7521  Other / Archival / Suggestion: Create MtGox board, PLEASE! on: June 23, 2012, 11:39:36 PM
Kinda surprised Gox doesn't have its own board already, being the foremost US exchange, and apparently most complained-about in the world of Bitcoin (like Microsoft is to computing).

The sheer amount of threads created about it gets in the way of reading anything substantive in Trading Discussion, and maybe other boards I haven't browsed yet.

Maybe an "Exchanges" board with each exchange having its own subsection.

And/or this.

Just brought it up with Scott at http://www.barcodeart.com/store/customizable/index.html - he said he hasn't gotten any bitcoin: QR code button or tattoo orders yet and would check out Bitcoin (I linked him to this forum). Hopefully we can make it worth his while to accept BTC for BTC products!

Haha, this is hilarious right next to the hand tattoo:

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name" (Revelations 13:16-17)."

I missed that. Holy crapballs! LOL

Everything I have on craigslist (with BTC prices auto-calculated in each post): http://fs.thebutterzone.com
Everything I have on CoinPost (easy to ship in USPS Flat Rate boxes): https://www.coinpost.com/users/thebutterzone
Will take GoxUSD codes or Liberty Reserve if you don't want to pay with BTC.

Been selling on craigslist for around a decade and constantly tweaking my ads to try to get sales and deter flakes.

Can do transactions over #bitcoin-otc WoT if you prefer.

perhaps a streamlined (dumbed down) bitcoin client or something to make it more adoptable for mainstream folk.

That would be FriendlyPay on iOS, as long as Apple doesn't make it walk the plank.

4 hours online, eh? I've done the 5 post minimum, but I may have to leave a browser tab open for 3 more hours, unless only active browsing of the forums counts as being online.
7528  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is people are willing to spend their bitcoin against goods? on: June 22, 2012, 09:10:06 AM
I certainly hope they are in the meatspace, otherwise all my preparation to accept it for my goods will have been in vain!
7529  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Businesses and Developers, Let's Get Started! on: June 22, 2012, 09:05:50 AM
I sell stuff and provide services for bitcoin.

I'm dreaming of BTC-related ventures as well; one is temporary tattoos sold in packs of your address QR-encoded, or hand stamps of the same, as long as either of them are legible to code readers scanning skin.

ETA: Oops, already exists, he just needs to accept BTC as payment: http://www.barcodeart.com/store/wearable/qr_button/index.html (scroll down a bit)

Spendbitcoins is probably the best for buying anything online with Bitcoins. Very easy to use.

Love love love Spendbitcoins. Used it many times now to convert to Amazon gift credit. The first time, Jeremy was being dicked around by Amazon, which caused a long conversion delay, so he sent me an additional, generous gift credit, for the inconvenience. With Amazon gift credit, you bank it in your account and it won't expire before you can spend it. If you're concerned about losing market value, or hacking if you don't keep an offline wallet, convert it! Can't wait until the conversions are instantly automated.
