2141  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GLBSE dividend payout address(es)? on: June 05, 2012, 05:19:29 PM
I trade stocks on Just2Trade. It works something like this: The stock pays a dividend and that dividend is converted in more stocks at the market price at the day after the dividends are paid. For the partial shares I think it works that way that J2T (or their clearing house) buys that one last share that's needed to do the partials between the eligible stockholders and if there is a "leftover" they keep it until the next round.

I'm sure there's more involved behind the scenes, but that is how I see  it working in my account.

Because it would help with dividend reinvestment. If I understand correctly now I have to go and look for and add up security X dividends, then security A dividends and manually reinvest them.

It'd be easier to have a wallet for each, if you understand what I mean. Just reinvestment the amount that is available in the respective wallet.

Of course easiest would be if the whole process could be automated. And the cherry on top would be if partial share buys via dividend reinvestment would be possible.

It works in the "real world", don't see a reason why not with BTC.

Thank you!

Hopefully different wallets can be implemented. Would make it easier.

your ip is currently not allowed!Maybe you are using a proxy or Tor!?Your IP is on a spam blacklist.. if not -> email

If I check with whatismyip.com it doesn't even detect a proxy (as there is none...)

Also, you mention to email in case of trouble a number of times on the site. I could not find one on the site though. (Maybe need new glasses ;-) )

If you hold several assets, can you set up an address for dividends payments for each of them?

So while I can make 500x LTC compared to 1 BTC the final USD value is 4x lower ..

*brainfreeze*
Hence it's better to mine BTC and buy LTC if you (really?) need them. My understanding is that it is even better to mine LTC on a GPU, i.e. the whole "CPU friendliness" of LTC is gone.

some guy on youtube said something along these lines: "I like technical analysis because I don't have to be right. It allows me to ignore emotions and make decisions based on numbers."
+1
Couldn't have said it better.
Unless of course the fundamentals change drastically.

I'll admit I'm new to BTC, but in forex when (for example) a National Bank brings out the big guns, TA simply just fails.

Calculators and estimations are great.

But I am looking for a human to tell me from their experiences.

Thanks!
Don't want to be a pain, but how would other peoples' experiences change the fact that it might work for you tomorrow or maybe only in a few months? Or somewhere in between?

If I'd tell you it'll work for you in two weeks and then it doesn't - would this influence your opinion of me?

It worked for me this afternoon. Not that I planned it...

The proxy / multiple IP detection is flawed. It also would be nice if the site would give you that warning about proxy *before* you waited the five minutes.

did you find any bugs? or did you get bitcoins via proxy? That is how you learn it Wink

No, I'm not using a proxy. That's why that error message is very annoying.

... they have to put a few hours into a new account ...
Seems to me that is (too) easily done by just leaving the site open in a tab, whilst doing other stuff.
