1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help with windows 8 sleep mode on: January 11, 2013, 07:09:52 PM
It works fine for bitcoin mining for me, I don't have to deal that much with electricity.

I believe it's possible, but I don't have any atm.  Sorry.

You are correct, I just disabled sleep mode and set it to turn off the screen only.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Help with windows 8 sleep mode on: January 09, 2013, 05:35:17 PM
I need to find out how to set a program to run in windows 8 when it enters sleep mode.
6  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 10BTC loan on: January 09, 2013, 05:34:21 PM
I would probably pay back in BTC and can only mine about .10 a day.  So it would take me about three months of constant mining to pay it back fully.

Hoping you have an account:

as I said, my ebay accounts have been deleted.
8  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 10BTC loan on: January 08, 2013, 03:53:01 PM
I can assure you that I am of reputable trust.  All of my ebay accounts have been deleted, and the other forums are too unorganized too link.  I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses, but it may seem like I am.

I apologize if you do not think I am trustworthy, but I currently have 1btc mined and can take 9btc loan instead of 10.  I have an 8 core AMD processor with AMD 7970, so I should be able to make the payments in ample time.  I asking for a loan as I have not had much time to mine lately and need a 'head start' of sorts.

Thanks.
9  Economy / Lending / Looking for a 10BTC loan on: January 08, 2013, 02:19:23 PM
I am looking for a 10BTC loan.  I can pay you back within 6-12 months.  I have no trading/lending history on this forum, but have been an active member on ebay, paypal, and other forum marketplaces for years.

I haven't had much luck with anybody on this forum yet in terms of trust or follow through.  I'm looking to get a good start with a trusted and friendly member.

Thanks in advance,
10  Economy / Goods / WTS Electronic Cigarette Starter Pack on: December 20, 2012, 10:17:19 PM
It comes with the following:

Minus the carrying case and 2 packs of cartridges.

-1 long battery
-1 short battery
-1 wall charger
-1 usb dongle
-1 usb battery
-car charger

It's practically in new condition, only been used a couple of times.  And the cartridges are where you put your mouth, so completely sterile.  I'm asking BTC4 for the entire kit.  Comes with original case. I'm willing to make negotiations, but will charge a $10 shipping fee if there is a price reduction in BTC.  It's a cool little electronic cigarette, rechargeable and works well.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: no wonder why bitcoin fails on: December 18, 2012, 04:37:44 PM
I'm coming to the same realization.  I think someone has hacked my computer remotely and is running screen capture programs.

I have my default homepage set to deepbit.net.  But every time I load my internet browser I get a security warning about the certificate the website is trying to approve.

I investigated it and it turns out it's been sent through a sort of proxy, namely through/to a remote source.  A perfect possibility for someone to keylog my login details and steal what little bitcoins I have mined already.

This obviously is not working for me, maybe others, but I don't feel safe or productive doing it.

I wish it the best, but I don't think it's going to work out.

It's too bad too, now I have a keylogger to worry about...

Any ideas for security programs to run on my computer?  Chances are, the possible hacker may be logging this exact post.

Oh wow, I see a good reason for ASICs then.

13  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Used Panties on: December 16, 2012, 04:08:05 AM
Who and where are the admins of this forum.  I admit, I've thought and done some weird stuff, but that doesn't make it or them right.

If the millions of dollars invested in bitcoin could see this, I'm afraid of what they might think.

Bitcoins are bitcoins, not used panty..things.

How is it that an older model such as the 5970 can mine at higher rates than a newer 7970?

Has it had special work/production done over the time it was released?  If so, I hope the same will happen with/for my card.
15  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Farcry 3 Game Code (ubisoft website/digital download) - unused on: December 15, 2012, 04:05:56 PM
Yes, unfortunately.  It was a good game, but I would have rather sold it.  Very immersive, I was literally shaking during the intense parts.

If you get it, be ready to go grand theft auto Tarzan style.  It's got a lot of depth and detail, and if you've got a good GPU rig, it'll help a lot.

Oh well, better luck next time I guess.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just starting out on: December 14, 2012, 06:03:20 PM
It'd be nice to mine .10 a day.  I'll see what I can find, any particular miner good for this? Pool?
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just starting out on: December 14, 2012, 01:14:37 AM
Well, I'm not paying my electricity bill.  But I am looking into a Single SC.  So I'll just wait and see where this takes me.  It's too bad the GPU farms are going out of date, they looked pretty cool.

I've got a the following set up:

-Processor (AMD FX-8350 CPU (8x 4.00GHz/8MB L2 Cache)))
-Memory (32 GB [8 GB x4] DDR3-1600 Memory Module))
-Video Card (AMD Radeon HD 7970 - 3GB - Single Card))
-Motherboard (Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 -- AMD 970))

As of right now I can get about 550 MH/s tops running CGminer and in the 50btc pool.  I'm interested in what miner and pool to use/join in order to get the most out of my hardware.

Lol, image was shooped after I posted I just know it.

Yeah, a bitcoin forum may not be the best place.  I'm sure there are writing forums out there though that would give a read over.

I was horrible at writing, I never felt comfortable doing it or that I accomplished anything.  It was a lot of fun though, especially in school.
