1  Economy / Marketplace / Re: HomeVPN.com - is now proudly accepting Bitcoins! on: June 14, 2012, 06:06:18 PM
I am trying out the service right now Smiley
Free vouchers are working like a charm but payment is beeing delayed (not your fault, i belive it's mine :-P)

Speed is somehow okay

I am connecting from Germany so i think this seems ok Smiley
Hulu.com seems to work also Smiley Great VPN
Next to try is the Port Forwarding feature Smiley

Unlukily you can not choose the incomming port on the endpoint but only the "outgoing" port on the client. Don't know if this is going to work on all applications

Edit: Hulu seems to work without buffering or something else
Great Plus: If you have any active service and order another one, it will not be activated automatically. So you can "pre order" them for when you may need it later

Thanks for the tip logicus. With diablo miner i do get about 277mhash/s without overclocking and 310mhash/s at 1050MHz. That's 50mhash/s mrore (As much as my old nvidia card did in total :-P)

Thanks Smiley But i know this. I am specially looking for suggestions and experience with these Hosting Providers. When i had used this overview, i would have ended with Kalyhost and as far as i can judge them (i opened a presales support ticket and did not get any response) it would have been a bad decission Smiley

Thanks, i received it and already created a question for it. So it's basically not lost for your site Wink

Thanks for this tip, seems interesting too, but yesterday when i tried to access the website it told me the ssl certificate was invalid... So don't know if i can trust them...

For the moment i created an micro-tronix Domain Reseller Account (they also offer Bitcoin funding with this).
So when i do get enough btc i will try them out and hopefully will report something here Wink

Hi FreeMoney,

thank you for answering my question.
They seem ok for 10,99$ (I need the dns management addon for 1$ :-P)
But they do have a little down side, the do offer just a few tlds.
Maybe i give them a try when i have enough coins for a test domain Smiley

Any other suggestions?

Hi there,
as i am new to this whole thing i wanted to ask you if you know any ISP which offers Domain Name Hosting (Just DNS and Registration) for btc.

As far as i figured out there ist  Kalyhost.com but most people in the forum say they are not good. There have been a few other Hosts but they only offer Domains WAY to expensive (.com for 20USD? No way!) I do not need any  anonymization or stuff like this. I want to be Owner and Admin-C of the domain by myself.
Any suggestions? Thanks a lot Wink

So for me it sounds quite good what you get Wink

Hi there, this is Sebastian. I am from Germany and i already tried bitcoin in about 2011 but i just had a bad graphics card for mining so i canceld all bitcoin actions. Now i have a quite okay card (260Mhash/s) and i want to try my luck again.

I am mostly interested in the virtual goods part of bitcoins (Buying toplevel domains, webspace etc)
