3  Other / Off-topic / Mac vs Ubuntu on: November 01, 2012, 03:11:21 AM
Hey,
I am considering switching from mac to ubuntu any help/advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated!
Can anyone tell me if i will still be able to run these programs on ubuntu (tor, bitcoin and utorrent)
What program would I use as a replacement for word (will people I send this to be able to read the file type?)
What would I use to run avi files?
Will I be able to find versions of these Games (minecraft, modern combat, and gba/snes emulators).
Does WINE work and is there any options to run mac programs?
I know some/all of these questions are stupid!!
Thanks!

Just an FYI in case some of these cards are Visa gift cards from the USA:

"Due to changes in applicable law, gift cards purchased after March 31, 2012 may not be used for international transactions or purchases. Please use gift cards for domestic U.S. transactions or purchases only."

go to my thread for australian cards, usable in other countries

It takes BTC to make BTC.  Once you get some, check out the GLBSE or various deposit programs.

And of course, invest in NastyMining like he wants  Tongue

Don't forget my deposit program.   Wink

can you explain the details of your deposit program please?
thanks for the suggestions everyone!!
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Cryptography question on: June 13, 2012, 03:23:57 PM
Okay, done some more research and thought about the problem...
If eve=the eavesdropper, bob and alice= the people trying to communicate
the publicly shared number is 120
bob chooses a random number(4) computes 120/his number (30) and publicly sends this to alice,(eve also gets it)
alice does the same as bob using 6
the number bob received/the number he used to divide 120=5
alice does the same and gets 5
eve cannot make 5 from combinations of her numbers

can someone please tell me if this is a fluke, if there are problems with it or if it would work?

Are you talking about an algorithm used to salt a key?

I don't think so, though I may be confused, I have been researching diffie hellman key exchange
13  Other / Off-topic / Cryptography question on: June 13, 2012, 02:51:35 AM
Hey there
Can anyone inform me of a math problem that is easy going in one direction but difficult in the other?
In the sense of the encryption example using colours.(bob send yellow to alice and eve steals yellow, bob sends yellow mixed with green to alice and eve steals the mixture, alice sends red mixed with yellow to bob and eve steals the second mixture, bob and alice mix the colour they mixed with yellow with the mixture they got and they have a key that eve doesn't know about.)

Thanks!

It's like a Bitcoin Payday Advance loan.   I don't see anything wrong with charging high interest rates, as long as he's open and upfront about it.

1. Get 0.10 BTC loan
2. Buy 10 raffle tickets
3. Get your friends to do the same thing so the raffle ends faster
4. Win raffle
5. Pay back loan
6. Profit

Of course, a guy named Vinny might show up at your door and break your legs if 3-5 don't quite go your way.

Thanks you!
I swear I don't know anyone named Vinny.

$55 for ONE $20 card?

I'll sell you two anonymous VISA cards pre-loaded with $20 for that price, and still laugh about how much I'm making on my investment.
They can be reloaded, they are completely anonymous and the price includes registered post anywhere in the world, compared to the $40 postage and $40 card someone else is selling, this is a bargain. the price for more than one also drops considerably.
16  Economy / Goods / Re: CHEAP ANONYMOUS VISA on: June 09, 2012, 02:26:21 PM
He means this.

On topic, I assume these are the prepaid card you would buy in stores in Australia, which you mentioned in some other thread.

Some questions:
  • Are they refillable?
  • What name will there be on the card?
  • Can they be used in ATMs, if so, what are the fees.
  • Are there any other fees? What about using the cards in countries with other currencies?
  • What info will you be needing for orders?

they are refillbale
no name is on the card (valued cardholder)
from my understanding they can be used in ATMs, with a 3% fee for foreign conversion
the only other fees are $0.09 per transaction, capped at $0.99 per month
