921  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you control the price on Bitstamp, you control it everywhere. on: October 06, 2014, 05:49:46 AM
That there are arbitrage bots and that the market has shallow volume in general is a given. You make no new points here really.

You said people are looking at bitstamp only, so right now that deal would be at 300. If an OTC trader looks at bitcoinaverage the trade would be at 306.
922  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 06, 2014, 05:35:22 AM

Link? Do you think all the people have 20 millons usd to play with bitcoin and lose millons selling low only to manipulate the price? This is a group, bank, goverment or walls street.

You realise that those "20 millions USD" could have been mined in a matter of days weeks a few years back? Without proof your theory is as good as any other.
923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 06, 2014, 05:22:22 AM
i've got a question.. so the sell wall whale is selling 30k coins via an exchange. how's he going to deposit that $9 million into his bank account without arousing suspicion?

No, he plans to buy back around 400-600, thereby halving his money. He will do this repeatedly in order to get rid of all his money and avoid suspicion.

edit: I have no idea about this. There are too many reasons why this human could be doing this.

Itīs no human. Itīs a bank, goverment o corporation group.

Link?

There's sites like: https://bitcoinaverage.com/#USD

If you "a lot of big trading" and don't know about those, well, I don't know what to say.

At 1K every 30mins this might not last long. http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/bitstampUSD#rg1zig30-minztgOzm1g10zm2g25zv
926  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC $300 for months to come? on: October 06, 2014, 05:10:44 AM
It's going quick. At least 1K every 30 mins: http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/bitstampUSD#rg1zig30-minztgOzm1g10zm2g25zv

I had contacted them a few days ago about a bug that didn't show *some* transactions. They said they are aware and it's a backend problem. Seems it just got worse.

2492 BTC wall at 300 at bitstamp

Just the advertiser gets the fee, unless they changed it very recently and didn't update this: https://localbitcoins.com/fees

Those are from the original batch; not the black arrow builds from spring 2013.  So really its like Spring 2012

Correct. I got my numbers mixed up. It reminds me when I started mining with CM-1s and the guy who helped me with the location sent me that exact pic, because he thought the two settings looked somewhat similar (a lot more hardware in that pic though) Smiley

Back up your QR code right now for those who haven't done it yet.

It will only be shown once, IIRC.

Not my mining rigs, but very impressive, one of the best mining rigs photo I have seen in google images :

Sooo Spring 2013 :-)

You never wondered why the price is consistently cheaper on btc-e?

At a 30 day volume (USD market only) of 15,691,563.59 USD you would hope they stay in business using a fee structure like that. :-)
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BlockChain Double Step Proble Ingnore on: October 04, 2014, 01:54:09 PM

Do you have a backup? As far as I know, 2FA is not necessary to import your blockchain.info wallet backup. Make a new account, import.

Stats seem broken.

They are mining, but no info on the pool page. This is a rig that has been going for a while with no problems on this pool so far.

What about antimalware/antiviruses programs like Norton, kaspersky, avira.Mc affee?
Could they detect those malicious software, when they are widespread and known ?
No.

USB firmware exploits happen outside the control of the CPU and any software that may be running on it.

For now, you should probably use CD-Rs to move unsigned transactions across the air gap discard them after each use.

There might not be any exploitable CD drive firmware vulnerabilities that can be triggered by malicious data on a disc. Maybe.

There's audio too, easier on the planet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735111.0

Did you do another -reindex after you restored from backup?
940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bad wallet PC, what are my choices? on: September 30, 2014, 01:27:18 AM

If you have no more use for those addresses it's probably easiest to import wallet.dat at blockchain.info and then make a new transaction to your new wallet. There are other lightweight ones https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet . Using a wallet where you 100% control the keys is the preferred way.
