Gonna do another ckdb update shortly.
.....

Web site will have lotsa '?' for the next 15mins or so.

Edit: restart completed about 5min ago

Hi Kano, are you doing some more changes/updates? I noticed the web say "Database is updating, mining is ok" or something along those lines. And now the stats are back to ?

I was going to post I feel a block coming along soon, as I saw the hash rate spike....

Blocks are expected, on average, to be longer than 200% 1 in ~7.4 blocks so yeah that's pretty common even at 200%

Thanks Kano, I'll not get so disheartened then if things take a bit longer.  Smiley

For anyone using the CKPool stats app on android, it looks like the app still crashes when the kano.is website stats are not available. This was meant to be fixed in the last update but possibly something still amiss. I've sent feedback to the app developer.

So close yet so far. And will feel a hell of a lot further in 10(ish) days with these diff + increases  Sad

I just noticed on the pool stats page there was this icon next to CKPool in the top left. I'm guessing these are colour codes to indicate some kind of status (as there is also a red one But any ideas to what they are indicating? And was there some kind of blip about 5mins ago?

They represent ckdb's state vs ckpool.
The pool runs in 2 very definite parts, and ckdb reports the state of it's connection with ckpool, using the colours up the top left.

Explained here:

and here:

Thanks for satisfying my curiosity Grin

wish I could afford some S7's but definitely wrong time of year for extravagant purchases Embarrassed I'll have to stick to my 10 x S1's. The amount of heat they give out is nice though as that floor of the house is toasty Grin although I'm sure they're eating way more juice then they're paying for (but luckily that's free ATM Roll Eyes)

I will be doing some main server updates shortly.

Hi Kano, would the server updates you have done cause the ckpool status app to report my hash rate was low? I'm guessing so as the site probably was not available/updating hash rates, but thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

EDIT: It was only earlier today that I got a low hash alert, stats back to normal now.

Lots of people mine part time due to many things and even Kano mines part time due to his energy costs. It has also been suggested that if the pool doesn't keep up with the difficulty changes then Kano may have to reconsider the 5N, but given the last few blocks the pool found since the dif. increase then I hope there will be no need to reconsider the 5N. I am grateful for the big boys here mining and Kano for his continued work on this pool (and CK). I am very new to all this but I have read enough to see that Kano (and most others) are happy with this pool and how its setup and very few changes will be done. If its not quite what people are wanting they need to find a more suitable pool for them.

Anyone who noticed, and wondered, about a small network problem at 2015-11-25 07:46:45 UTC?
Yeah the main server data centre seems to have lost a very small part of the internet for about 3 minutes.
Total hash rate that dropped off due to it, was about ~50THs, of the ~2450THs mining at the pool when it happened.
All back ok again by 07:50 UTC

I got a warning about my x count being high and then noticed the uptime was only an hour or so. I just thought it was a blip with my connection or power. power cycled and my x count back to 0. Wonder if the disconnect from the pool could cause one of my ant's to throw an asic tantrum.
214  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2900 TH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: November 25, 2015, 09:32:54 AM
Go to the register page: https://www.kano.is/index.php?Register=1

In the middle section titled "Register" enter your desired username and email address (not an Hotmail address) and then type your desire password twice (see the password requirements underneath the password box)

Any problems and it should tell you in that box what went wrong. hopefully it should just work if you follow the password rules and not use a Hotmail address. If it doesn't work let us know what you did and what error message you get.

Yes I have noticed a message one my CMD window but I toght that I was my connection problem.

I tried yesteday to open an account but it has failed...
I mine now just with my BTC address.

http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=36EwamvihBiZe4D2vV9j2kvQRUGsthemdX

is possible to open an account for this mining?

You wasn't trying to open an account with a public email like Hotmail was you? I noticed when I was signing up it didn't like Hotmail. When registering if you look above the field username that your trying to use you will notice an error message like "hotmail not allowed - please try again"

0.00010000 BTC or more for payout. After the block has 101+ confirms, then Kano makes the manual payment (usually a few hours after the 101th confirm depending on time of day). He always posts to let you know when payment has been made (and the transaction details).
217  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2900 TH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: November 22, 2015, 09:45:10 PM
Thanks for your comment, even though I am perfectly aware about all of that including the part that you said Kano must sleep. So you don't need to be sarcastic like that.

Hi anto, sorry if my post sounded sarcastic but it certainly wasn't meant that way and it was meant in jest, as Kano always seems to be here and never seems to rest.
218  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2900 TH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: November 22, 2015, 08:09:01 PM
"When are payments sent out?

The block 'Status' must first reach '+101 Confirms' on the Blocks page, and then is flagged as 'Matured', before the reward is distributed.
The block reward is sent out manually soon after that."

Kano must sleep from time to time so he will process payments as soon as he can. block 384805 is still being confirmed through the network so that might be confirmed when Kano processes the payments for block 384724.

actually looks like a payment just went through. But payment for block 384805 is still to be processed once 101 confirms has been done and Kano manually processes it.

Bitcoin Difficulty:   65,848,255,180
Estimated Next Difficulty:   72,643,178,782 (+10.32%)

Holy crap....

Not surprised, I've noticed antpool hashrate go up by over 20 PH/s in little over a week. Looks like people have got their S7's in time for Christmas.
