficiary on it? Is there no way for me as a buyer to check if it has been cashed? Can it only be cashed by the person mentioned on the check? Could somebody sell me the check, then cash it? Will it void?

Thanks!

Irs literally has sample checks on their website.
Can you link to it? Thanks. Didn't find it...
13  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Stimulus Check on: April 16, 2020, 09:37:07 PM

Will it look like that? Will it also be valid for a year? Guess there is no way of telling if it has been cashed after a year?
14  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Stimulus Check on: April 16, 2020, 05:58:14 PM
I am much to European to understand the whole check thing... we don't use them since the 80s.

Is the name of the beneficiary on it? Is there no way for me as a buyer to check if it has been cashed? Can it only be cashed by the person mentioned on the check?
Could somebody sell me the check, then cash it?

This whole check thing seams so very broken for so many years that I just can't wrap my head around it.

Basically and if possible I would like to buy "the real deal", meaning an uncashed check - what maybe could turn into the first stepstone of the crash of the dollar...

Hey there!
If somebody wants to sell me his stimulus check, I am searching to buy one!

Hi Everybody,

I am from Europe and just know about the stimulus Checks out of the Media. I would like to buy one as a collectible piece of monetary history.
How would I go about?

* Can you keep the physical check after redeeming?
* If that's not the case - how long are they valid?
* Can they be verified somehow?

I want Donalds Sharpie Signature.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading BAKKT with physical delivery on: October 17, 2019, 08:48:14 AM
There could be premium over spot due to lack of liquidity in the regulated markets.

Yeah, but they don't want the liquidity I would be adding... My email is still not answered...

Also, I'm assuming the prices shown are above current market value because they're options and not actual bitcoin being sold, so it would make sense that someone is betting on a higher price in the future dates listed there....?  Can't say I fully understand what Bakkt is all about, but what understanding I do have is that it's a futures/options market that offers physical delivery of bitcoin if the trader on the winning side of the contract wants it.  Do I at least have that part correct?

It actually is actual Bitcoin being sold. Futures are not options. Futures are delivered - you have no choice in that. (To be fair, probably 99% of futures are not delivered, but sold before maturing... but that's besides the point Wink )

However right now, there are no custody (or even clearing/exchange) fees on Bakkt while they build liquidity: https://www.bakkt.com/publicdocs/Bakkt_faq.pdf

Hey, good document - I somehow overlooked that.

So I guess the way to set this up would be to approach a clearer, set up an account, deposit safeties (guessing Bitcoin will not do), get an account with the BAKKT warehouse etc, etc, etc
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading BAKKT with physical delivery on: October 16, 2019, 06:48:46 AM
us little plebs. Smiley

look at their trading volume... children's birthday...

Also where does the strong contango come from? The high cost of storing Bitcoin?
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading BAKKT with physical delivery on: October 15, 2019, 06:14:55 PM
Like avikz said, all you can do is email them. They actually don't onboard retail customers at all, that's why there's no registration function on their site. It's for institutional traders only.

Why are you interested?

I did email them, no reply so far. I would be trading in the name of a company, don't know if that qualifies as "institutional"...
I'm interested because of wanting to make profits obviously Wink Guess it should be the best regulated and safest exchange?
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading BAKKT with physical delivery on: October 14, 2019, 06:54:48 PM
Hi all,

how would I go about and get an account with the BAKKT warehouse so I can trade including physical delivery? There's no register function on their website https://www.bakkt.com/ .

Has anybody done this? The best info I found is this: https://www.bakkt.com/publicdocs/Bakkt_Bitcoin_Futures_Workflow.pdf

How big of a pain can it be?

Would also be interested in pricing, fees for storage etc.

Wrote them an email, let's see.
